The Delaney Family, Wexford, August 2019
We had a wonderful stay here at Askanagap Country Cottage. Family-friendly cottage, suitable for all ages and abilities, We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Kids loved the outdoor play area with slide and swings. A few recommendations if you are on holiday here include Meeting of the Waters in Avoca and Dublin Zoo, all within 90 minutes drive from Askanagap. Playground and wonderful walks around the cottage, so much to see and do, I could write a book about it, hopefully we’ll be back soon.

The Ryan Family, Cashel, Co. Tipperary, August 2019
All of us greatly enjoyed our stay. The house was lovely and cosy and laid out perfectly to suit our family. Views were fab, we only wish the weather had been a bit better. We had never been to Wicklow and there is so much to see and do, we may return, hopefully, during summertime. All in all the accommodation was perfect. Couldn’t ask for more.

Chris, Denise, Cara & Lauren, Co. Down, Northern Ireland, August 2019
Thank you John & Julie for a lovely stay in your beautiful cottage. When we arrived we were pleased to see the fire lighting on a day that was raining and after a long drive. The fruit cake was delicious too. We enjoyed visiting Aughrim, Avoca and Wicklow Town whilst also spending a day in Bray (the kids loved it) and a trip to Kia Ora mini farm. The views from your cottage are amazing and Chris and Cara were made very welcome when they went to watch a football blitz on the GAA pitch. We will recommend to family and friends!

Sylvia, Ann & Angela, Down & Derry, Northern Ireland, August 2019
The cottage surpassed our expectations, wonderful location; peaceful, yet not far from many beautiful places. We especially loved Aughrim. Thanks to John & Julie for all your help.

Bennetts and Pidds, July 2019
Beautiful house, well appointed and comfortable. Good location from which to visit delightful new places. The countryside is spectacular and the people charming and welcoming. What more could we ask for during an excellent holiday?

McGuinness Family, Dundalk, Co. Louth, July 2019
Had a lovely pleasant stay. Great place to travel from to see all the sights of Wicklow, Carlow and Wexford. The kids loved the playhouse in the garden. Thank you John & Julie

Freda & Bill, Shropshire, UK, June 2019
Another warm welcome to a spotlessly clean cottage. Visited all the usual gardens, all still beautiful, no wonder Monty Don listed Mount Usher in his top 10 best gardens. Can’t believe nine years have passed since our last visit, how time flies. Weather on the whole good, but Ireland wouldn’t be so green without a little rain!

Baileys & Hayes, Green Valley A2, USA,
Best cottage we have stayed in.

Michelle & Mark Hoey and friends , Dundalk, April 2019
This was a great location, the house was lovely and clean and comfortable. We loved that the fire was lit for us when we arrived and the beautiful brack. Thanks so much.

Walker Family, Manchester, April 2019
Thank you for a fabulous stay in your lovely cottage. The information folders were great and helped us get around. The lovely fruit cake was delicious too.

Perfect For Us
The property was absolutely everything we needed for our family. With a room for the preteen, grandma and young family, we all had our own space! The living area was cozy and the kitchen was well laid out and stocked with a laundry just off the side. We will definitely return to the area again.

Beauty
This was the last of six we stayed at. Close enough to Dublin Airport. Beautiful countryside. We witnessed a sheep herder and his two dogs bring in 30 or so sheep from high up. THe dogs floated across the field as if they had wings on their feet.

2023 Ireland Vacation
The property is in the Irish countryside. Because of that, it can be a little tricky to get to. The owners, John and Julie, were super helpful and friendly. The property is in a nice central location for visiting Kilkenny, Wexford, Gorey, Arklow, Wicklow, Glendalough, and Dublin.
