Gaye was very helpful with explaining where we could explore the area.
Great Place but definitely needs MODERN FACILITIES..
Beautiful and awesome place to stay.. but afew disappointments..
- NO MICROWAE
- NO WIFI
- NO kid games to play..
and worst.. was the WASP nest right in the patio..
rooms were clean and beautiful house.. (just abit small for families with kids (aged 3-12)... but no microwave, rice cooker, powered kettles and no wifi were the biggest let down..
BUT.. LOVE the anzac biscuits.. should sell them..
We had a lovely time at the Wilderness Bunkhouse. The property is very comfortable with everything we needed. The outdoor firepit at night was lovely and the pre-prepared firewood was very much appreciated! Gay was very welcoming and helpful.
This is the best place we've ever been. It's in remote area yet the house is so comfortable to stay. We would love to stay a lot longer than 5 nights next time. The view from the house is really breathtaking. Gay is such a friendly host who is happy to give us her rich knowledge of the area. We enjoyed bush walking around property, tracks. Wildlife is just wonderful to watch.
What a wonderful retreat you have there Gay. On behalf of my family and I, thank you.
Everything is ready to enjoy when you walk into this gorgeous hideaway. The fires are stacked, the jar is stacked with homemade cookies and million dollar view is right outside the front door.
This property is magical. Nestling the Wollemi National Park with easy access to stunning Ganguddy/Dunn Swamp and incredible views of Mount Coricudgy - we couldn't have had a more relaxing time. Thanks so much Gay - we appreciated everything about your place and your hospitality.
The wilderness bunkhouse was beautiful - the property around is breath taking. Contact with the owner was easy and meeting them daily to check everything was ok was a nice touch. Thank you so much for the Anzac biscuits they were very much appreciated and enjoyed.
The bunkhouse is in good condition and the owner has provided great hospitality. It was a wonderful experience for all of us and the children simply love what the natural environment can offer! Thank you!
Great property, clean and comfortable, Amazing vista, friendly host, lots of local info available at the house (bushwalking maps for tracks straight from the property, bird lists and guides etc), thanks for the homemade cookies. Not far from dunns swamp Which is worth a visit for a swim and kayak. Will visit again

Idyllic getaway
A fantastic place. We just loved having bush walks and wildlife on our doorstep. The teenagers forgot about devices and ran wild and the adults enjoyed the tranquility of no phone reception or Internet - bliss. The house is cosy and well-designed and had everything we needed. Gay was away so we were hosted by her friends who were delightful and extremely helpful - as was Gay in the lead up to our visit. We would love to return to the Wilderness Bunkhouse.
