About this property

Cavendish Beach Cottage - close to beaches, attractions and restaurants

Cavendish Beach Cottage is not only minutes from the heart of Cavendish, but is also a short walk from a beautiful stretch of white sandy beach - excellent for swimming, walking, sand castles and lounging by the ocean. The house is situated in a secluded treed area with loads of safe green space for children. Quite a private setting given that you're in the very popular Cavendish Resort. The expansive front deck adds a great outdoor living space with Adirondack chairs, BBQ and an ocean backdrop.

This PEI vacation rental is an open-concept cottage with a main kitchen-dining-living space. The dining area provides access to the front deck with its great ocean views (all of the main living areas have ocean views). The kitchen is U-shaped for convenient access to everything and is completely equipped. The dining table will seat 6 or if you're in more of a picnic mood, we also offer outside dining.

The spacious living room has ample comfortable furnishings and a cozy fire place to gather around on cooler nights during our off-season. A large flat screen TV completes this area, (but is not pictured). The smaller TV in the photo has been moved to the bunk room to create a private "kiddie" space.

The cottage has 3 bedrooms (sleeps 7). The master has a queen bed, the second bedroom has a queen bed and the children's bedroom has a single over double bunkbed and an additional single bed. The lower single bed is a trundle and when pulled out makes a great "couch" for watching movies or playing games. There are 2 bathrooms (the first has a full tub/shower and the second has a large corner shower).

The home provides a fully equipped kitchen, full size washer and dryer, satellite TV, wifi, linens, towels, beach towels, beach chairs, beach toys, a new bonfire pit and a BBQ.

Cavendish Beach Cottage is a perfect choice if you are looking for a quiet beach vacation - while still being close to it all. The property is conveniently located near world-class golf, Anne of Green Gables, amusement/water parks, fine or family dining, fresh seafood, live entertainment, shopping, groceries, etc. The Charlottetown Airport is 30 minutes away.

We had a lovely stay! The cottage was charming and well equipped. We loved the easy access to the seaside and morning walks along the coast. The host had great restaurant recommendations. Wonderful home base for a dream trip.

Fantastic location with lots of amenities

Beautiful property stocked with everything you would ever want or need. Great location being just a few minutes walk to the beach! My only issue was that some restaurants and tourist attractions were not open late May. A plus to that is we beat the crowds. I’ll be back again to visit.

Great location for Cavendish sights. Lovely property and a short walk from the beach. Very clean and check-in was smooth. The photos show a coffee pot but there's only a Keurig machine which made for some confusion so I'd maybe update the photo. Kettle is also the buttonless type where you plug it in and yank the plug when you are done (like a clothing iron) and that thing was a bit sketchy and seems like a fire hazard in a rental where people can come and go willy-nilly, so I'd recommend getting a more modern kettle. Overall a 5-star destination but the coffee situation led to mild confusion and a 10 min trip to Rustico for k-cups. But we'd definitely stay here again.

PEI Visit

The cottage was AMAZING! It had everything we needed or even thought about needing. An incredible location with view of ocean and just a short walk down a path to the beach. We loved our stay. This property comes highly recommended! Melanie was very helpful and responsive to questions we had. The people of PEI are so friendly and kind. Wonderful vacation!

Walk PEI

Excellent beach location for a less-than-remarkable walk on the trail. Melanie was quick to respond to my questions by email. Written instructions were not up to date causing some confusion with garbage, park pass, and leaving instructions. We were not able to get the TV to work but did not reach out to solve this problem. My friends ask to remind the cleaners to put the trundle bed pillow top up!

Great location!

We are a group of very active retirees and this rental was perfect for our needs. We could walk the pathway to the beach and start bike rides from there as well. We did travel about the island, for other rides and hikes, but we really enjoyed where The Cavendish house was located. An upgrade that could make it easier for renters is to upgrade the locks so you don’t have to fight with the key every time you come and go. My guess is that the humidity is the culprit there. Also, there is only a Kurtis coffee maker and no pods were left at all. We luckily brought our own ground coffee and used my single pour over flask. My advice is go back to a regular coffee maker as the pods are an environmental disaster. Let folks know they are on their own with any kitchen extras.

We will certainly address the sticky door locks. There is both a Keurig and regular drip coffee maker at the cottage. The regular coffee maker is in the peninsula cupboard on the dining side, however we'll have to make sure that it is more obvious that both coffee makers are provided. Just what we needed.

Our trip on the island was intended for a job interview for my son. The property was just as described in the listing. We had a wonderful experience and would love to return with the rest of the family this summer. Only disappointment was an old Keurig coffee pod in the coffee maker from last guests, but no initial supply of coffee selections upon our arrival. Overall, we definitely recommend this property. It was fun to watch the rabbits roam in the grass and watch the blue jays build a nest in the tree. The beach is a short walk, and the people were friendly. Thank you Melanie.

4 golfeurs adultes ! Tout près de magnifiques terrains de golf, maison super bien équipée, littéralement à quelques minutes de la magnifique plage de Cavendish, beau sable pour se baigner magnifiques falaises rouges et on peut y marcher longtemps . La vue de la maison sur l’eau est extraordinaire comme sur les photos. Les photos représentent exactement le lieu ! Merci
