•A spectacular 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom (sleeps 6) year-round waterfront cottage in pristine Secret Cove. This large and very private home sits on an acre of land at the end of Secret Road and backs onto Crown Land with an extensive local trail network. Newly renovated and furnished, Enchanted Woods has unparalleled views, a private 30 ft dock, large wrap around decks, a fully equipped kitchen, large indoor and outdoor living areas, a wood burning fireplace, 2 outdoor fire pits and an outdoor shower.

•Enchanted Woods is best suited for families or intimate groups of friends who have a passion for nature and are looking for a quiet, peaceful retreat. Secret cove is a tidal fjord with amazing bird watching, marine wildlife, kayaking, swimming, and hiking. Access to your own 2 single kayaks and a stand-up paddleboard is included.
•The cottage is located 5 minutes (by car) from Homesite Creek Falls hiking trails, the historic Halfmoon Bay General Store, Upper Crust Café in Halfmoon Bay, Rockwater Resort (enjoy an amazing meal and couples massage!), Buccaneer Marina (with a local water taxi and boat rentals), Secret Cove Marina (featuring a floating general store and the Upper Deck floating restaurant in the summer), and the breathtaking Smuggler Cove Marine Provincial Park (accessible by both land and water). Buccaneer Bay Provincial Park (with pristine white sand beaches) is located on Thormanby Island and is accessible by either water taxi or kayak (weather permitting). Past guests have enjoyed activities as diverse as fishing, scuba diving, stand up paddleboarding, golf, mountain biking (Suncoaster Trail Network), caving (Homesite Limestone Cave Trails), cross country skiing/snowshoeing (Dakota Ridge Winter Recreation Area), and triathlon training (amazing local rides and ocean swims – the Sechelt Aquatic and Fitness Centre is only 30 minutes away by bike!)

Enchanted Woods is the perfect moniker for this gem of a spot. Gorgeous, private, forested, and right on the water (and even better in person!). The inlet is so calm, ideal for an early morning paddle. The wood stove was a favourite, and the kitchen was a dream: spacious, well-stocked, and great for cooking together. It was dreamy, cozy and quiet - couldn’t ask for a single thing more!Already planning our next stay - can’t wait to return!

A lovely house in a beautiful location

It was just as I had hoped, a beautiful location overlooking the narrow bay. A lovely, comfortable open plan house and a great place to visit with family. It is also well placed to explore the area and find hidden trails.

A lovely peaceful spot with everything you'll need for a great stay 'n play. We enjoyed exploring Secret Cove and surrounding trails. We'll be back!

Fall Family visit

Thank you for a wonderful stay. This is our second time at the property and we came a little earlier in the year to enjoy less rain, and it definitely paid off! So many great hikes nearby and the property was a perfect fit for our family of 6. Thanks again, we hope to return!

Enchanted Woods was the perfect location for two tired teachers to rest and recharge. Fantastic spot close to multiple provincial parks. Tranquil home, spectacular scenery.

Great adventures to be had!

Enchanted Woods is a perfect spot to experience the rugged BC coast. Even though it was mid December, it was not too cold to use the kayaks at the property and paddle the protected waters to enjoy the ocean and it's critters. The wood stove and many windows allowed for a cozy place to watch the tidal world wake and retire at days end. Furnishings are comfortable and not over done. We need more days here as we left some adventures on the table.

Beautiful, Incredible Getaway!

We booked the Enchanted Woods Cottage for a small elopement and I can't say enough how beautiful the place is. Gorgeous property, clean and well stocked home, the cottage provided us with everything we needed to host our group. We even had a private chef cook for us and the kitchen was well stocked for a multi-course event! The host was responsive and helpful with any questions I had as well. A quiet, secluded, magical space that I hope to stay in again soon!

Great summer vacation spot

Truly an enchanting location - so peaceful and quiet. It was wonderful to be right on the water. Because the inlet is tidal, the water was warm enough for swimming and we made daily use of the kayaks and paddleboards - even paddling out to see a herd of seals sunning themselves on the rocks. When we weren't on the water or exploring the hiking trails, we spent many happy hours relaxing on the deck. Jennifer is a great host - quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Thank you for a fabulous week - we would love to return to Enchanted Woods.

Enchanted Woods

Enchanted Woods was the perfect name for this cozy home in the woods. My daughter and I kayaked everyday, hiked Smugglers Cove just down the road from the property. Jennifer was so thorough with directions and quick in answering all my questions. The home had everything we needed to be comfortable. We had no problems or complaints. I highly recommend this property.

Beautiful relaxing getaway

Lovely, quiet area with beautiful nature all around. The cottage was the perfect size and had everything we needed! We had coffees on the large deck, went paddle boarding right off the dock, had a fire in the fire pit with marshmallows and even saw a bear in the evening across the way on the hill. As soon as we arrived we checked dates for the rest of the summer as we're hoping to book again but it appears all full up! I understand why though. It is a beautiful property. Will definitely be staying there again.

We found the cabin to be dirty and the supply cupboard needs to be up dated.There is broken piece of concrete, just about went down.We went to use the BBQ and the propane tank was completely empty.The stove and oven ard very dirty,wasnt able to use them.We did manage to change it with a lot of difficulty. Everything else a good,we really enjoyed the outdoor living space.

Stunning location, and so peaceful. Spacious cottage. Host is great. One upper bedroom is a loft open to the living area below. Some upkeep that needs attention, but everything clean and functioning in the kitchen. Caution required on pathway steps and steps to dock, but host has said they are taking care of that. Lots of towels in bathrooms, but no shampoo or body wash (as noted in the amenities listed), so don't forget to bring your own. No way to start wood fire (bbq lighter out of fuel). Really magical spot, and having the use of the kayaks was terrific - we enjoyed a lovely quick paddle out to Secret Cove. Would love to go back for a longer stay.

A lovely spot with gorgeous views from a wraparound deck of the narrow, tidally-variable inlet and an unpopulated and richly-vegetated rock face opposite. The cottage is simple and comfortable, situated in a quiet area. Do note that one of the three bedrooms is somewhat open to the living room and kitchen below.

We had a wonderful stay at this rental. The location was perfect. It was a short drive to all the lakes and Madeira Park for supplies.The view on the deck was awesome and so peaceful. We had access via a dock to a paddle board and 2 kayaks as a little bonus.The kitchen was clean and functional. The BBQ was great for easy dinners while enjoying the view.The bedrooms were comfortable and bathrroms clean.We would recommend this rental.

Great spot for the family and water access is a huge plus

Our second time staying at this location and it was as good as the first time. Beautiful location and great having the dock for swimming and access to the kayaks and paddleboard which supplied hours of fun for our family. A few small things could be updated/spruced up, newer small appliances in the kitchen such as the coffee maker, smaller couch leather is peeling off, a blanket is layed on it to cover it and one side is sunken in, carpet upstairs has some staining upstairs area and pathway down to the dock could use some landscaping to tame the growing shrubs ect. but overall I highly recommend this property and it doesn't affect enjoying the area and what it offer. Will book again for sure!

Relaxing location

This stay is in a great location, the kayaking is super fun. The house is close to some great nature walks. Close enough to town but far enough away for tranquility. The house itself could use a bit of care and attention. One of the couches is torn, there's not enough wine glasses for six people, the master bedroom could use a better mattress. Other than those few picky things the house is in a great peaceful location.
