This lovely Queenslander lived up to all out expectations clean ,fitted out with all the mod cons
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay especially having a BBQ in the evenings on the back deck (very relaxing )

Normally I wouldn’t typically write a review, but given our experience I felt compelled to do so. Initial impressions were good, however these were short lived. The property is far from described in the listing and starting to show its age since it’s last renovation. Simple things like doors not closing and general wear and tear not being maintained to name a few things. Cleanliness was poor, furniture and carpets/rugs are stained as were the sheets in one of the bedrooms and the dooners in most rooms. The bathrooms were moldy and pubes and hair remains were on the floors and shower bases/drains. The security of the property was poor with the back door not locking and the locked front door able to be opened from the outside through the side shutters. Steve the host did get these fixed the next day after numerous attempts to contact him. The property sleeps 8 people, however only enough dishes and cutlery for 5 people. Other touches of convenience were simply not there. We stayed for a week, however only 3 dishwasher tablets were provided, no dish cloth, lacking rolls of toilet paper etc, the small things which are expected for a longer stay, but not provided. The air conditioners on the three side bedrooms stopped working during our third day, and again Steve the host was most difficult to communicate with and were not fixed for over 2 nights. Steve inaccurately describes himself as a super host, however we found him to be rude and a very poor communicator. The location of the property is convenient, however the listing doesn’t mention the proximity to the salt water mangroves and the sand flies that go with it. The house has no flyscreens, but a note on the wall in the kitchen from the host points out there is aeroguard and fly spray provided for the guests convenience. This is not a property I would want to stay at again especially for the amount of money paid.

Thanks for taking the time to submit a review. Sorry to hear you didn't have an enjoyable stay. I did try to resolve any issues. The air-conditioner unfortunately had an issue on a public holiday so yes there was a 2 day delay because of this and it was resolved immediately the day after. From time to time there are issues at houses I can only action them as I am made aware.
This house was an absolute treat. The property was perfect and in great condition. We didn’t have any issues at all and our host Steve was phenomenal! This house is situated perfectly in Townsville and is relatively close to the city. I would recommend staying here and will 100% be coming back !

Pretty property. Too congested for 7 adults. Lounge area for three only. Given proximity to mangroves nearby outside areas were not able to be utilised comfortably.
This property was fantastic for family of 5. Visiting for a family 90th, convenient meeting place for all the family. Extremely comfortable, clean and central location. Steve’s communications were always prompt and obliging. Certainly a great place and would definitely stay again. Thank you
Great recently fully renovated old Queenslander style house. Well appointed and close to city and restaurants (6-7 Min by car). Very Comfortable. Highly recommend.

This beautiful home did not disappoint!
We arrived at the tail end of the floods but were at ease as Steve (owner) checked out the property for us and had great communication!
The house is beautiful and has been renovated with style! Airconditioning was greatly appreciated with the high humidity and made relaxing with a netflix movie all the better.
The house was clean and had all the comforts of home away from home. Will happily go back for my next Townsville trip!

We could want for nothing more. The house was clean and tidy and the owner was extremely hospitable. An added bonus was having my pet stay at the property. It was a home away from home.
I highly recommend the property to anyone who wishes to be accommodated in a house that is pet friendly.
I also stayed in the same owners house in 14A Primrose St, North Ward which was prestigious. Great location and plush furniture and fittings. Highly recommended.

Home away from home
The owners were very nice and extra helpful and provided us with everything we needed for the 4 nights that we stayed at this amazing home. We were a bit worried when we booked the place because there is no reception and room service however the owners made sure we had everything we needed including spare towels and supplies and allowed us to deposit our suitcases after check out. Location was excellent and the house was absolutely spotless, spacious and very homely. The only downside is cleaning service is not provided but we were lucky we had plenty of time to tidy up the place before we left as the owner allowed us late check out. We definitely recommend this place

This property took my breath away
This home has been renovated to perfection! The owners have kept the beautiful character and charm of yesteryear while completely renovating the residence including all the mod cons! Fast internet, Netflix, amazing kitchen and bathrooms massive deck great for entertaining the list goes on and on. Will definitely be staying again.

We had a great stay and would come back again. The property was very clean and tidy and presented beautifully. There were lots of little touches that made the stay very comfortable such as Netflix, Wifi, even things like bug spray and body wash which made the place feel like home. It was a short drive to The Strand and had local parks to take the dogs for a walk. The property is fully fenced along with privacy from the neighbours which suited our dogs. The house was very spacious with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Thank you for having us! We would definitely return in the future.
