About this property
Modern home with large deck, stunning ocean views plus ocean access!
Suitable for 1 professional couple and a child over 12 yrs old.
On the beautiful Sunshine Coast in West Sechelt, BC, Canada, our home is about 2.5 hrs from the Vancouver airport (including the ferry) or a 20-minute float plane ride with Harbour Air.
Our home, part of a modern luxury waterfront development, is one home back from the waterfront cottages but the main floor looks over them with stunning 180* views of Georgia Strait, the mountains of Vancouver Island and down to the Olympic Peninsula and Mt. Baker in the US.
Our ocean view offers much entertainment. Within our bay, there are resident eagles and all types of water fowl, such as herons, painted ducks, loons, kingfishers. Various whales and dolphins also visit here. There is also much human activity such as kayakers and paddle boarders, as well as tugboats with their booms and further out, cruise ships sail past to catch the sunset on their long journey up to Alaska. Observe all this from our deck or by sitting on a log on the beach or better yet, in your kayak! You can leave your kayaks securely fastened on the beachfront for easy access.
For hikers and mountain bikers, there is an extensive network of local trails. For more information, see:

Kayaks, paddle boards and mountain bikes can be rented in nearby Sechelt village.
Sechelt village has a good aquatic centre although you can enjoy a refreshing swim off our beach in the heat of summer alongside other locals! Bring water shoes as the beach is pebbly.
There are also several good eateries and shops to discover in our nearby village but also all along, up and down the Sunshine Coast:
- the Lighthouse pub, an 8-10 minute drive is enjoyed for its waterfront decks overlooking the docks in Porpoise Bay where Harbour Air float planes land.
- A walk up the hill from us brings you to Bricker’s Ciders for a glass of their own cider and a snack.
- the Upper Deck Restaurant in Secret Cove offers great food and views towards Thormanby Island.
- Nearby Sechelt village has several bakeries and coffee shops, grocery stores, a fishmonger, 2 butchers, liquor store, clothing stores and specialty shops.
All within an easy 30-minute drive, you can explore the quaint villages of Gibsons, Roberts Creek, Davis Bay, Halfmoon Bay, Secret Cove, and Pender Harbour. Egmont, with its famous and easy Skookumchuck hike to view rapids is about a 45-minute drive. Trendy West Vancouver centre is only 1 hr 30 minutes away (including the ferry trip across) and many locals do day trips just beyond that to Vancouver city to access special services and activities found there.
