Very nice family home. Felt like you were visiting grandparents. We used this home as we traveled for a family reunion and was so nice to have a quiet place after a long day with family
In town for my niece's graduation and this was a wonderful property and very charming home. Perfect location and pet friendly. The kitchen was well stocked and comfortable. Highly recommend!!

Thanks for coming to Pa's place and congratulations to the graduate!!
Loved the property. This is our 2nd year and we'll be back. Lovely area, roomy and comfortable lodging. Owner made our stay welcoming and comfortable. Great pool!
This property is an old farmhouse that is very comfortable. Our family enjoyed the time in the pool, and relaxing together. It is a short drive to the city of Canandaigua for shopping, ice cream, or hanging out by the pier.
Lovely house, lots of space for the 4 of us. The kids loved the pool. Beautiful views, and not too far from the main action. Will be booking again in the future!

Thanks for coming to visit our family home! We are happy you enjoyed your stay.
We had a lovely long weekend experiencing the Canandaigua area as well as the eclipse. Pa’s Place was a perfect home base for our family adventures. Loved this old farmhouse on a hill!
We had a great time at this place. They left us an awesome cinnamon roll cake thing!! It is nice to have a pool on the premises. We stayed there on our way to NYC from Niagara Falls. During our stay we were able to visit some church historical sites in the area. We loved going through the area by the lake.
This is our third time staying at Pa's Place.Every time we decide to take a get away trip with our dog, Bodhi, our search for places to stay takes us back here. We love the farmhouse, the location and proximity to town/ lake and of course, the responsiveness of the owner, Kate. As I wrote in their guestbook, " My wife and I are in our 70's and this home was built over 20 years before we were born. It' s great that Kate has opened up Pa's place for others to create their own memories."We, including Bodhi, have come to think of Pa's place as " our home away from home."

Hello, and thank you so much for the kind words. We can't wait to welcome you back for year 4!
And finally (hopefully) meet Bodhi!
Have a great year!

This was our first time using VRBO and used site because we were bringing our companion ( dog). We found the information very accurate and had a wonderful stay. Felt very much at home in this country farmhouse in the Finger Lakes.
Actually, all ( including dog) had best sleep away from home ever, and have stayed at some very nice B&B's.
Will definitely plan on using site again.

Overall, it was a lovely home. We weren't there much, due to the Thanksgiving holiday and being out at a family function, but we did enjoy the time we spend in the house. The Wii was a big hit, as was the coffee/tea bar. The beds were super comfy and the location is close to the main street of Canandaigua.

Thanks for coming to enjoy Pa's Place! Happy Thanksgiving, Jennifer and Family.
My family wanted a vacation to relax and getaway. This farmhouse was perfect for this. It was comfortable, clean, spacious for family of 5 and our dog. The pool was fabulous! The host, Kate, was welcoming and responsive. She left treats for us and our dog from a local bakery- such a nice touch! The area was quiet, picturesque, and there were sights to see nearby and a short drive away. We went to Lake Ontario Beach Park one day. A local bookstore The Paperback Place was a hit- sold used and new books and I went to the BodMod Shop to re-Pierce my ears. They were great!Highly recommend!

We stayed at Pa's house this past weekend for a ski race. This is the most quaint farmhouse. It's SO cozy. The bed was super comfy. Everything was spotless and user friendly. We had our dog, and he was greeted with some treats and a new toy, which was the nicest thing EVER! Great coffee bar with many choices. Loved our stay. Would stay again if we need to. Thanks!

Pa's Place is a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery and Canadaigua Lake. We loved how close the public boat ramp was for our boat, it only took 7 mins. from the house. All the local shops, restaurant and groceries where no more than 10 mins. away. We took most of our meal on the patio and enjoyed the pool and playing yard game.
It's a wonderful place for a family vacation.
This was perfect for our family girls trip. Even the teenagers were happy to spend all our time there. Of course the pool and wii were a big plus!
Our host was awesome. I even had the pleasure of meeting her, since I forgot something. Thank goodness she called to say she found it. Thank you

Thank you, Jennifer! We are so glad you enjoyed your visit to the Finger Lakes!
The owners and the property are exceptionally welcoming. Prior to our arrival, Kate gave us all the necessary information to be prepared for a winter vacation. Arrived to a freshly baked dessert, and a lit Christmas tree. The downstairs living area was spacious, and very suitable for seating family groups in separate dining areas. The large eat-in kitchen was well equiped. We'd eagerly return at any time of year.
Lovely serene property. Lots of space for interaction and privacy. Country farmhouse charm and beautiful neighborhood and property. Lots of towels and all the necessities. A/C units in every room for Temps to keep everyone happy. Friendly and courteous property owner just a text away! Thank you. Lots to do within a short drive.
When you walk into this house it’s like stepping back in time! It’s so cozy and comfortable! How nice to walk into the house and have a treat from the local bakery for us and a new toy for our dog waiting on the kitchen table. It was so much fun to all stay together as opposed to staying in Hotel rooms. We enjoyed spending time together as a family, enjoying meals at the kitchen and dining table , laughing and making memories . The coffee/tea bar was a hit and we enjoyed the huge selection of coffee. The beds are very comfortable, there are PLENTY towels, wash clothes, and we appreciated having shampoo, body wash, and conditioner provided! Thanks for the great stay!!!

Thanks so much, Jacquie! We are very glad you enjoyed your stay.
We stayed Saturday to Saturday in August 2024. The farm house was delightful. It was hot when we arrived and the air conditioners were running and the house was comfortable. We enjoyed the back porch with the awning and was able to hang out there most nights even in the rain and thunder storm. The only drawback was that we did choose this location because it had a pool. However, due to the rain, the pool water turned green and was unusable. Sadly, my bathing suit went on vacation with us again and did not get worn. Other than that, the property worked out great. The view was outstanding and the proximity to stores, restaurants etc was great!

Hi, Don and family. Thank you for such a positive review!
We are so happy you chose to stay at Pa's Place, visit the Finger Lakes, and enjoy all our area has to offer.
Yes, unfortunately, we can not control the weather, and we have had a lot of rain this season. We ask our guests to let us know immediately if the pool condition changes so we can try to get it back before the green comes in. This information is in the check-in book and sent through VRBO prior to check-in if needed. I do apologize for the lack of pool availability. Even our lake has been unavailable due to harmful algae blooms lately.
I traveled with my husband, son, and beagle, plus my parents and their small dog joined us for most of the stay. There was plenty of room for all of us. Although the house is old fashioned, it is very comfortable and the hosts did their best to make us feel welcome. For example, we were greeted with fresh pastry from a local bakery and treats for our dogs. We had some very hot weather and so really enjoyed the pool. The town of Canandaigua is a lovely place to visit and is convenient to the house for groceries, restaurants, dog walks, etc. The kitchen wasn't quite up to standard in terms of cleanliness, and the pool did develop algae in the hot weather. The hosts were responsive to our concerns about the pool filter, though.
This farm house was perfect for our fall getaway to the Finger Lakes area. Everything was perfect for our family of nine, and we all enjoyed it so much. The owners were very helpful, and the whole rental process was smooth. Thank you for a wonderful time!
