They are not kidding when they say the steps are steep. The five of us had a great time. The home and supplies are dated but we had everything we needed. Loved the location! Beech Mountain is an absolutely beautiful place!

What a special place
My family was delighted and very happy with our stay. The house is well maintained and had everything we needed. Being so close to the ski lifts and snow boarding (1 mile) was so very convenient. Deer were were plentiful around the house allowing my grandchildren to feed them - walked up and the boys fed from their hands. This delighted them and they still talk about it.
The house was roomy and very comfortable with good beds and lots of room for relaxing after skiing all day.
Parking for our cars was easy with the curved driveway - so either car was convenient to use. Close by shopping at Fred’s mercantile was a treat for all of us. They had everything we needed and forgot to take with us.
We will be back to this beautiful home next year - as it was all we dreamed of and more.
The location is great for skiing Beech Mountain and going into Banner Elk. The cabin is somewhat dated but charming. Only complaint is mold in the shower curtain and the need for a deep clean of the entire cabin.
This was a perfect weekend for our family! We loved the location, especially the parking. The home was spacious and nice for us to relax and enjoy some time together!
Evolve was not very communicative - as a matter of fact, they never responded to me.
The owner was amazing!
The house was nice and in a nice area. However, the house wasn’t clean. When we arrived, the TV on first floor was on and sheets on twin beds were dirty. House was also very dust with cobwebs on light fixtures and ceiling. I would love to stay there again but it would need an overall cleaning.
My daughter is a freshman at Appalachian State. Her birthday was last weekend and I wanted to come visit. My mom, aunt, and family friend also wanted to see her for her birthday so instead of getting a hotel room, I rented a house big enough for the crew.
The house was beautiful in the pictures and did not disappoint in real life. We played games, cooked family meals, and just had lots of fun together.
The deer! Oh my they were amazing!! So many deer came right into the yard. They ate from our hands and they were super friendly. That was the highlight of my 6 year old’s trip.
When I asked Elena (the birthday girl) what the highlight of her trip was, she said: “playing Uno, the swinging bridge (we visited Grandfather Mountain), and chicken pot pie!
Thankful for the memories that were made in this house that was available for us!!
This place has a great lay out for a family environment. One bedroom on the main floor. Two bedrooms upstairs with a Jack and Jill bathroom with a loft overlooking the large family area. However, I would NOT recommend this for smaller children because of the spacing on the railings. But perfect for adults. Steps going up are in keeping with the rustic decor, but could be tricky for older folks. (We are older :-), but we managed okay) A 'game' room or extra bedroom downstairs with an additional bedroom with two twin beds and another full bath. So plenty of room to be comfortable. Very nice property. One thing to note...we were here in August. There is NO air conditioning, but we were comfortable. Nights are cool and we were out during the day.
Feeding the deer was amazing. They will come right up to you!
We will probably try to come back to this same place. The owners were great.

Stay was not comfortable for everyone
Our stay was not comfortable for everyone . A/C was not there and some room don’t have fan. We could not use the basement , it was hot . Deck was dirty - had chairs but it's not clean, some are broken
Great property manager she even gave suggestions on where to eat. Very attentive and responsive when I had probelsm with the dishwasher. We had a few deer to visit us which was great.
What a great location to spend time with a group of friends. The large living room was a great space for us to come together as a group to laugh, share and pray. We enjoyed our morning and afternoon visits with the deer. Great place for a large family or group trip.
The property was exactly as advertised.
The owner was responsive immediately when I asked a few questions (no issues just questions!)
Big comfortable property with room for much more than my 2 adults and 2 kids.
If you’re planning to put kids in the rooms upstairs like I did, know that the corridor is open to the ground floor below only separated by a 2 beam banister. So upstairs is not for toddlers crawling! But for my 3 and 6 year old it worked just fine.
Great facilities in the home. Plenty of room. Great tech. And a 3 min drive from Beech Mountain resort.
What’s not to like? I’ll be back.
Great mountain home that my family thoroughly enjoyed. It is well equipped and worked perfect for our family of four. Just note that there are 2 full and one queen beds in the upstairs bedrooms and the queen is not in the master. Not a big deal, but just a heads up-the fulls are not very accommodating to tall guys.
Lovely house in a great location! Close to restaurants and shops with a cute hiking path right up the street. Be sure to look out front in the evening for a few families of deer that come right on the property. Nice and quiet neighborhood would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Our stay was amazing. The house was nice and cozy. Also the house had very nice amenities. It rained so we didn’t get to use the outdoor space much but it was lovely.
This mountain property was really nice. There were plenty of bedrooms for our family to spread out and the beds were comfortable. There was plenty of dining space and the porches were wonderful! We could have used a pantry or shelf to put all of our groceries on since we chose to cook our meals. The stairs in the space are very narrow. Might be difficult for aging adults or very small children. Those were the only things that were a small challenge. Otherwise it was very clean and comfortable for our vacation with 7 people!
