Beauty at the Port

This place was a the perfect ending to our trip to Greece. The apartment was just so beautiful, it was spacious and had every thing we needed. We loved sitting on the balcony enjoying the sunrises and sunsets. Xanthi was a super host. She met us at the port and helped us settle into her place. We would love to have stayed longer.

A perfect place in a perfect location

It is difficult to know where to start, everything was so perfect. To start with, Xanthi met us at the apartment and oriented us to the apartment and Heraklion. The apartment is decorated nicely and is well supplied. The view from the balcony is unbelievable. We spent many hours enjoying the view and Crete weather. Just a short walk up the street is something for everybody. (Souvenir shops, wonderful restaurants, department stores, and boutique clothing and shoe stores) The timing of our next trip to Crete will be determined by the availability of this apartment.

Just wonderful!

Communication with host was easy, she promptly responded to all my calls, the apartment was clean, oozing of charm, had everything we needed and more, from the toast and jams, coffee and teas she left for us, as well as all the original artwork everywhere, not one thing else was necessary. The apartment is much cuter than the photos. I wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you for sharing with us.

The host Xanthi is lovely. So positive and helpful.

Unfortunately her apt is on a very noisy street where the street life goes late into the night. However on a good note if you close the doors & windows tight it really reduces the noise. I am hoping that for future guests Xanthi buys a new mattress otherwise the apt. Is very well appointed

Time is a waste if we don't get to see the world as much as we can and contribute to the 'big picture' and not just our 'microworld'... I like the busy noisy life of my town which I can rapidly swap with explorations to the calming and picturesque countryside...Living by the sea, I neve forget to rest my eyes on the constantly changing colours of the water and sky to ease my day. I've been to European countries so far, but the greatest journeys are yet to come!

This property's decoration reflects the personality of the owner and previous owners - family members. It was fully renovated in 2019. Its artistic touch is linked to privately owned handmade works of art as well as handmade furniture restoring made by the current owner. Restored antique furniture reveal a fresh distinct look impeccably combined with brand new comtemporary furniture. All furnishings are personalised to deliver the romantic atmosphere and warmth that this residence was always about!
Kitchen is well equipped with all basic appliances such as electric stove, refridgerator, toaster, sandwich gril, kettle, filtercoffee maker, coffee mixer (frappe maker).
Bottled water provided on arrival - tap water is not drinking water.
Medium firm pillows in the bedroom - options for hard or soft firm pillows.
Waterproof mattress cover and extra top soft mattress cover used at all times.
Pc mat provided to use on table surface for guests' laptops.
