Loved everything about our stay - friendly horses, gorgeous kelpie (hello Tim), birdlife, the pub nearby for food, lovely hosts and the evening an echidna sauntered past the cottage.
A lovely clean well presented cottage in a peaceful location yet close enough to enjoy other activities in the surrounding towns. Jeannette is a fantastic host and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived.
It was a very enjoyable stay. We loved the property which was extremely clean and well managed. The surroundings with animals and the nature were wonderful. Our kids loved it and they didn't want to leave.
Thank you Alan and we will be back.
We had a short little weekend getaway while attending a wedding. The property was fantastic, great for our little boy to see the animals. We loved going for walks around the property with him.We took our dog along too, she loved playing with Tim! Alan and Jeannette’s dog. He is such a friendly pup. Jeannette Was so welcoming when we arrived and gave us more information about the property and animals they have.We would highly recommend staying at this property!
A fantastic, quiet and peaceful property, with secure room for dogs to run. The log fire was fabulous with plenty of timber to keep it burning. I would definitely stay at this property again.
This is an amazing property with very friendly and accomodating hosts. The property is super clean and comfy and Alan even gave us some fresh veges from his garden. We were able to roam and feed the animals (goats, geese and horse) and catch yabbies from the dam. We even used the fire!! Our dog had a great enclosed area too. A great, relaxing city escape. Thank you Jeanette and Alan!
A lovely, comfortable and impeccably clean home close to Moss vale and Bowral. Fully fenced back yard for family fur children, secure lock up garage, patio with outdoor eating ( weather dependant) . Vegetables from the garden, a lovely touch from Alan, and fresh eggs from the chickens and ducks. Spencer the Shetland pony was a favourite !! Walking/ running/ bike path near by. We loved our stay here, and will be back.
We found this property last minute and we are so happy we did. We checked into a less than desirable house in Berry so at 7pm at night we were looking for somewhere to go the next day for the remaining 5 nights of our holiday. Alan was very helpful and happy to have us come and check in the next day. The location of the house is fantastic, with Bowral and Moss Vale town centres a short, easy drive. Walking around the property was lovely and we said hello to the Shetland, goats and geese each day. We were lucky enough to be there when two beautiful baby goats were born and we got to pat them and say hello. Our 3 dogs had a ball running in the fully fenced paddock next to the house. The house was spotless and the fire was perfect for the uncharacteristically cold spring days we had there. Alan and Jeannette were extremely accommodating hosts and were kind enough to share some of their home grown veggies which were delicious. We will definitely be returning in the future and can’t wait until we do!
A return stay for us, a great location and lovely hosts to deal with. Peaceful location surrounded by animals yet well located for whatever you plans may be up int he highlands.
Alan and Jeanette were wonderful hosts. This modern charming cosy 2 bed cottage was fabulous. We took our dog so the fully fenced back yard for nighttime pee stops, as well as the securely fenced 10 acre property, gave us total peace of mind. Our dog and the hosts’ dog Timmy entertained themselves and we enjoyed the wood burning stove and close proximity to Bowral. Great stay.
Hosts were friendly and warm. Place is central and lovely surroundings. Family friendly and able to feed goats on the property. Hosts gave us some veggies from their farm too. A wonderful stay overall.
Lovely hosts, great location, friendly puppy. Wonderful gardens and accommodation.Very centrally located with easy access to restaurants etc, but still feels very peaceful. Great getaway location.
Lovely country retreat complete with horses, goats and very friendly, gentle kelpie. The hosts were welcoming and friendly, the house spacious, clean, tidy, comfortable and well appointed. Perfect for a stay with our Italian greyhound who loved running around the grounds and playing with Jimmy the Kelpie and a visiting Scottie. We were there during storms and a blackout, but felt safe and cosy inside.
My family and I had a lovely time staying in this property. It is clean and comfortable. Our dog loved running around and playing with Timmy. It was a bonus to be able to see all the lovely animals, especially the baby goats.Fantastic stay and we will return again. Thank you.
A lovely getaway in a quiet location, but close to all you need
Alan and Jeanette were wonderful hosts during our stay at their cottage. We really enjoyed having everything we needed and being in the quiet grounds of the farm but also being close to everything. The kids loved the horses and baby goats and we really appreciated Alan showing us around his farm. Definitely recommend!
It's a lovely clean well presented house in a peaceful location. Alan and Jeanette were amazing and very helpful hosts. We had so much fun in the farm. Our dog Teddy really misses Tim.
We had a lovely few days on Alan and Jeanette's farm. They were so welcoming and friendly and the house was very clean and comfortable. Our boys (and dog) loved the freedom of being able to ride their bikes and explore the grounds safely and spending time with the goats, horses and geese. It was a very relaxing little holiday.
Fabulous stay in a wonderful house and a great location
We all had a wonderful time in this lovely little home. It was clean, comfortable, modern and warm. The location is great - very close to Bowral and on a lovely little property. The kids loved all the animals and Ziggy, our dog, adored Timmy. We'll definitely be back.
The property was outstanding , there were 4 of us staying at the accommodation and it had more than enough room for us all to enjoy it comfortably .
The host were very friendly and helpful and we found it hard to leave .
Tim the kelpie was great fun .
We would definitely recommend this place and we would stay again without hesitation .

Lovely property in quiet farm setting. Close to all the Southern Highlands townships. Spacious house with modern amenities and furnishings.
a long weekend getaway doing not much, but relaxing and enjoying the countryside within reach of good food. We also enjoyed Alan's fresh veggies, and our dog had the experience of his life playing with Timmy, seeing and smelling real horses, and being a country dog for a short few days!
