Beautiful House, Well-Stocked, Great View from Decks

This place is a winner! The house was spotless and well-stocked with toiletries, laundry soap, spices, cookware, etc. The layout is great and there are two private decks. Oh, and the 2-car garage was spacious and easy to get in and out of. In the interest of full disclosure, we did have a problem when we arrived, but the owners were polite and responsive with a satisfactory solution. Bottom line: I would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

We arrived a little after check in time- The area is beautiful. The house was perfect! Well maintained, clean and exactly what we needed for our Trip. Room for everyone to chill and relax after a long day. Quiet and the back porch was just amazing. We sat out there every evening and talked and laughed and enjoyed the sounds of the crickets, then every morning we got up, drank our coffee and got ready for the day! We will be coming back here again in the future. We had 5 kids and 5 adults- all happy with the space and layout. Don't pass this one by- well worth it!

Clean and comfortable, great place to stay

We had a nice relaxing time. The home was well furnished with comfortable beds and places to lounge. It was very clean, which is a huge bonus in my book. The freezer even had a couple of frozen pizzas in it- maybe from the last people but I was happy to see an easy meal for the kids after a 7 hour drive. Lol! Plenty of plates, silverware, glasses, and like 7 tongs, a wine opener, can opener, but ironically no pizza cutter. We laughed. There were basic appliances- toaster, coffee pot, maybe others but that’s all we used. It didn’t have a lot the way of extra stuff like blankets or towels, but we made do and didn’t find it to be a problem, just bring along an extra blanket if you are inclined to get cold and be prepared to do laundry. It is quite possible they would have brought us some blankets had we thought of it before we were ready for bed. Also, there are neighborhood swimming pools, not a private one. You have to drive quite a ways to it and pay to get in, and bring your own towels, so be prepared. When we stayed the indoor pool was being remodeled so the only option was outdoor, which was fine but again it would have been nice to know these things. We had a good time with the kids. The backyard was neat- flowering crepe Myrtle’s, big oaks, frogs, and dragonflies.The surrounding neighborhood is amazing. There are so many places to run, bike, hike, golf, or just drive around. All the houses are spaced apart and private. It’s a little world unto itself. It’s a win!

Not what I was expecting

The owners were very good at communicating with us prior to our trip and were accommodating when I requested to add an additional day to our trip.The place was clean, though when I went to make breakfast, the spatula I found had gunk on it. The soap dispenser had old soap that had oozed out around the button and was not cleaned off.I was disappointed with the cookware. I only cooked breakfast on the first morning of our trip and pans for making omelets were horrible. I was glad I only had to make that one meal.I am older, so I like to sleep with extra blanket. There was a cedar chest labeled blankets, but it was empty. I was able to take a blanket off the bed in another bedroom that wasn't being used.We ran out of shampoo, nearly ran out of hand soap in the master bath and nearly ran out of toilet paper in the master bath.I know from the listing that there were two separate units to the house that we shared the driveway. We had two cars in the garage and managed to get in and out okay, but not convenient. Backing out was a scary as the driveway sits below a hill and you couldn't see car coming.The person in the unit below us got up every morning at 4:30am and paced back and forth under the master bedroom for an hour. It woke us up and it was difficult to go back to sleep.

Pleasant place to stay

Me and three golf buddies who take golf trips regularly stayed at this location for three days and two nights. The house was clean and nicely decorated. The owner has done a very good job of having extras like coffee, plenty of cooking tools, plates, glasses and such. Nice stay.

Excellent location and innkeeper

Place was beautiful. Balcony was peaceful. Fortunately the space below us was vacant during our stay, definitely something we’ll be extra careful about going forward. The host was so kind and helpful. Even gave us a late checkout (since it was off-season). I’d give it 10-stars if they’d let me.
