No cleaning fees! We love EVERYTHING about our neighborhood. You are not far from one of the best hiking trails in Boulder (Sanitas), Whole Foods and Pekoe or Belza Coffee Bar are a short walk away. You can walk to Pearl Street Pedestrian Mall (less than a mile away) and the University of Colorado Boulder is less than 2 miles away (Sko Buffs).
GETTING AROUND
There is a bus stop just down the street which will take you everywhere you need to go if you don’t want to drive. You can also rent Boulder B-Cycle bikes (electric too) (just 2 blocks south)
THE NEIGHBORHOOD
A small enclave just north of downtown (the home sits one mile from the famous Pearl Street Pedestrian Mall), the home is located in the Newlands Neighborhood and is characterized by mid-century modern homes, urban farms, and the distinctive wavy roofline of the Ideal Broadway Shops and Community Plaza Shopping Center. You’ll find yourself right at home among locals here by grabbing a bite to eat, a cup of tea, or browsing a handful of gift shops. We're less than two miles to the University of Colorado Boulder (Sko Buffs) and we host every graduation and parent's weekend. Check out our 5-star reviews.
3 Things to Do in Newlands:
1. Grab a delicious pastry from Breadworks Bakery & Cafe or an ice cream cone in flavors like Oatmeal Cookie or OZO Coffee at Sweet Cow Creamery (two blocks south of the house). You'll also find a Whole Foods Market and other shops here. The closest bar is at Santo, a restaurant opened by the first winner of Top Chef.
2. Run and play at North Boulder Park, which sports a fantastic Flatirons view (three blocks west of the house)
3. Stop by Growing Gardens for a free tour (by appointment) or dig-your-own irises at the urban Long’s Gardens (two blocks north of the house)

Why they chose this property
Newlands is a busy neighborhood that enjoys the hustle and bustle of an exciting city with the friendly atmosphere of a small town. Located in north-central Boulder, Newlands has plenty of parks to explore and a natural playground due to the magnificent foothills near which the area is nestled. It’s a highly sought-after place to live and an incredible place to raise a family. Originally a large orchard, the area still has apple trees planted by the Newland family long ago. Whether you’re looking for state-of-the-art recreation or unique shopping and restaurants, Newlands has it all.
Families are willing to splurge on the gorgeous homes in this community due to the neighborhood’s desirable central locale and exceptional views of the mountains. Residents enjoy the kindred spirit of the neighborhood (they have their very own community-based volunteer organization that plans activities) and appreciate the excellent variety of home styles. You’ll find everything from housing that was meticulously constructed in the early 1900s to newer custom homes that are sleek and modern. Newlands has found a stylish and inventive way to mix the traditional with the contemporary in an authentic and charming way.
There’s plenty to do in Newlands — especially when it comes to getting outdoors. The hiking trails at Mount Sanitas are stunning and lined by wildflowers. North Boulder Park is a popular destination comprised of baseball and soccer fields; it’s a wonderful space for kids to get active or for families to host a summer barbecue. North Boulder Recreation Center has amazing pool areas (with a water slide), courts, a gymnastics center, and classes for every age. You can even go Nordic skiing every winter!
Need to shop? You can find fresh, organic foods at the fun and quirky Ideal Market or head to the nearby Pearl Street Mall, an incredible, walkable shopping area that spans several blocks in Downtown Boulder.
