Very nice cabin. Clean and comfortable with everything we needed. We had a great time, and it was in the perfect location between the state park and the main town.

Tried to purchase my silence at 10:11am on 03/15
My family and I arrived around 8pm on Friday, 03/10/23. Upon arrival I did a full inspection of the property which included checking all beds for cleanliness. I am a licensed pest technician in the great state of Texas so I pay very close attention to the beds for bed bugs. The bed that is on the right of the upstairs was littered with bed bug feces. Both the mattress and box spring encasement a were covered in the feces. This is the fecal matter form the blood of humans that the bed bug leaves behind. At 11:01pm I texted the number that came with the email. It was late so I did not expect a response. No one had responded on Saturday so at 4:33pm I sent an email with pictures to the manager. Today is Wednesday 03/15/23 and just a moment ago at 10:11am someone responded. The lady on the phone LITERALLY tried to purchase my silence and asked that I not mention this in a review if she gave me the cleaning fee back! Literally tried to bribe me! First, this company has no issues with you lying in the feces of bed bugs, which is the blood of others left behind. Second, there is also a camera above the front door that sees you and since it is a “Ring” can hear you every time you walk out or up. I call that an “Invasion of Privacy” and is VERY DISTURBING! I would encourage each person who reads this to pass on any property operated by “Creative Escapes”. The cabin was very cute and the location is fantastic, it’s ashamed that it isn’t managed properly.
When we arrived the hot tub wasn’t heating-the manager had someone come out and it was fixed. Then i noticed the washer was broken with standing water in it. I contacted management again and they said someone would come out. They ended up sending handyman to incorrect cabin, and long story short we went our entire stay without a washer. Then the mice….when I contacted the manager about the mice no one responded. I asked for a partial refund and the manager gave me $150 of my $1500 stay. I will not stay in this cabin or another cabin managed by them again. I’ve stayed in broken bow before and never had these issues.
Now for the good-the blankets they provide are nice and comfy, the kids loved the bunk room and the upstairs loft. The cabin is adorable and very clean. The kitchen provided all we needed and the firewood was a nice treat for our campfire.
The cabin was so comfortable, homey and beautiful. The fire pit was throughly enjoyed and the location so peaceful. We only wish we had stayed longer.

We wanted so badly to love it.
Pros: appeared very clean, good decor, very inviting and homey but also spacious. Loved the layout and was great for our family of 5. We didn't know there was a another bedroom with bunkbeds so that ended up being perfect for our kids and not having to share a room with our baby. Loved the fireplace and that wood was provided. Hot tub was awesome and beds were comfortable. Absolutely love taking our dog on vacations with us.
Cons: the rodents, ruined it for us. So even though things appeared clean we found droppings and they had gotten into our sealed food. We found out after the first night and it just made it hard to relax knowing that the dishes and counters were contaminated. No dustpan to sweep up into, door knobs weren't tight/working properly so we almost got locked out of the bathroom after someone closed the door. Also couldn't close the door to the laundry room and the laundry room light wouldn't work. Both showers were small. And being very close to neighbors didn't make it feel very private and had to shut the curtains because you can easily see into the living area from the street.
Great spot for a family of four to explore the area! Cabin was clean and very well stocked. Kitchen had everything needed for lots of cooking, plenty of towels for both the baths and the hot tub, lots of extra cozy blankets for living room and bedrooms. Excellent communication with property managers before and during the stay. Super convenient location to the lake/park as well as local restaurants, directions were easy to follow. We enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings as well, there was some wood already there but it was rainy and damp so we grabbed a starter log which was helpful.
We are former Broken Bow cabin owners and frequent renters, but this was the first time we have rented a cabin via Vrbo. It could not have been easier! The cabin was dog-friendly (we had two with us) but the neighborhood was not particularly so. Every walk was cut short or aborted after “greetings” from the resident pets, some of which were unleashed or not fenced. I get it: dogs can’t tell the difference between a renter and an intruder. As for “communication with the property manager,” there was none other than signage and messages telling us what not to do posted all over the place.
Property was nice. I would probably look to do something different for 10 adults as it felt a little tight especially sleeping.
Was a little disappointed in the shower downstairs as the cold side handle would not stay on and the hot side was on so tight it was very hard to turn and eventually twisted off completely. All in all it was a great spot and I would definitely recommend it.
It was such a nice place to stay! It was perfect for what we need and it’s so close to the state park! Also was a great little neighborhood to walk the dogs! It was clean and the hot tub was great! We will definitely be staying here again!
Great cabin and location! Everything was very clean and all the supplies you need. It was super cold with some snow,so we didn't get out a lot. Hot tub was great as well. Thanks again, we will be back for sure!
This vacation spot was perfect for my 8-person family. I wish that the half bedroom was more spacious since we had 8 adults, but everyone was comfortable overall. It was even furnished with a Christmas tree which was a pleasant surprise! I would definitely visit again!
