Dont do it

Do use this facility. Host forgot/thought i cancelled. Ck in is 3pm. Called host since no ck instructions sent she did not respond. I called host she said 2 things to me i thouhht you were coming tomorrow, next comment, i thought you cancelled. We made arrangements (since she was not home) to ck in at 6pm got there at 645 she was still not there... called her again she asked could we please go to dinner. So i ended up taking all 6 family members out. Finished dinner 1.25 hours later she still was not at the property. We finally got into our toom after 10pm. And no no other hotels in the area this is in Alaska... host had 2 dogs that would bark and growel very scarey., would NOT be a place for young kids. The owner has a hoarding issue the property is a hot mess. The inside of the cabin was nice. Do not create such a horrible hassle furing your time away .... FIND ANOYHER PLACE TO STAY

We had a really great time in Alaska. The view is amazing and host is a super friendly. I know there are low star reviews in the past - my experience says that it is expectations. If you come in with the right expectations I think you'll have a great time. The property has a house and a 20'x30' building that is split into two rentals. The amazing view is behind the house, you can sit back there whatever. You can't see it from the rental. The host is there some of the time at the house. If you expected a private rental you'll likely be disappointed. If you expect a really friendly lady who drops off little things and is generous, but present you'll be good. I don't think she lives there and it isnt in constant use, so there may be a few things that need addressing when you are checking in or there. If you expect the check-in might take take awhile for her to finish prepping the place, and it been super smooth being a bonus your good. We had 4 guys and we had a great time.
