Great place to spend a few days to recharge batteries.

The owner has put in a lot of work to make people feel at home in his property. We even saw the lyre bird.😊.

Setting was lovely but we mistakenly expected the views to be from the house. Open fire was amazing

Very good.

Lovely

The house was spotless and had everything you could require. The look out had amazing views. We even saw eight kangaroos hopping along the road! It was incredibly cold (below freezing) when we stayed and there was snow, so even with the fire, electric blankets and heaters we found it chilly, but I’m sure in normal winter weather it would have been cosy.

Escape to paradise in the mountains.

This was a beautiful house in a beautiful location, you really feel as if your a million miles away from everything and yet it’s only a few minutes drive to Blackheath. The house has everything you need to cook up that big hearty breakfast/ dinner and then you just sit back in the big cosy lounges in front of the beautiful fire place before you head off to to the most comfortable beds that are lovely and warm from the electric blankets. We had a wonderful weekend at this property and enjoyed all the beautiful bush surroundings. Thank you Greg.

Loved this hideaway in the mountains

The property was exactly as described and very nicely appointed. Great chilling out in front of the fire on cold nights. We all enjoyed (young and old) the outdoors exploring in the yard and walking in the bush. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway.

Relaxing winter retreat in Blackheath

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Eagles Nest at Blackheath. The property was perfect for eight people. The main living and kitchen area was a great space to enjoy our time together. We also liked the fact that it had a formal dining room. The kitchen is very well equipped and we loved the automatic coffee machine. It is about a 15 minutes drive from Blackheath near Hargraves lookout and the views are spectacular.

A Wonderful Eyrie at the Eagle’s Nest

We have just enjoyed a peaceful stay amidst the beautiful forests of the Blue Mountains. At the end of a picturesque drive into the woods, near Hargraves Lookout, Blackheath, to our delight we found Eagle’s Nest perched near the sandstone edges of the National Park. The house was extremely comfortable and well appointed. Everything was spotlessly clean and the house was very well equipped for self catering. We would highly recommend this property.

Blackheath Retreat

Eagles Nest was a great location for a family weekend. Huge comfortable living area with TV in separate location. Nestled in bush land with visits from wallabies and lyre birds, a lovely outdoor area for eating, relaxing and for children to explore. The walk to the lookout was beautiful. We loved the fireplace and relished the time away from "the madding crowd". However Blackheath which is only 6 kms away, offers everything one could wish for - coffee shops, supplies and restaurants although we chose to eat in. Most enjoyable - thank you Greg.

Modern well appointed house in a quiet bush setting

Greg was very helpful in all our communications. The kitchen is very well supplied with good quality utensils etc. The view from the living area kept us entertained with constant visits from a wide selection of birds including a couple of lyre birds! We were there in very cold weather so did make use of the large supply of wood for the fire.

An idyllic hidden sanctuary.

Eagle Nest is a bush sanctuary that feels like you could be in a remote destination yet in reality only less than 15 minutes drive from Leura shops and restaurants. An architecturally designed house boasting uninterrupted views and privacy at it’s best! Floor to ceiling windows and sky lights that capture the surrounding Blackheath bushland, flora and fauna that captures the ever changing wildlife scenery right in front of your eyes! The kitchen is modern and has everything you need to cook up a storm. The staircase is a designers dream as is the aesthetically pleasing decor. The coffee machine means you don’t actually have to go anywhere! The combination of fire place and deep comfortable couches makes for a great entertaining space and a great way to relax and take in all the surrounds. The private lookout was a great way to experience a bush walk and sunset with a view. A truly magnificent property! A wonderful way to spend time with friends.... The kind of property you fall in love with and remember forever! D.Bej Sydney

Eagle Nest was a great place for our family get away.

Eagle Nest had everything you need to settle in and have a relaxing break. The owners were easily contactable, it was clean and comfy. Loved the natural light, with the main living area opening onto the bush land. Easy walk to the beautiful look out. We would recommend to anyone.

Breathtakingly beautiful!

Eagles Nest is absolutely stunning! A beautifully furnished house surrounded by luscious bush land. The view from the living room alone is breathtaking - we had a lovely time sitting on the outdoor furniture looking out at the trees. All the bedrooms were very inviting and the beds were so comfortable. The beds were all fitted with electric blankets so we were kept very warm at night! The property was very clean and inviting. Greg was so helpful and very fast to respond when we had questions about the property and even offered to help us above and beyond our expectations. What a wonderful host! We had a great time in the living room by the fireplace, having cheese and wine and playing board games. We also highly recommend doing the walk to the lookout which is 10 minutes from the property - the view was spectacular! This property is 10 minutes by car from Blackheath's local shops. All the produce we purchased was amazing. Greg recommended we buy sausages from the local butcher - they were delicious! This was the best Stayz experience we've had so far. Highly recommend booking this charming property for a relaxing getaway. You will love it!

A Sanctuary in the Mountains

Eagles Nest was the perfect place to get away from the crowds and enjoy a family get together. The house is tastefully furnished and well appointed with everything you need. All bedrooms have queensize beds that are very comfortable with doonas and electric blankets. The wood fire and the comfy lounges were the perfect end to a day of sightseeing and bushwalking. The property was interesting to explore with the view from the private platform being stunning. Our whole family enjoyed our stay at Eagles Nest.

Private Santuary

Feels like a million miles away yet a short trip has you back in town. The private look out was a lovely spot for a sunset picnic. House was immaculate and well equipped with everything we needed. We watched the wildlife wandering past while we sat at the breakfast table.

Blue Mountains Accommodation at its Best!

We thoughtfully enjoyed our stay at Eagles nest. The house is well presented and clean. Super comfy lounges and beds. Great fireplace. Well appointed kitchen. Total privacy but only a short drive to Blackheath village. An abundance of wildlife. Birds are everywhere. The views from the private lookout are absolutely spectacular. Over all, an excellent place to relax and recharge your batteries. We loved our stay and will be back :)
