When we arrived the grocery bags stuck to the counter and bread crumbs were also left on the counter. Spent the next day cleaning as the floors were not filthy, but it was obvious they were not mopped as seen when light reflected on the floor. Notified the owner about the lack of cleaning and she called with rather an aggressive attitude. She asked what was wrong and responded that her cleaning lady was a five star cleaner which she repeated three more times as I was explaining the condition of home. I informed her that I had no reason to lie. Once again she responded with her cleaning being a five star.
Vacuum did not work. Not enough suction.
Kitchen was sparse. Not enough pots and pans for cooking which is not a big deal if staying a weekend but we stayed three months.
Furnace control was locked out, but two small space heaters were provided that you could move from room to room. The nights got rather cold.
We brought our small boat and she wanted to charge us $500 to park under the car port. She said we could send the money directly to her to avoid any fees that Verbo might take. My husband told her he will find another place to park the boat. She then told him there was no other place to park the boat. Well, we found the park has a lot in which you can park boats or RV’s, for $30/month. We used the lot provided by the park.
Close to when we were leaving we received a text offering us the property next year because we were such good tenants and that we would be able to park the boat under the carport for free. And also, we could pay through paypal instead of Verbo.
