Dog friendly, spacious duplex, close to beautiful Currimundi beach.

This is a 2 bedroom duplex close to the beautiful Currimundi lake and beach. It has its own private entrance, parking and fenced garden. The unit is a 3-minute walk to the estuary and 10 minutes walk along the beautiful lake-side path to Currimundi Lake and the dog-friendly beach, which is patrolled during the holidays and weekends.

The space
The unit has two bright bedrooms which sleep 4. There is one queen bed and two single beds. Linen and towels are included for 4 people.

The large comfortable living room opens out to a shaded, covered patio, with an outside table and Weber Q BBQ, so even in the rain it's possible to eat outside. There is a large grass area for the children and pooch to play and also a ping pong table.

The kitchen is clean and well stocked with everything you’ll need for your stay, however the kitchen is old. So *please* don't book this unit if you want a fancy new kitchen and bathroom. Both are dated and our unit is priced accordingly.

There are fans throughout but *no aircon*. The sliding doors in the sitting room and both bedrooms open to the outside and have security mesh screens so they can be kept open day and night to let the breeze in.

Well-behaved dogs are very welcome to stay - we have the best dog beach! We ask that wet sandy dogs be hosed down and dried before coming inside, there is a hose and we leave some old towels outside the back door. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture or in the bedrooms, extra cleaning fee will be charged for excessive dog hair.

The duplex is very private with its own driveway entrance and private, pretty, well-fenced garden. We live in the adjoining duplex, so are usually available if there are any issues, but give guests their own space and don't bother them at all during their stay.

Currimundi Beach is great for families, with a safe lagoon area perfect for the little ones and a beautiful patrolled surf beach for those keen on bodyboarding and surfing. We think Currimundi is by far the Sunshine Coast’s best dog beach - with over a kilometre of off-leash beach south of the lake for your pet to swim, dig and run wild. North, across the lake mouth, is another 1.5 kilometre stretch of off-leash beach.

There is a beautiful coastal cycle path alongside the lake to the beach which then runs south to Dicky and Moffat Beach all the way to Caloundra and beyond. Currimundi Lake has a couple of cafes that serve great breakfasts and lunches and also has canoe, kitesurfing and paddleboard hire for you to explore further up the lake. Thills Espresso Cafe has live music at weekends and serves wine and beer - the perfect spot to watch the sunset over the lake....and they are dog friendly.
Mooloolaba is just 15 minutes drive and has award-winning restaurants, a beautiful beach and the newly renovated vibrant Wharf. Caloundra is just 8 minutes.
40 minutes further north is the chic seaside town of Noosa.
