Stayed at Red Dog and The Pup over Easter and really enjoyed our time there. Great location and owners made us feel so welcome leaving a couple of bottles of wine and flowers. Had everything we could have needed.
We had a great weekend at Red Dog with our family and two dogs. The pool was lovely to relax in during the build up and we enjoyed the beach for walking the dogs and fishing. We had an issue with the microwave, but the host was quick to respond and find a solution.
3 adults stayed in red dog retreat, was very comfortable had great nights sleep, only the shower had very little pressure. They had a pool but we didnāt use it as we went out everyday to fish so was good to sleep comfortably.
A great little place for small groups and kids. Short track to the beach where there is furniture to sit. Good covered outdoor areas for bbqs. Well equipped.
I really enjoyed how this property catered for the whole family. Fishing for dad, sunsets and wine for mum, games and a pool for the kids. We had a really relaxing time and will hopefully be back soon. PS Pop was the giant Jenga champion
The property was not clean, mouldy curtains, floors hadnāt been vacuumed or washed before our arrival. Food on kitchen floor from previous guests.Bathroom pressure was ridiculous for a shower however no problem with the auto irrigation that came on morning and night and wet the outside area every morning. Signs saying Couldnāt use water to wash clothes, boat, fishing gear which was why we went to Dundee so our boat didnāt go in the water for the whole 3 days whilst there after paying a fair amount to stay for the 3 nights over a long weekend.
Great place, everything you need, amazing sunsets and pool a welcome bonus in the heat.
Overall the stay was great and the house and location perfect, the managers of the property had to come over a couple of times and sort the pool pump (these things can't be helped) what was a bit frustrating was we booked the place for my birthday for 3 days to have a bit of a break from the caravan and on the morning on my birthday 3 utes and tradies let them selves in, drove right up to the house and were there until nearly 2pm building a fence at the property, we had plans and were out for a few hours that morning but just felt uncomfortable using the pool or being outside while they were all there and it's not really the done thing. They also left the gate open when entering, and leaving and one of my deaf dogs ran out onto the road that's how I realised it was left open. As I explained to the property manager and asked to pass onto the owner had we of known prior as we booked it for some peace, quiet and privacy we probably would have booked somewhere else if those works were going to happen during our stay. I guess when you pay close to $1000 for somewhere and people are on the property its not really ok, as I said I bnb my home and if this had happened I would have offered my guests some sort of compensation.
As I said above the actual house, location and property management were absolutely lovely so I don't want this to deter from all those positives.

I have taken all your comments onboard Aleasha, thank you.
As you were told, I did let the owner of the property know you weren't happy about the inconvenience of the tradies turning up to finish a fence on the property while you were staying..
As discussed with you by message, the owner wasn't aware they were turning up that day and I did apologise for that.
I would like to advise you we didn't receive anywhere near $1000 for your stay and you as an Airbnb host should know there are fees involved with bookings.
After your stay we had to spend extra hrs cleaning at the property to remove dog hairs which I was annoyed at, as you did tell me you would do a good clean up after your fur babies.
As much as I love dogs and yours were amazing, you should realise an Airbnb has to be kept exceptionally clean.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your travels.
Kind regards Jenny
