This can be a two bedroom, one bathroom garden level ocean view suite OR a three bedroom, two full bathrooms garden level ocean view suite. One bedroom and bathroom is a lockoff from the three bedroom suite. Rates quoted are for the 3bedroom suite.
The third bedroom contains a king bed, a pullout sofa, coffee table and tv.
This suite is located in an area of multi-million dollar homes, and has a stunning ocean, city and Stanley Park view. It is bright, spacious, has large windows, gas fireplace, hardwood floors in a large new contemporary kitchen. Insuite laundry, large screen plasma tv, dvd player, public transit bus right outside the door. Babbling creek and walking trails right outside your own private entrance and garden. Enjoy bar b quing and dining on your private patio as you watch the cruise ships sail to Alaska. If you love nature, privacy and peaceful surroundings, you will love this location. Location and Surrounding Area: This luxury suite is located in the prestigious subdivision of British Properties in one of the richest areas of Vancouver, yet is centrally located to all the major sightseeing attractions. West Vancouver is home to the two villages of Ambleside, Dundarave Village, and Horseshoe Bay with several sandy beaches, trendy shops and popular restaurants. In winter enjoy the proximity to Seymour Ski Hill, Cypress Bowl (home to the 2010 Winter Olympics), and Grouse Mountain, all within a 20 minute drive. Only a 12 minute drive to downtown, and one hour and 15 minutes to the world class resort of Whistler. We really enjoyed our stay up on the hill overlooking Vancouver and West Vancouver. The view was amazing, and the amenities were comfortable and bright, Gail was very accommodating and we’d for sure stay again. A nice choice if you are in the area to ski.
We really loved our stay at Gail's place! The views are stunning and the place is adoreable! Very clean and well-kept. We felt at home and enjoyed the vistas from every window. Highly recommend!

Clean, great views, convenient location
We stayed at this property for a week and it had everything we needed. Gail responded to our emails very quickly and made sure all of our needs were met. Would definitely recommend this rental to others.
Beautiful! We have a Family of 6, we slept great in comfortable beds, spacious for meal time and movies at night. Very close to all the activities in West and North Vancouver and easy to access activities across the bridge -gorgeous view as well, and we felt very safe in this beautiful neighborhood. Thank you it was a lovely experience!

Great views, comfortable
We loved our stay at Gail and Brian's place. The views were unbeatable, amenities many, property clean and comfortable, and location great for exploring the many sites. We were able to hike some local trails that started right out the back door. The hosts were welcoming and responsive to a couple of questions during our time there. Highly recommended!
Everything about this property was great. The location was ideal - close to all major attractions. Great views of the city, easy access to Stanley Park, right on road to Whistler. Owners were super accommodating - offered use of their garage for mountain bikes, and even parked their car on street so we could park our second vehicle in their driveway. Communicating with them was very easy. We would stay here again!
From the beginning of the process, booking to checkout, our host, Gail, was interactive and made helpful suggestions for shopping and sightseeing. Gail's home is well-kept and has everything needed for cooking and sharing meals. The unit was quite comfortable for our party of six. Linens, towels, and blankets were plentiful. The view is gorgeous throughout the day; especially morning and night. Getting into Vancouver proper was close and easy. We will come back. And we will recommend Gail's home to our friends visiting Vancouver.
I found the property to be just as it was listed. It worked very well for my 91 year old Mom. Sitting outside was very relaxing and the view is fantastic! I have found my home away from home.

Our hosts are lovely people but as this is a basement unit you can hear them walking around upstairs and their muffled conversations. For the amount of the rental I expected 5 star cleanliness.

I’m sorry that you did not find the cleanliness up to your standards. I used new cleaners in this case, but will not be using them again. We have not had an issue before as one can see from other reviews.

Could have been better
Great location however the house could have been cleaner, spider webs everywhere and the quality of mattresses and beds are low compared to the area of the house. A lot of instructions given which does not give you full privacy (since they live above you). Communication could have been more professional. Not bad overall

This review was very surprising to me. Regarding the cleanliness of the house, it is professionally cleaned by cleaners, and inspected personally by myself before guests arrive. Perhaps there were a couple of cobwebs, being summer, however there were definitely not spider webs everywhere!
Regarding the quality of the mattresses, I had warned the guest that the sofabed may not be very comfortable, even before they booked. ( I plan to upgrade the sofabed). With respect to the other mattresses , I have not had complaints. Softness or firmness of a mattress is a very personal choice
Regarding a lot of instructions given, I can only assume this guest is referring to recycling instructions. Vancouver is a very “green” city , and we inform all our guests about recycling rules so that they understand how to do it. The only time that our paths may cross with the guests would be when we are both putting garbage and recycling into the garage at the same time. Other than that guests have complete privacy, in the way of a private entrance, a whole floor to themselves, and the entire backyard to themselves. On one occasion when I had to water the flowers in their backyard, I asked them when it would be convenient for them for me to do that. I only went into the backyard when they told me they would be away.
Regarding professionalism of communication, I cannot imagine what they are referring to. The only thing I can think of is that I welcome all my guests in a friendly and cordial manner, as they are our guests, and I want them to feel welcome and at home. I choose not to be cold or impersonal. I took the time to give them suggestions about the city, and answered all their questions.
Based on my other positive reviews, and my longstanding Superhost status, I feel that this review is not accurate. I strive to create a welcoming and comfortable experience for all my guests
West Vancouver is home to fantastic neighborhoods, multi-million dollar homes and all of the associated amenities. Lower level three bedroom suite with the owner's staying above. Check-in was super easy with Mr. Christianson showing us everything as well as recommending attractions, things to do, grocery stores and more. The Christianson's were there the entire time and available to us for all of our needs. The entire process was easy and we appreciated the fireplace for cool nights. Definitely recommended and a great location for those going to Whistler. Downtown Vancouver is an easy 15-20 minute drive.
This stay was awesome. We stayed in a very beautiful home with excellent service from our Hosts Gail & Brian. The location is perfect for everything that is Vancouver. Easy access to Whistler, Shannon Falls, North Vancouver and everything that comes with it. Downtown is a very short commute. The home was perfect 3 bedrooms, beautiful Kitchen and awesome views from the patio. Thank you for an unbeleiveable stay. Tony

Million dollar view
My family and I had a fantastic weekend stay at Gail's place. The home is warm and cozy, beautifully appointed and space for all. The backyard space was great with amazing views and lush vegetation. The home was easy to find and access and only a short drive to nearby shopping and attractions.
I would highly recommend Gail's place and hope to stay there again on our next visit!

Beautiful neighborhood and view
Our stay in West Vancouver was great from the beginning. Gail was a perfect host and had everything in the house that we could possibly need. The location was in a beautiful part of Vancouver on the west side up on the mountain, it was great access to the city as well as tourist spots such as Capilano suspension bridge, Grouse Mountain, Whistler and the ferries to Vancouver Island. It would be best to have a Rent-A-Car if you are staying here, it is not within walking distance to tourist attractions. The kitchen was well-equipped and the Wi-Fi worked very well, the bedrooms were roomy and the beds were extremely comfortable.

Excellent central location, upscale neighborhood in the safest part of Vancouver.
Great location! Local bus stops right in front of the house. Taxis are easy to get too. Nice city and ocean view and a nice outdoor patio with a BBQ. Some really great hiking trails that go right behind the house and a lot more trails near by. Free blackberries in August on the trail behind the house. Very comfortable beds, Lots of room. Really nice hardwood floors and a super well equiped kitchen with new counters and appliances. Good Internet service. Everything was very clean and neat and there even a washer and dryer. Wasn't missing a thing. The owners were very friendly and easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend this rental. Thanks for a great stay!
