This was a small cabin, spotlessly clean, on a quiet, pretty lake. There were kayaks and a paddleboat available for us to use, which was fun. Hosts were super welcoming and accommodating. We were there at a peak time so the cost per night was on the high side for the amount of space.
This property was very clean. The lake was amazing! The owners are the best. Had a great time!

Interlochen Cabin
We used the cabin as a base as we visited the Traverse City area. Linda and Gerry were exceptional hosts! Wish we had more time to enjoy the lake, but did have coffee in the morning overlooking the lake and a bonfire in the evening. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Linda and Jerry were very friendly and always made sure we had everything that we needed. Cabin one is my favorite but cabin two has an awesome deck. The cabins are cozy, clean and had everything that we needed. The lake is beautiful, crystal clear and great for kayaking. The birds are amazing. It was the first time we were able to experience the behavior and sound of a loon. The sunsets were beautiful. This is a great place to enjoy lake life. Linda and Jerry are wonderful hosts.

Quaint Cottage
Great little cottage on a nice lake. The owners are very nice. I didn't have time to use a kayak but will next time.
Our 2 bedroom cabin was perfect for our stay. It was very clean and well maintained, beds were comfortable and it was quiet. We enjoyed how quiet and relaxing it was on the lake.
The cabin was absolutely lovely, clean, and perfectly situated on Bass Lake. My husband enjoyed fishing and our toddler enjoyed playing on the play set and going in the boats (especially the paddle boat! There are lovely trails within short driving distance and plenty to explore in the area. It is beautiful here. I highly recommend!
The hosts were wonderful and the property was beautiful. They were waiting for us to check in when we got there and were very helpful for finding anything. The kids were able to borrow life vests and pool noodles to use in the lake and played on the slide and swings. The water was beautiful in the evenings.
The cabin itself had a fully stocked kitchen and two bedrooms and one bathroom as listed. The bedrooms were small (they fit a bed and dresser each) but clean. We had to move furniture to fit our pack and play with the bed in one room but it did work. The cabin is attached to the owners' house which we weren't aware of and there are several other cabins on the property fairly close together. It was a little busier of a property than I originally thought it would be because of that. The evolve listing said there were multiple residences on the property, I was just imagining farther apart! It was an enjoyable stay and well appointed cabin but not lonely for sure!

Amazing!
Linda and Jerry were so friendly and helpful in making us feel at home away from home. The lake was beautiful, quiet, and made for a great view. Lots to do on Bass Lake and great fishing! Can’t wait to go back. Thank you!
My husband, son and I had the truly lovely opportunity to stay at Jerry and Linda's cottage right on Bass Lake just minutes away from the internationally renowned Interlochen Arts Center.
A typical morning began with coffee outside munching on Linda's delicious peanut butter cookies while listening to the loons followed by a gentle kayak paddle across the lake to quietly observe the turtles, loons, green and great blue herons who hang out near the blooming lily-pads (the cottage came with so many fun water toys available for our use!).
As the cottage is conveniently located, day excursions to lighthouses and beaches on Lake Michigan were easy to plan, followed by a wine tasting or two.
The late afternoons and evenings found us back at the cottage on the lake watching Jerry's birds frequent the feeders. We enjoyed the woodpeckers, hummingbirds and gold finches just to name a few feathered friends, and Linda's beautiful gardens always kept us captivated with the different flowering plant species.
The cottage itself was a delightful environment and the ceiling and window fans kept the cottage a nice temperature through the night even with the warm, summer days.
But best of all was meeting Linda and Jerry who made our vacation so very special. We plan to return, and when we do it will feel like returning to visit family.
Just writing this post makes us yearn to go back. Perhaps to see the fall foliage!
Thank you, Jerry and Linda!
So relaxing and the perfect little get away! Linda and Jerry have thought of everything and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. The access to kayaks and the paddle boat, not to mention a storage shed full of chairs, floats, and anything else you might need at the lake, provides all the entertainment you could need! Not to mention the sunset views are amazing! Would definitely return and recommend to others looking for a quiet get away!
My fiance and I had a great time at Jerry's cabin. Perfect for whatever it is you're looking for in a lakefront getaway - swimming, boating, fishing or hanging out around the campfire.
Jerry met us as soon as we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed and was extremely responsive to the few times we had questions.
The sunsets on the lake are beautiful and the long private road that brought us to the property made for very relaxing solitude and quiet.
The cabin is an easy half hour away from Traverse City and all its attractions which was perfect for day time fun and evening unwinding by the lake.
Wouldn't change a thing, and highly recommend!
