About this property

Located just off State Highway 3 on your way into New Plymouth is TSB Topec Outdoor Pursuits Centre. Tucked away in stunning grounds with established native trees is The Eco Lodge. The perfect accommodation for outdoors tourists and sporting groups to base themselves while visiting New Plymouth. Topec sits next to the Waiwhakaiho River with swimming holes and bush reserve walking tracks all accessible from the camp.

This fabulous lodge features five bedrooms sleeping up to eleven guests. The ground level of the lodge includes one bedroom with a double bunk with single bunk above. A large camp lounge for your group to come together and relax after a big day exploring. A kitchenette with microwave and cook top plate and two wheelchair access bathrooms, both with showers. The upstairs loft style accommodation has four bunk rooms connected by a suspended bridge.

A definite step up from camp site cabins and tents this great property offers a comfortable base with plenty of space for everyone. You can enjoy the ambience of the entire property and you will feel rested and relaxed. Take a stroll to the Meetings of the Waters where you can enjoy a BBQ and a swim or make the most of the picturesque groups. Only a five-minute drive from the entry to New Plymouth and a short ten-minute drive to the CBD. Make the most of exploring this unique property.

Please Note: Pack your sleeping bags and blankets. Mattress protectors and pillows are supplied only. There is no WI-FI at this property.

Please note the cleaning fee: Includes all hotel towels, a part cleaning service ( we ask guests to take pillowcases off beds and leave with towels etc in bathroom, clear away dishes and leave property tidy. We will do the rest of the cleaning)and basic supplies. There is no wifi at the property.

All Bach Break properties come well equipped with cooking oil, salt, pepper, coffee, tea, milk, cleaning products, , dishwashing liquid, toilet paper, liquid hand soap and body wash.

The property is very well equipped with most things you will need on holiday. If you use a hair dryer we ask that you bring one with you as hair dryers aren't supplied.

Unusual but cool

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Large living areas great for big family groups.Having the outdoor facilities (basketball hoop, rope climbing, acres of grass) available was a bonus.Opportunity for improvement is to add some soft furnishings, for soundproofing, so that noise doesn't carry so much inside.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It is a nice place, good location. We went to New Plymouth for holiday with 3 families together, so, this place just match our needs. There is one thing which can be improved. First, there is no wifi. I know this property is not promote with wifi, but my mobile company 2degree has no reception in this location as well. Then it came out a problem for me, but it is ok for my friend who using vodafone. I am not complaint about it, just think this is something can be improved. All the other things were good.

Topec get away

Great spot just out of New Plymouth, lots of space with all the facilities you need, we did take our own BBQ for outdoor cooking, we made use of an old pizza oven outside which worked a treat for our crowd cooking up there own creations, close to a great swimming hole at the nearby river.
