Gorgeous Two Bedroom Modern Farmhouse Cottage

Conveniently located in the pumpjack capital of Texas, A.L. Cottages' Wilson House is a beautifully decorated 2 bedroom/1 bath home featuring modern farmhouse decor and amenities. Wonderfully located across the street from the Electra City Park and just about a mile from everywhere in town! If you’re missing a little bit of city life, Wichita Falls is just a short drive away! Bring your pets! $25 non refundable pet fee.

Bedrooms:
You'll sleep soundly in the two high quality queen beds with warm, breathable, and comfortable bedding. Each room is equipped with blackout curtains to keep rooms nice and dark! You can stay entertained because each bedroom is equipped with 43" Smart TV with Roku and Guest Mode.

Kitchen:
The wonderful open floor plan kitchen overlooks the living room is perfect for conversing or watching your favorite program on the living room's 55" Smart TV equipped with Roku and Guest Mode. Beautiful stainless steel appliances give the kitchen a beautiful clean look. A large rustic center island with two industrial stools is great for providing extra storage, counter space, and a rustic feel. Enjoy a fully stocked coffee bar with a variety of coffees, teas, and hot chocolates at any time. You don't need to bring anything from home, the kitchen is supplied with cookware, dishware, and silverware!

Bathroom:
Enjoy the large walk-in shower with two sliding glass doors and the built-in shower dispenser! Get ready for bed or the day ahead with a superbly lit and stocked sink area with a vessel sink! Get dry and clean with high-quality towels, washcloths, hand towels, and special black makeup washcloths!

Laundry:
Staying multiple days? We have a high capacity washer and dryer with a built-in folding area and hanging rod for delicates!

Living Room:
The living room has an open floor plan connecting with the kitchen! Perfect for conversations or watching the food cook while watching your favorite programs on the 55" Smart TV with Roku and Guest Mode! Rest easy on two comfortable slate grey wing back chairs and a rustic leather love seat that are wonderfully accommodating!

Deck:
The full length of the house string lit deck offers a living room style seating area perfect for the morning coffee or just a leisurely evening.

Firepit/Grill:
Enjoy the custom built firepit/grill with four adirondack chairs!

Front Porch:
The front porch is equipped with two relaxing adirondack chairs to watch the sunset or watch the your kids play at the park across the street.

Relaxing Country Cottage

This was one of the best experiences that me and my boyfriend have had. It was quiet, cozy, and very affordable. We would definitely recommend this place to others and we will definitely be staying here again next time we come through town.

The Best Cottage

We enjoyed our stay at AL cottages in Electra. The house exceeded our needs. It was very convenient to all of our events for the weekend. The property was just as described. We look forward to staying at the cottage again.

The house is nice and a nice , quiet neighborhood. Traveling with physically challenged older adults, it would be nice to have grab bars and seat in the shower. I did not verify this before I booked. We aren’t familiar with Roku TV so it was difficult for us to use. It would be good to have at least one additional mirror as well. I would recommend this place for others if they aren’t physically challenged.

Sweet place in the small city.

Totally unexpected and suprisingly awesome. Cute place and well maintained. Manager repliew were quick and very accommodating. Theres a park across the street with a playground and basketball court. Quite and peaceful. I will definitely be returning.

Super Convenient Off Hwy - Super Clean & VERY Gracious Host

Hi, if you're looking for a convenient (minutes off main road), super CLEAN place with a very gracious host, this is the place! The cottage is outfitted with everything from makeup towels to great keurig coffee selections, and a cozy living room/open kitchen design with 2 bedrooms, laundry - the works. But the best part was the host - he graciously sent a picture of a bag of personal items that never made it into our suitcase as we left, and when I offered to pay to mail it, he'd already taken it to ship to us Priority Mail to the local post office, sending the link for my payment thru the app like the main booking. The only reason we didn't give the location 5 full stars is the park nearby, which had some noise (teenagers in a small town) the night we checked in, but when I messaged the host about that, within minutes the local police were driving by, and it was super quiet for the rest of the whole night! So the very gracious man who owns/rents these units was kind enough to even go out of his way to ask local police to come by when the kids were just being kids -- which you cannot beat. Thank you and we do recommend any properties this host has listed - they're beautiful, clean, and exactly as pictured.

We came to Electra to take care of my uncles estate. The location was near his house and only 30 minutes to Wichita County Courthouse. It’s was a very comfortable little house to stay in.

The cottage was very comfortable and provided a nice quiet getaway. Very well laid out and maintained. The weather was very warm when I was there but the cottage was always very cool. Great shower, too. A few places to eat nearby and a grocery store. I would stay there again.

Road trip oasis

It’s so relaxing to drive into the yard and walk mere steps to the quiet and cool cottage. The neighborhood is very quiet and the location has the privacy you won’t find many places. I wish there were more options like this along our route.

This was one of the nicest places we've stayed in using VRBO. Just absolutely beaufiful, comfortable,AWESOME!! Everything about the property was perfect... from the welcome, to the accomodations themselves, to the small details the owner provided. We absolutely loved it. An Impeccable Experience: Clean, Well-Stocked, and Superior to a Hotel Stay!

If you're searching for comfort, cleanliness, and convenience, look no further. First and foremost, cleanliness is paramount to me, and I was thrilled to find that A. L. Cottage exceeded my expectations in this regard. When we arrived the house was nice and cold. Everything was clean and spotless. The beds were comfortable and clean. The kitchenette was thoughtfully stocked with complimentary coffee, sugar and half and half. The internet worked and had a wide selection of entertainment options. Comparing my stay at to a traditional hotel experience is like contrasting night and day. You would be crazy to stay at a hotel. You have the privacy and comfort of a home here. The location is of a small town. Safe and quiet. My only complaint was the bath towels are too small and I am not a big person. So if your traveling and need a rest stop, this is it, look no further. Overall, A+.

Why they chose this property

A.L. Cottages' Wilson house has been through it all just about! This once abandoned property was purchased for the City of Electra for $1500 by Anthony Lynn in early 2018. Anthony spent lots of time and money redesigning and remodeling the Wilson house to make it one of Electra's first short term rental properties. Anthony traveled back and forth to his hometown of Electra while in the Air Force and working as a hotelier in OKC. He and his family always had to get a hotel room in Wichita Falls but longed to be in Electra close to family. Anthony also wanted to assist the community by providing an excellent place for other fellow Electrans to stay when visiting. Come stay in this beautifully remodeled and decorated property located in the pumpjack capital of Texas!
