Summary:
Welcome to our Spacious Mountain Retreat in downtown Leadville! This wonderful pet-friendly family home has a fenced yard, hot tub, and is walking distance to Leadville's Main St. If you fancy skiing, we're just a short drive from Copper Mountain or Ski Cooper. We can't wait to host you!

The Space:
Mom's house is a 3 bedroom house with 2 bathrooms. Access to the backyard patio with benches, grill, and beautiful view of the mountains. At mom's house, friends and family are welcome - pet's too!

The primary bedroom has a king bed, TV (smart) and closet.
The queen bedroom has a closet.
The upstairs has a queen bed and a twin bed on opposite sides of the room.
Living Room has a Smart TV.
Spacious backyard with a hot tub!

Guests have access to the entire house, except the garage and basement.

The Neighborhood:
You'll be surrounded by the highest mountains in the Colorado Rockies where majestic scenery blends with a lively history. There is much to do during your stay including:

- Skiing at nearby Ski Cooper, Copper Mountain, Keystone, Breckenridge, Vail and Beaver Creek
- Ice skating, sledding, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and Nordic skiing on the Mineral Belt Trail.
- Mountain biking for any level of expertise. World-class hiking, mountain climbing, fishing and hunting.
- Shopping, dining, visiting museums or taking a self-guided walking tour in a quintessential Victorian town.
- Following the route of the Silver Kings in Leadville's Mining District.
- Exploring ghost towns.
- Four-wheeling from beginner level to the more advanced 13,186' Mosquito Pass, the highest vehicular road in the United States.

Getting Around:
Mom's House is located just a half block off of Harrison Avenue (Leadville's Main Street), which means you can walk to all of Leadville's restaurants, shops and museums.

There is an additional pet fee if you are bringing a pet (2 pets max) - $70 +tax for one, $140 + tax for two.

If it snows more than several inches, look for snow removal signs to make sure you don't violate any temporary parking rules.

Do NOT use the fireplace.

Staying in the mountains offers a unique and nature-immersed experience, characterized by a rustic charm. You might occasionally encounter some of the local wildlife, insects, and small critters that are part of the natural surroundings. We recommend keeping doors securely closed whenever possible. Rest assured, we've implemented thorough measures to ensure your stay remains undisturbed by these natural inhabitants.

Altitude sickness is real. In Leadville/ Twin Lakes, the elevation can be up to 10,000 feet. Symptoms can include dizziness and nausea, so please be mindful of this. We cannot offer refunds for guests experiencing altitude sickness. If you anticipate being affected, we recommend obtaining insurance at the time of booking.

The home is in a convenient location near downtown and a variety of restaurants, though the surrounding neighborhood may not appeal to all guests. The kitchen has been nicely updated, and the dining table is spacious enough for group meals. The layout worked well for our group of six, and the backyard, with its privacy fence, was a great space for our dogs.While the carpet shows some wear, this may be expected in a pet-friendly rental. Quick ski trip
