We stayed a week in September. The property was clean, well appointed, private, and quiet. There is a great view of Mt Lincoln. The hot tub was enjoyable on cool evenings. Good fishing and hiking nearby. My favorite hike was Bison Peak. Would definitely choose this property again.
Fun décor. Great views from front and back deck. Not much traffic on adjacent road during the week. Hot tub worked great.
Spotted a yearling moose about 1/2 mile from cabin.

Can't wait to come back!
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin! It was quaint and quiet and had all the amenities we needed. Communication with the host was seamless and prompt. We were having issues warming up the hot tub and contacted the manager who sent instructions on how to it up right away. We were also allowed a late check out which was wonderful. We will definitely be coming back!
Super cute cabin only thing was the hot tub would not heat up :( we followed all the instructions and when I reached out to the property manager they responded the next day saying there was nothing else to do. the main reason we picked the cabin was the hot tub but it was still a nice stay
This property was absolutely everything and more. Being able to bring my dogs with us was a complete game changer, and I cannot express enough how thankful I am for that. The hot tub was so big and relaxing with an amazing view. The home was cozy and decorated so creatively, and the best part was TONS of games to play. The options were perfect for a group to select from. We will absolutely be coming back and booking here when the weather is nice to enjoy all the awesome suggestions they had in the welcome handbook.

Fairplay cabin
Overall our stay was good. There were several things to like about the cabin and it's location. First the views were awesome of the mountains and some wildlife. Also, on the outskirts of town was a plus with it being quiet and secluded. The area is good for accessing many things to do with family. In past reviews the cameras were brought up and I can say it doesn't give you the best feeling about privacy while sitting in a hot tub with a camera looking right at you. Cleanliness is definitely something that can be improved on. You can tell that nothing gets deep cleaned and when moving furniture there is remnants from previous guest behind it. Overall these few negatives can be easily fixed and it would be a great place to stay.
I absolutely loved the cabin. It was set up great and decorated in a cozy mountain way. So adorable. The only complaint I have is the upkeep. The place wasn’t vacuumed when we arrived. We unloaded the dishes from the last rental and the batteries in the remotes were dead. There are small repairs that should of been taken care of considering the price of the cabin. Maybe a deep cleaning to take care of the cobwebs and windows. All of that aside we loved it! Thank you so much for the rental!!
Fantastic Location and Incredible Stargazing from the Hot Tub!
I stayed here with my adult sons and their significant others. We loved the coziness of the home and the woodstove. The remote location was quiet and allowed us to really hit the reset button. The view of the stars from the hot tub was absolutely incredible! Just a couple negatives: I questioned the cleanliness of the home as we had to rewash almost all the dishes before we used them, and I found a used flosser pick on the nightstand from a previous guest. (Gross!) The lower left bedroom was super uncomfortably cold. Also, my oldest son went around and changed a bunch of burnt out lightbulbs; and there appears to be an electrical issue in some of the switches - some gave off shocks. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and we had a hard time heading back to reality.
The views are awesome. The master bed was comfortable. There are several maintenance issues we reported upon arrival to management so we would not be held liable and commented the nightly price did not reflect this and were hoping for an adjustment (only comment from company is that they are trying to find a contractor to fix issues). We also inquired with Evolve before booking on what the elevation is. We recorded 10,130 so is hard for older people to adjust. The hot tub and TV did not have instructions on how to operate and we had to google. There were two outside cameras on the back deck where the hot tub was that were not disclosed in the overview.

Nice place, needs improvements and cleaning
I specifically asked about the hot tub. When we arrived hot tub was not completely filled. Just enough to use when two people are in it. House is not cleaned well. Dust on cabinets, someone's dog bone under the wood stove. What was most upsetting was the hot tub not being full, and the cameras everywhere! The VRBO listing specifically says it has two cameras. We counted at least 4 cameras. Two of which point directly at the hot tub. The cabin is nice with great views, but needs maintenance and better house keepers. The cleaning fee is high but the house is NOT clean.

Hi Michael, we truly appreciate you sharing your thoughts about your recent stay. Your feedback is essential to us, and we've relayed your comments to the homeowner, who would like to address the following:-We are grateful for your favorable comments regarding the scenic views from the cabin.-Recognizing that dust is a common challenge in Colorado, intensified by cold temperatures and wind, we have provisions in place to manage hot tub water levels. A hose in the upstairs closet, along with a spigot under the upstairs sink, serves this purpose. We regret that this information was not shared during your stay, and we encourage guests to reach out so that we can offer assistance.-We extend our sincere apologies for any cleaning-related concerns you encountered. Please be assured that we are actively addressing this matter to enhance the overall guest experience.-The inclusion of a camera was implemented with the purpose of ensuring that guests consistently replace the hot tub cover. This measure was introduced in response to past instances where guests failed to replace the cover, resulting in damage to our hot tub. We have decided not to proceed with the replacement of the hot tub cover. We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests as evidenced in all other reviews.
We enjoyed our break. It is beautifully located right outside the city. This house was definitely roomy enough. We saw plenty of wildlife including moose and whitetail deer. This is an older house that does need some upgrades. Plenty of pots and pans that are a little bit older. There is a wonderful hot tub in the back that is not really pictured in the system. We really enjoyed our time.
Perfect place for comfort and relaxation. Fully stocked kitchen and comfortable sleeping areas. Great to be together or find your own space. Lovely view of the peak from the hot tub.
This cabin is called higher ground, and it is, at about 10,200 feet, tucked in an aspen grove with terrific views on all sides. It was very well appointed both inside and out, and would be great for a family with two bedrooms downstairs along with games like darts and foosball. Hot tub and grill completed the outdoor space.
