WARNING-do not rent from Austin

I booked Austin’s property back in October for the week after Christmas. We attempted to add an additional day to our reservation, and tried for 2 months to get in contact with Austin. A week before our stay he sent an invoice for the additional day he never confirmed. Then he cancelled our entire reservation the day before, without any notice, claiming the house was flooded. Even if his flood story is real, communication was horrid and if you read enough other reviews here about Austin, you should stay away.

Picture perfect. Meet our every need.

We went for a “winter weekend”. ❄️ This property was perfectly located between the beautifully lit up town of Leavenworth, the majestic horse and carriage ride 🐴, quad riding trails and a huge fenced yard to let the kids be kids. ❤️ The house itself was perfect. It slept all of us comfortably. ( ages 3-72) It was well stocked with everything. Appliances were newer and worked perfectly. Being inside the house was like being in a cabin in the woods yet close enough to everything. The tongue and groove is a beautiful natural look. We loved the log hand rail with the natural barn wood accents. It was hard not to keep talking about the window trim as it was a beautiful natural stone fit as well. Firewood And kindling were split and waiting for us. Coffee time in front of the fire was amazing. The kids also came in and sat in front of the fire. Made for a cozy story time environment. There was plenty of board games, DVD’s and video games for all ages. This house was perfect for us and we will return for another visit. Thank you for inviting us into your home. This was one of the funnest times we have had in a long time. THANK YOU.

Austin is BS

This clown Austin Message us 1 hour after We were supposed to arrive at the property is no longer available and that we could not stay. I recently had a spinal cord injury drama center In Seattle for the past 5 months. A real class act this one. If I were you how it get him off of VRBO. I don't think he ever intended renting SR property. I think he is a sham how to scam. I think he takes people's money and Puts it in the bank Uses, it for a while and then gives it back. That's is just my feeling. This man has no class could not even call us text us all He Could do Was messages 1 hour after the fact On his little BS site. My family Was already in route from Hawaii and Portland. What a real POS. I don't care that they gave my money back hit ruin my family stay We had like 14 people in one two bedroom house So yeah this guy sucks.

Excellent winter retreat

Stayed with 2 other families all with children. Amazing house tucked away in the hills but still close enough for trips to downtown Leavenworth. Excellent area to play in the snow, and has a great fireplace to just sit in front of an relax. Owner lives next door and is very reappnsive and helpful when needed.

Fraudulent Listing

We paid in full a 2 day weekend stay at this property so our Family could enjoy Leavenworth, Wa. before Christmas. Unfortunately the property was unavailable and unfit for us to stay. The front porch was littered with trash, sink, toilet hot water heater and more. As we pulled up we snapped a few photos and a women walked out and told us to come back on an hour. We left and called local police to escort us back to property as we were unsure for our safety. We returned and the property gate was closed chained up with a lock and no trespassing signs. We could not find any other rooms available for our family so we drove back home. PLEASE DO NOT RENT! It’s a scam and horrible house. Local community call it the murder house !

Christmas Wonderland

The house, property , and location were beautiful and magical. We were able to visit downtown with no problem and walk to a nearby hill for sledding - so fun! The house had plenty of room for family hangouts, and has a ton of character. We had fresh towels and bedding when we arrived and the kitchen was fully stocked. Unfortunately the house was not available right at check in. The owner (who lives on location - which was not disclosed) was in communication the whole time. The home was advertised as a 4 bedroom, however, upon arriving, we discovered only 3 bedrooms were available. The owner was very friendly and brought us a welcome gift when we requested the fireplace and smoke detectors be fixed. We could tell he loves his home and has put tons of energy into it. We had the feeling it was maybe his first year hosting, as his (or close friends/family's) things were around the house and because of the above mentioned glitches. We have stayed in various VRBOs and this house was not as deep cleaned as we hoped. It seemed more like someone's home rather then a rental. This did add character, depending on your perferences. The house is full of unique decor. All in all, we absolutely had an amazing family gathering and would stay here again. There were only a few dissapointments, which were quickly corrected, but overall our stay was fun and full of great memories!

Well the police having to arrest the property managers friends on the first night sucked.

The cabin was nice. Everything involved was a nightmare. Let in late, no check info, no key until the second day to lock up the place which i was liable for. NO one was able to reach the property owner (myself or your own people) and several other issues I really need to speak to someone about this. Please email me for resolution.
