Enjoy the spectacular view of the Mediterranean Sea from this magnificent property. Nestled in a unique residence, on the promontory of Punta de la Mona, in the village of La Herradura. It enjoys an incredible view of the sea, enjoyable from both inside and outside. This house has a spacious living room with a large furnished terrace where you can enjoy your meals or relax. On the ground floor there are 2 bedrooms with sea view, each with its own balcony and bathroom. The house is ideal for families and couples, with a sofa bed in the living room that sleeps 5 in total. This property is one of the few houses in the residence, overlooking the residence's swimming pool, a quiet location with lush tropical gardens.

This exclusive development is perched on the more famous promontory of Punta de la Mona. To the west of the Punta is the village of La Herradura (see above) and to the east is the "Marina del Este". These last two places offer beaches, restaurants and bars. There are 3 golf courses within half an hour's drive and it is possible to ski in Sierra Nevada (1h30 drive) from December to April. A snorkeling school is located in the village.

Location: La Herradura (translated as 'The Horseshoe') perfectly describes the bay between the headland of Cerro Gordo and Punta de la Mona. The village of La Herradura has kept its Spanish character and unlike other high-rise buildings in the south of Spain, it has not been spoiled by tourism. You will find a selection of good traditional Spanish restaurants and bars, but those looking for nightlife will be disappointed! The village does however have a few supermarkets, banks, a newsagent, a medical centre, a pharmacy, a hairdresser and a market offering fresh produce every morning.

The Tropical Coast, where the property is located, offers more than 320 days of sunshine and an average annual temperature of 17° C. African winds, warm Mediterranean waters and the Sierra Nevada mountains create a subtropical microclimate unique in Europe. In addition, the fascinating marine life makes the place a privileged point for scuba diving in Spain.

We recommend a car: A car would be necessary to do your shopping in the village about 1 km away and to explore the area in general.

We had a lovely week here. The apartment was immaculate when we arrived and thoroughly cleaned throughout. It was well equipped and Cristina provided a highchair on request which was very much appreciated. We didn't use the pool but could see it was well kept. The area itself is quiet and very pretty, with a beautiful view from the balcony. We would highly recommended this apartment.

The property was simply and nicely furnished with quality and well appointed kitchen and offering comfort. The terrace presented a fabulous view of the ocean and the neighbourhood. The community still maintained a Spanish feel. Access to the pool was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Fabulous duplex apartment with a view of paradise. Very comfortable with great outdoor space. Constant hot water. Good AC in living area and both bedrooms Exceptionally clean and well stocked for dining and cooking. Our home from home. Lively enclosed shared pool area but rarely used by others during our stay. Great communication with owner and agent. Thank you once again Cristina for letting us rent your wonderful holiday home. Looking forward to coming back.

Beautiful property overlooking the sea - well equipped and modern inside with tasteful decor. Wonderful communal pool which was deserted most of the time. Set in lovely landscaped gardens. Have given 4 stars only because it is quite a walk into La Herradura down steep hills - about 20 mins - 30 mins. Because it was so hot and humid (34 degrees and 80% humidity) we didn't attempt it and drove - would have been nice to be able to walk into town to get food but then you would sacrifice the location and views. Great communication with owner also.

Fantastic apartment in a stunning location

Wow! I’ve been traveling across the coasts of Portugal and Spain for the past two months, but I didn’t want to leave this place in the Costa Tropical. The apartment feels like a real home, not a cookie-cutter rental. It’s modern and clean and you can tell that Cristina took care in furnishing it with nice fixtures, artwork and personal touches. The duplex is in a beautiful residential area where the units cascade down the hillside. The landscaping is incredible - you feel like you’re living in a garden. The view to the sea, rooftops below and towns down the coastline is gorgeous. You do have to access steep steps to go to and from the apartment and a car is a necessity (you’re within an hour’s drive to great locations like Granada, Malaga, Sierra Nevada mountains, etc.). The village of La Herradura is quaint and relatively quiet compared to the tourist towns in the Costa del Sol. And people here are much nicer! This is my new favorite vacation spot and I will definitely be staying at Cristina’s lovely casa again.

Une magnifique urbanisation située sur les hauteurs et un logement de grande qualité bénéficiant d’une vue exceptionnelle !Nous y avons séjourné 10 jours en famille (2 adultes et 2 enfants) et l’appartement était parfaitement adapté. Toutes les pièces sont climatisées, la cuisine est très bien équipée tout comme le salon. Les plages les plus proches nécessitent une marche assez longue ou bien de prendre la voiture mais la piscine commune est juste en dessous du logement. Pour finir, la Herradura est une petite localité calme et très agréable.En résumé, une location que nous ne pouvons que recommander !

El apartamento edta muy buen equipado, con terraza y unas vistas espectaculares. Tiene 2 plantas . En la de la entrada está la cocina/salon y la terraza. Muy amplio y muy birn equipado. En la planta baja estan las dos habitaciones y los dos baños. Ambas habitacioned con vistas al mar. Todas las edificaciones alrededor son muy bonitas Hay que tener en cuenta que para ir a la.playa o a cualquier sitio se debe de llevar siempre el coche. Lo recomiendo 100% si no ed impedimento coger el coche

El apartamento es fantástico

El apartamento está muy bien equipado. La cocina tiene literalmente de todo. Se ve muy nuevo y las vistas son magníficas. Cómo punto negativo tengo que decir que la cama principal es algo incómoda. El colchón se hunde bastante y hace ruido al moverte. Las almohadas tampoco son demasiado buenas. De todo lo demás no puedo decir nada malo. Volvería seguro

Off the beaten track in a very quiet neighbourhood, if your idea of a perfect holiday setting is a seaview with a tranquil backdrop then this is the place for you.
