NEIGHBORHOOD & TRANSPORTATION
The residential area has all new buildings and is situated on a hilltop right on the SF Bay. Neighborhood is outside of the bustle of the city but has easy access to it. It's quiet, tucked away, residential-feeling, spacious, friendly, and has plenty of open space and access to parks. Plus, it has the sunniest weather in the city!
•Parks: New park with community space at top of street with panoramic views of Candlestick Point and the bay; small adjacent park with kids' playground; 15 minute walk to Heron's Head and India Basin Park; short walk to a nature trail to walk right on the bay shore; and easy bike ride to Candlestick Point State Recreation Area.
•Transportation:
-Free, private neighborhood shuttle running north to SoMa with multiple stops along the way. Shuttle leaves Shipyard M-F every half hour from 6:30AM to 9AM. Shuttle leaves SoMA M-F every half hour or 45 minutes from 4:30PM to 7:30PM. There is weekend shuttle service as well. Can put bike on back of shuttle.
-Directly across the street from the 19 bus line (connects to the Muni T/K line). You can use public transit to easily access the nearby neighborhoods of Dogpatch, Mission Bay, Bayview, or Potrero Hill.
-To downtown: SF 20-min. drive, 30-min. bike, or 50-min. public transport (almost around the clock).
•Amenities/Proximities: Walking distance to Archimedes Banya Russian Bathhouse, the new Café Alma coffeehouse, a neighborhood Storehouse with basic groceries (including ice cream); 10 minute drive to Chase Center and 20 minutes to SFO.
•Plenty of street parking, no meters.
THE SPACE ITSELF
Our home is on a corner and has large windows with gorgeous views of the SF skyline, both spans of the Bay Bridge, and the Bay itself.
The home is elegant and relaxed with designer and custom-made furniture/furnishings, with a treasure trove of books, music, artwork, and artifacts.
Bottom floor of the rental contains an open, spacious plan with distinct kitchen, living, and dining areas. Wood floors with rugs.
Living area contains classic stereo setup with turntable, CD player, great speakers; pull-down screen and projector. House does not have a television or cable TV.
Kitchen is well-equipped for someone who loves to cook: new appliances, dish drying rack, soda stream, espresso maker, coffee paraphernalia, instapot, blender, great cookware, spices, etc.
Second floor of the rental contains 2 large bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom, an extremely comfortable natural foam mattress, large, operable windows with views as described above.
