The Cozy Cabin @ Whiskey Mountain Great Location!

My place is close to Garner State Park (3 Miles), Lost Maples Park, Frio River, Concan, Utopia, Kerrville, & Uvalde. The famous three sisters (best driving roads in the USA) You’ll love my place because of the location, the ambiance, and the outdoors space. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets), Pets are an additional $15 per pet, per night.
Sleeps 2 – This cabin offers a queen size bed, shower, T.V., kitchen, heat & air, picnic table, BBQ grill, and 2 rocking chairs on a covered front porch.
This cabin includes the following:
Fully equipped kitchen with a small refrigerator, Plug in 2 burner stove, countertop oven, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, cookware, dishes and utensils to prepare meals.
BBQ pit and picnic table with grilling utensils.
Covered front porch with patio furniture to sit, chit chat, read or just do absolutely nothing but enjoy the beautiful Texas Hill Country views!
Each bed has a quilt, pillow(s) and a mattress protector.  You must BRING your own Towels, Sheets, & Pillowcases (Queen).
Free Wifi - Country Wifi is for basic texting b/c phone service is not always great. It is not intended for working or downloading music/movies.

  This cabin does NOT include the following:
Trash bags, zip-lock bags, & paper products-*** but we do supply you with ONE of the following to get you started: toilet paper, paper towel roll, trash bag, coffee, & sugar.

Great Getaway

I used this lil cabin as my home base for a couple nights and a few days of touring the Hill Country. Excellent location outside of town with easy access to fuel, restaurants, and the Frio River nearby. Will definitely be returning soon.

Great place just some road noise

We really enjoyed our time at the cabin and it’s next to Garner Park and an easy drive to Lost Maples. Very clean and had everything we needed. The only issue was the road noise but not a deal breaker.

Fabulous

I was very nervous about booking this location but it was in great proximity to the HEB Foundation Camp. Although I did drive past it a couple of times, we found it and now realize how easy it really was to get to. It smelled WONDERFUL when we walked in and is obviously a very well-kept and cared for property. It was cozy and perfect!

A live scorpion was in the bathroom sink. The inside of the cabin was very neat and well supplied as said. The cabins on the outside could use a face lift. Over all very nice.

Nice place to stay between Garner and Leakey

We enjoyed our stay which provided options to wade the Frio and shop in Leakey. We had a Texas State Park Pass to visit Garner State Park, but it was was closed to those that did not reserve in advance. For those that have pets there are fewer choices in places to stay. Whiskey Mountain allows options for those of us that consider our pets like our children.

Needs upgrade and improvements

Pros. ——— Good location. Easy to find. Good WiFi speed. Owner is well responsive. Cons ———- This cabin needs lots of repair inside for example.. appliances are pretty old. AC cover needs to fixed. Bathroom sink faucet needs to be repaired or replaced. Not enough hot water for two to take bath. No shampoo or soap provided and was also not clearly informed to bring it along.

Wonderful, Peaceful, Fun!

We stayed in the Cozy cabin and it was clean, peaceful, and delightful. Yes, we could hear the road (i think the other cabins are less likely to, but this one was closest to the property line), but it wasn't a bother at all. We went in the off season and there were few cars at night. The parks are BEAUTIFUL in late Fall! The cabin was very comfortable, well appointed (we brought some of our own supplies, per the property info, but didn't end up needing them), quality mattress, small but very functional kitchen, great front porch. Romantic and cozy for two. We even arrived to a thoughtful birthday welcome message and small treat. :) Communication was great with the host. She made it so easy to find and access the property, as well as assure we were aware of all the details prior to our stay. For anyone complaining about the "rules", that's just silly! What is asked of the guests is simple consideration and cleanliness. It was not at all a big deal. We are happy to leave things clean and take the trash bag out... this is country living after all and trash attracts critters. I can't believe anyone complained about this..? I felt the rules and expectations were clearly laid out, but not at all imposing nor excessive. We felt at ease the whole time. We really enjoyed it, the easy access, and it's proximity to many great places. I would definitely return, and maybe even bring friends to rent the other cabins! Thank you for a lovely stay.

This cabin stands up to it's name....so "COZY" and charming. Impressive cleanliness and very comfortable. The host was responsive and friendly. Checking in and out was so easy. Conveniently located to the quaint town of Leakey, Texas. We loved our stay and would recommend this little cabin to anyone!!

This cabin fully lives up to its name Cozy. It is small but beautiful. It is conveniently located of the highway and close to GSP. Great for a weekend getaway.

Very clean and cozy. Right next to the highway and less than a 10 minute drive to Garner State Park and even closer to some great places to eat. My wife enjoyed herself which is the most important thing to have happen. Thank you!

Very clean and cozy place to stay. If you want to spend a weekend in Leaky, Uvalde area, this spot is a great option. 5 minutes to Leaky town (grocery and some local restaurants), 15 minutes to GSP. The host is very friendly. She let us early check in and provided all the instructions we need in for the stay. The checkout process is super straightforward as well.

Perfect for a peaceful getaway

The cabin was clean and cute! I really liked how close to Garner State Park it was, allowed for more privacy and a more calm setting for relaxing while still being able to spend the day outside!

Need larger tv in cozy cabin . Need better entry signs ,drove by it both ways ,very easy to miss and this is my third time here .Maybe paint cactus at entry a bright green or orange

Good tome was had! Lomg overdue trip to Garner State Park

Very clean, had all we needed. Only thing as I enjoying cooking (yes, even in during vacations, 2 burner cook top not very user friendly. But we grilled and had plenty of lefyovers for 2 days and bacon and egg breakfast easy enough

My name is Cassie Hurles, I have always lived in Texas (Dallas & Houston Areas) and all my summers were spent at the Frio River area. I met my husband, Darren (Daz) in 2001 while he was working here in the states. He moved here from Scotland in 2001. We then had our son, Connor in February 2004 and our daughter, Isla in May 2008. The first time I took my husband to the Frio River he fell in love and we kept the family tradition going with our kids, making it a must every year. Then we moved to the beautiful Texas Hill Country in April 2015 & bought Whiskey Mountain Inn on July 22, 2016. We are looking forward to this new adventure.

Only 2 miles - There is Happy Hollow tube rentals & shuttle. You take a right out of property & You park there and they shuttle you for tubing.
