This town home feels more like a private home. It is built into a hillside with properties stacked so that you do not see your adjacent neighbor. You will experience 180 degree views with the nearby Santa Catalina Mountains to the North, a distant ridge to the East and undeveloped desert to the South. The South view also offers evening views of the distant lights of the city of Tucson.
The home has been recently painted and renovated with natural stone countertops, new carpeting in the bedrooms and travertine floors throughout.
You can enjoy breakfast and bird watching on the east covered patio "ramada" and star gazing from the seating area on the second ramada facing south.
The open one level floor plan is light filled . There are seven skylights. The kitchen is fully equipped and has counter seating. Newer refrigerator/freezer and dishwasher. Water filter system at the sink. The teak dining table can seat six plus. The living room has new comfortable couches from Room and Board, and a new internet connected Sony 4K 54" flat screen TV. We do not have cable TV All of our TV watching is streamed with Xfinity high speed internet. We have a ROKU ultra player and ultra ROKU remote to access Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV, Prime and others.
There are two desks and high speed internet with Wifi. The two separated sleeping areas each have their own bathrooms and walk-in closets. There is a King bed in the Master bedroom and a Queen bed in the second bedroom. There is washer and dryer and an attached garage No parking on the street. The driveway is short but steep.
You can enjoy a large community pool and hot tub about a five minute walk down the road or you can drive and park by the pool area. Beautiful tennis and pickle ball courts in the pool area.
This is a quiet residential community that has maintained significant open space to capture the beauty of the Sonoran desert.
It is a peaceful retreat that is still very convenient to several grocery stores, small malls and good restaurants and outdoor activities.
There is excellent hiking in Sabino Canyon(10 minute drive) or just out your door on the hills and washes in the neighborhood. Golf at nearby Ventana Canyon. The University of Arizona and the Tucson Museum of Art, just a 25 minute drive.
The gardens include bougainvillea, a cactus garden and many flowering shrubs and trees. Sadly our saguaro has come down, but it is still in several pictures posted. Arizona has just started collecting tax on short term rentals which is anything 30 days and under. If you rent for 31 days VRBO will not collect the hospitality tax.
We have included a floor plan and site plan so you can see the house and the yard.
This is a non smoking property, no smoking allowed anywhere on the premises. No loud parties please.
This is also a no pets property. If you are looking for a quiet home in a very quiet neighborhood with good light and views I think you will be happy here and we will be happy to share our home with you. Do not hesitate to write to me with any questions.

The rental was excellent, plenty of room, great location, and great views. Joanne and Tom provide a great property with all the amenities. They are always available and very friendly. We had a great stay and plan to return again, loved the entire property.

Lovely Tucson townhouse

We spent a month here. We enjoyed the lovely furnishings and art, the magnificent nighttime city views fro m their back patio, the convenience to neighborhood pool, to shopping, to the the rest of the city for exploration. Community residents we met were welcoming and helpful. The landlords were very easy to communicate with and to work with. This is also a very safe area.

We agree totally with all of the positive reviews. The property is spotless, bright, comfortable, private, and very conveniently located. Beautiful artwork throughout. Hummingbirds visit. Views of the mountains and city are magnificent, especially the colors at sunrise and sunset. Sunrise (the road) is nearby but the master bedroom is very quiet. Electronics work perfectly. Joanne is a very responsive hostess. We give this townhome our highest recommendation!

As seasoned VRBO renters we must say this home is fantastic. The location is convenient and the neighborhood is exceptionally peaceful. The setting is very private, the home is tastefully decorated and wonderfully appointed. The owners thought of everything.We did not lack for anything, and the place is spotless. The appliances are first-rate with plenty of tableware. Even the kitchen knives were sharp! The view from the side and back terraces are lovely. All of the instructions were thorough and owner was very communicative before and during our stay. We hated to leave!

This home has is very comfortable - fully-equipped and spacious kitchen, large and comfortable living room with TV (many channels) and sound system and excellent wi-fi. The master bedroom (all we used) has a very comfortable king bed, two desks with excellent chairs, awesome walk-in closet (skylight!) and ensuite. The home is beautifully decorated and is nicely designed with lots of natural light - but also has blinds and excellent air conditioning to keep yourselves comfortable. The property was immaculate and the owner was very responsive to communication. The location is perfect - close to Sabino Canyon for hiking, a Whole Foods Market very close by and of course Starbucks :) as well. We very much enjoyed this property!

Wonderful Spot.

Great views from several rooms and both patios! The space is wonderfully laid out with easy access to different living areas and nice artwork throughout. Quartz countertops and unique tile floors are a special feature. The owners were responsive and communication was easy. The property featured amazing bird watching as different types of birds would rotate through the yard in the morning. Humming birds, Gamble's Quail, Cardinals and Thrashers were some of the birds we saw almost on a daily basis. We also saw a female bobcat and at least one of her cubs and the occasional family of javelinas. The pool, spa and pickle ball courts are all well laid out and we took full advantage of our access. The neighbors in the development were very friendly and pleasant, too. We have stayed at many VRBO properties and this place is primo!

Great Views!

Nice place with great views. Everything worked like it should. The kitchen had everything we needed. I was worried about internet speeds as I was occasionally working and my daughter is E-learning. The internet is truly a high speed (200+mb down, 5+ up) and worked great! Lots of great areas to bike and hike. I wish I could have stayed longer!

Lovely, Peaceful Foothills Town Home

This townhome was a wonderful place for our extended stay. It was clean and very comfortable with beautiful artwork. The kitchen was well equipped and the master bedroom was quite comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the patios with their lovely plantings and views of the city lights and the mountains. Such a peaceful setting. It's near shopping and many restaurants for take out at this time. Also lots of hiking nearby at Sabino Canyon and in the Foothills. The owner was very helpful and communicated any needed information. We'd highly recommend a stay at this townhome.

Liebevoll eingerichtetes ruhiges Haus mit großartigem Blick

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt bei Joanne und Tom sehr genossen. Vom ersten Augenblick an haben wir uns zu Hause gefühlt. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und verfügt über wirklich alles, was man benötigt. Hinzu kommt der großartige Blick und die einzigartige Ruhe, obwohl es nur wenige Fahrminuten von guten Restaurants entfernt liegt. Wir haben schon in mehreren Ferienhäusern in Tucson gewohnt, auch in weiter abgelegenen, aber dieses hatte die für uns perfekte Kombination aus Ruhe und Nähe zu guter Infrastruktur. Auch wenn es in einer Community gelegen ist, bekommt man von den Nachbarn nichts mit und kann zudem den Pool und den Tennisplatz nutzen. Auch besonders: Es ist mit Abstand das sauberste Haus gewesen, das wir jemals gemietet haben. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Fantastic property

From the moment I first got in touch with Joanne this was one of the best experiences I have had on HomeAway. She was so responsive to all my questions and could not have done more to ensure my husband and I had a wonderful stay at her lovely property. The house itself is located in a perfect position for exploring all that Tuscson has to offer but, better yet, the views from every room of the house of the surrounding mountains are breathtaking. Sitting on the patio listening to the birds singing or the coyotes howling, glass of wine in hand, just can’t be beat! Places we enjoyed visiting include Saguaro National Park (East and West), Mount Lemmon, Tucson Botanicals Gardens, Tohono Chul Gardens, Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, Catalina State Park and last but not least, Sabino Canyon (just a 6 minute drive away and one of our favorites). Can’t wait to go back!

Great place, central for golfing and hiking

We rented this house for 9 nights and really enjoyed it. It is close to great golf and hiking. The house is extremely well maintained, cleaned, and nicely decorated. The kitchen is very well equiped if you wish to eat at home. We preferred to do this as the outdoor setting was so pleasant that we had dinner at home almost every night. Many birds are around the house and you will probably wake up to their songs! The garage was an added bonus allowing us to prepare inside daily for golf or hiking. The entire process with the owner was easy and efficient. Thanks again for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home. p.s. Do not miss hiking in Sabino Canyon and the driving up Mount Lemmon Annie and Alain from Montreal

Beautiful Place - Great Accomodations

Having rented for several years in Southern Arizona this was the first time we rented in Tucson - this home was very special and most welcoming. It offers location, comfort, ambiance and proximity to shopping, restaurants, Arizona University and places of local interest. What made it special were the privacy - the owners' gardens and her art - and of course the views of the city at night. We did not want for anything while there and while we had plenty of opportunity for golf, hiking, at Sabino Canyon - biking and swimming in the complex we had a week so spent time with local friends and relaxing close to home . We look forward to returning..

Truly a Gem!

Everything about this lovely home was spot on. The foothills location is beautiful and provides everything from wonderful wildlife sightings to good grocery stores and conveniences to great exercise walks around the neighborhood and world class hiking nearby. The house is very clean and is full of natural light from skylights and windows with excellent views. Plus, it is tastefully decorated with special pieces of art and upgrades throughout. The kitchen is well stocked. The beds are comfortable. The size is spacious and everyone in our group of 3 adults had plenty of room to spread out. Joanne is a responsive, kind and professional host. We all felt so appreciative that she rents out this special home. It is a gem in the HomeAway community.

Thank you Joanne and Tom for letting us stay in your wonderful Tucson home. We enjoyed your spacious place, including the pool and hot tub that were just down the lane. For VRBO readers, here's why you'll want to stay here: - Joanne is very responsive. We never needed anything during our stay, but we did contact her a few times to ask questions, and she always responded promptly. It cannot be overstated how important this is when you're renting a place. - The location is PERFECT. You are super close to great hiking in Ventana, the Sabino Canyon park, and Lemmon Mountain, and you're close to many great dining options, grocery stores, etc. And yet, you feel like you're in a secluded area. We even saw a bobcat on our walk back from the pool, which was awesome. - The home has all the appliances you'll need and is stocked with everything...dishes, towels, beach towels, and even a noodle for the pool. - We enjoyed sitting outside and watching all of the butterflies in the garden, and the desert quail and bunnies just outside the veranda. -You'll read that this is a town home, but there are no shared walls. It truly is a standalone home. You don't see another home when you look out any of the windows, so it feels and is secluded.

Absolutely Perfect!

We had a fabulous time staying at this property! My husband and I were in town for the University of Arizona graduation, so we decided to make a vacation out of it and stay for two weeks. The community is described publicly as "townhomes" but this particular place was a freestanding home, like a casita. It had absolute privacy, meaning from inside and on the patio you cannot see any neighbors directly, even though they were close by. We loved this privacy. The views are stunning both from front and back, and the garden is beautiful and well tended. The neighborhood is located conveniently to everything in Tucson, but you feel like you're in an oasis. You'll see lots of wildlife! There's a walking-distance, community pool (with outdoor shower, hot tub, restrooms, shade) and tennis courts, that is maintained nicely and is under close watch by neighbors :). We used this every day. The home itself is welcoming, well decorated, and well appointed with lots of art, books, magazines, and area guides. The entire home was SPOTLESS, with detail areas very very clean. The kitchen is loaded with any kind of dish you may need, and there are a couple areas for outdoor eating. There were plenty of clean linens and a washer/dryer, a feature we love because we swim so much. Beds were comfortable and the master suite was very spacious. Due to all the natural light and the open layout of the home, you feel like you're in a much bigger space, and we really liked this. Fitness walking is great here because of the hills; its very easy to get a quick workout just by walking around the neighborhood! The owners are gracious, responsive and left no questions unanswered. They treated us like family guests instead of customers! We will definitely stay here again!

Accomidations were fantastic. Kitchen fully equipped. Very , very clean. King size bed was very comfortable. Plenty of linens. Handy to grocery stores. Out door patio was surrounded with shrubs and flowering trees. Attached garage. Entire neighborhood was very peacful and quiet. House furnishings were lovely. Easy to travel to many attractions. Lovely Property

The house was as described and was very clean. It was stocked with everything needed. The neighborhood is quiet and was great for morning walks. The outside area is lovely and great for relaxing and watching wildlife. The pool area is a very short walk from the rental. The house is convenient to hiking, Tucson attractions, fabulous restaurants, and shopping. The owners provide great communication about the rental. We would rent this property again if available when we return to Tucson.

Felt like home after 24 hours!

Joanne & Tom seemed to have thought of everything to make our stay seamless. Their binder of instructions and suggestions was fantastic! When my wife wondered if there was a hat she could borrow for our hike in Sabino Canyon, to no surprise to me, there were multiple ones to choose from.

We hike, bike,walk, swim and hope to learn pickle ball. Other hobbies include gardening, bird watching, reading, cooking, painting and visiting museums, oh and going to estate sales and happy hour at El Charro and eating meals outdoors.

Why they chose this property

We love the variety of the views. The mountains feel so present . This is condo development was very well planned with mature plantings. All the buildings are one story and there is more open natural space than we ever expected to find. Standing on this property we have unobstructed views and a real connection to nature The area has interesting landscaping and our yard is filled with a wide variety of blooming plants, cacti and palms. We love the two outdoor covered patios . Such a pleasure to eat outside. In the evening nice to see the distant lights of Tucson.
The floor plan works really well to provide privacy when our daughters come to visit. We like the size of the pool and how well the community recreation areas are maintained. We are close to wonderful hiking in Sabino Canyon. We also can just walk out our door and get a nice walk up and down the hills in our neighborhood. If we decide to take up golfing there are so many wonderful courses near by. We enjoy concerts and lectures offered at the university and the art museums.
