Secluded Oceanview Chalet with Floor-to-Ceiling Windows - Your Serene Escape.

Ideal for a weekend getaway, business accommodation, a romantic retreat or a couples surf trip.

Nestled in the hillside, back from the beach you'll have panoramic views stretching across both ocean, citrus grove and established gardens....you'll feel like you've escaped to paradise.

Nearby are the beaches of Wainui, Okitu and Makorori which are home to some of the best surf spots to be found in New Zealand.
If surfing is not your thing, walking, swimming, stand up paddle boarding and kite surfing are also a part of the lifestyle in this friendly relaxed community.
With views of the beach from the accomodation you may even choose to stay in and just chill out.

The ocean view studio is set on a lifestyle block of just over 3 acres, close enough to the beach but far enough away to completely relax and refresh your senses.

Each night you can drift to sleep as you stargaze at the stars twinkling through the high-arched windows. In the morning awake to the epic East Coast sunshine filtering through for your new day.

All of your linen is provided, including beach towels, along with complimentary tea, coffee, nespresso pods, and milk. A continental breakfast can be arranged for during your stay, please enquire about this before your arrival.

When you book for 7 nights or more we will provide a complimentary discount on your stay. Plus your room will also be serviced each week.

We look forward to welcoming you to our spot of paradise.

Please take into consideration that there are stairs that lead down to the room and carparking is available, but it is not directly beside the accomodation.
The bathroom is seperate to the studio, just a few steps across the fairy light lit covered courtyard.

Amazing spot

Alex and I had a lovely time staying here over our wedding. It was the perfect little hideaway and so peaceful waking up to that gorgeous view every day. Kylla and Rob were great hosts and provided a delicious hamper of goodies for our stay. We couldn't recommend this place highly enough and would live here if we could :)

Perfection

An awesome property, exactly as listed. We wanted a private, relaxing place with a view and that is exactly what we got. The bed is super comfortable. The bathroom & kitchen facilities perfect, There is absolutely everything you could possibly need. The grounds are lovely, easy communication with the hosts and as a bonus, their dog is super cute! I would highly recommend staying here.

Perfect spot to spend your stay in Gisborne. Kylia was super helpful without intruding on privacy. The room is really spacious and everything you need including a heat pump that kept the space really warm. We were there in a really cold few days in June so the only downside was the bathroom is in a separate area that is not heated. So bring some slippers if you coming in winter. It wouldn't have put us off staying here.

Awesome place

Beautiful place, great hosts, very nice ocean views. Couldn’t be more pleased. Big bedroom, table 2 chairs, sofa, very private, separate bathroom shower washer. Supplied coffee tea cream cereal bread fruit etc was a surprising and very welcome addition. We rented bikes in town and residence is a bit of a hike up hill but location was well worth it. Overall nicest place we stayed in our month long trip to NZ. Kudos to the owners for a great job!

Okitu cottage

This is a beautiful one-room cottage set in citrus and olive groves on a beautiful estate overlooking the surf on Okitu Beach, immaculately clean and fully appointed with all amenities. Kylla was there to welcome me and gave me excellent dining recommendations. I only wish I had had more than one night to spend there, but I will definitely be back!

Wonderful privacy, views and restful

Civilisation is both close enough and far enough away. An elevated view of the ocean, some trees and a beautiful sound of the wind and water. Warm from the sun and heating if required (I stayed in July). I went to relax, and 100% achieved my goal. Nice location for a walk on the beach (short car ride to avoid the hill on way home), and a pleasurable bike ride into “town” on Saturday all via cycle paths. Im planning my next visit.

Easter Gateaway

We really enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect place for a gateway from all the hustle. Perfect place to witness the sunrise and very close to Wainui beach. Hosts were very welcoming and were even nice to gift us a bottle of wine. Definitely recommend staying here. Cheers Sid

Absolutely stunning Views

The suite has everything you need. It was lovely of Kylla & Rob to supply fresh eggs, milk and cold drinks in the fridge. We could never get tired of the stunning view from the large picture windows.
