The home contains three sunny bedrooms complete with hardwood floors, desert-inspired decor, and signature earth-tone concrete block walls that you’ll find throughout the property. Windows in the primary bedroom command long views in two directions, and there’s a wall-mounted TV for afternoon siestas.
On The Rocks! has two bathrooms, which include a shower/tub combination and modern fixtures.

The thoughtful kitchen features top-quality appliances and a generous island with tuck-under stools to encourage socializing during meal preparation. The new, stainless steel appliances include a gas stove, oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, and dishwasher, and a coffee maker and toaster ensure mornings go smoothly. Perhaps you’ll prepare afternoon drinks on the rocks to pair with your desert-inspired cuisine. Share meals in style at the dining table, which seats 6 under an eye-catching light fixture, or opt for casual al fresco dining on the patio, which is accessible via a sliding door from the kitchen.

There’s no shortage of outdoor space at On The Rocks! Settle into the comfortable, fully shaded outdoor seating area at the front of the house, where you can drink in the unobstructed views of the Craggy Mountains within the National Park. All enjoyable from within the comfort of a brand new hot tub.
At the rear of the property, the patios back directly up to soaring boulders, providing an intimate and mesmerizing sense of being one with this inspiring natural setting. A propane fire feature set at the boulders invites guests to pull low chairs close to the warmth on cool nights.

Parking is available for 2 vehicles in the carport. An electric charging station has a 25 foot cord in the carport.

Joshua Tree and the communities surrounding the Joshua Tree National Park include Flamingo Heights, Pioneertown, Morongo Valley, Yucca Valley, and Landers. Sweeping, grand in scale and populated by granite monoliths and voluptuous rock and boulder formations. Diverse forms of plant life are found everywhere, but none as unique or prevalent as the park’s namesake: the Joshua tree, standing majestically across the vast topography.

As the only professional management company in the area, we have always maintained exceptional cleaning standards. We pay above the living wage standards; 100% of your cleaning fee is paid to the cleaners (i.e. no profit to us) and we insist on a professional level of cleaning between guests. We love the High Desert for a lot of reasons - including the open spaces, lack of crowds, and dry weather that we believe make it a safe place to visit.

You will have the entire house and property to yourself.
The Neighborhood:
Joshua Tree Highlands is considered one of the most desirable neighborhoods in the area given its close proximity to the national park as well as its forever northerly vistas of the Mojave Desert. Though you’ll feel like you’re far from civilization, this area sits just a few minutes’ drive from shops and restaurants in Joshua Tree Village and Yucca Valley.
When you’re ready for some outdoor adventure, Joshua Tree National Park’s West Entrance is less than 5 minutes away by car.

Getting Around:
Many roads in the high desert are dirt, so please take it slow. While a car is required to get around, a four wheel drive car is not, but note that roads will often have ruts, particularly after a rain.
