About this property

Cobden & Wills + Studio

It retains much of its charm, balanced with modern, comfortable furniture. Think Victorian verandas, front and back, pressed metal ceiling and original timber flooring, paired with leather lounge suite, a luxurious chaise longue, and a flexible dining layout in the open plan kitchen.

The house features a sparkling new bathroom with European laundry, twin vanity and heated towel rail. The fully equipped kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, large fridge freezer, filtered water on tap and microwave, is ready for you to whip up a quick meal or cook up a gourmet storm; with all the produce that our region has to offer the options are endless. Located at the rear of the property, the kitchen is perfectly positioned for you to use the al fresco dining areas.

The spacious living room easily seats eight, with all the creature comforts you will want: wood heater, wall mounted smart TV, air conditioning and stunning views of Bright and the hills beyond.

Outside the property is fully fenced and mostly lawn, with plenty of space for children and dogs to play and explore. There are quiet shady nooks to sit and relax, a huge barbecue, redgum table with seating for 10 and off-street parking for three to four cars.

The decking directly off the kitchen features your own private bar seating, where you can have a coffee in the morning, see the sun go down over the town centre in the evening, and watch the world go by.

There is the perfect home for your bikes: Cobden & Wheels is lockable with ample space for up to 10 bikes. It has a work bench, bike repair kit and pump and a dehumidifier to help dry out bike and ski gear in the colder months.

The bedrooms all feature fans and heaters to ensure your comfort in any weather. They can be configured to suit the needs of any group.

Light and airy, the master bedroom overlooks the back garden and features a luxurious split king bed and a large ensuite bathroom.

To the front of the house, bedrooms two and three feature flexible sleeping arrangements with split king beds, with a wall mounted smart TV in bedroom two, and in bedroom three: a desk ideal for remote working, and large built-in wardrobe.

* Please note firewood for heating is supplied from the 1st of May until the 30th of September.
You will be supplied with an allocation of 1 night's firewood, if extra wood is required you will need to purchase it yourself.
The property does have ample heating inside besides the wood heater *.

Cleaning Policy

For any cleaning issues, we ask that you report any concern with 24hrs of arrival to the office.
Our office hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
For weekends, please report any issues to our afterhours mobilewith 24hrs of arrival.
We will require photo evidence to support any claim.

Position, position, position
We are a group of 5 friends that have just had a weekend at this gorgeous house. It was perfect for us as we all got to have a room to ourselves. It has adequate bathrooms for all and whilst not a huge home, that was one of the things we loved about it. The heating was perfect and the beds were all very comfortable. The proximity to town and the fabulous eateries in Bright was amazing, we didn’t have to drive anywhere, and there are some great walking tracks nearby. We would highly recommend this house and will most definitely stay again.

Great location
Great location, met all needs. We had a group of 10 and a dog. The kitchen /dining layout was completely impractical for the group size, but we worked around it (literally, a large dining table in the kitchen). Place was warm, but no extra blankets for night. Kitchen appliances and crockery were all good. A few practical and layout annoyances (toilet seat in main bathroom didn't fit on toilet, studio shower leaves water on the floor, for example). Victoria's covid restrictions have really put a downer on Bright's feel. Limited takeaway food and hard to get a table at the small number of places open at night. Overall, a nice family stay but not great value for money.
