IM 70.3 Visit

The rental was ideal for the Ironman race week - off the course enough that road closures didn't impact but close enough to get everywhere via bike.

Excellent Bach for good weekend away

Lovely lakeside bach, warm and well equipped. Great for our stay doing the Taupo Marathon. Close enough to the town centre to be easy without getting caught up in Marathon traffic.

Homely feel, very clean, comfirtable beds, everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Its a lockwood house so is very creaky with temp change, but very cosy, lovely grounds.

Lockwood on the Hill

Lovely home. Extremely well equipped with everything we needed. Just one critique, it would be nice to have some room in the freezer to pop a couple of things. Thanks for the great stay.

Taupo weekend

Well appointed house, well set up, lovely setting. (private note for property managers: lots of dead insects under curtains on carpet; dripping tap in laundry that suggests there needs to be a new washer (we didn't use washing machine); the fact there were no arrangements for recycling (bottles, cans, plastic, paper) was very surprising

Disappointing

The guest book read like a list of things not to do, rather than a welcome to the property, hence we did not use anything that 'wasn't ours' in the kitchen! Crockery had dried on food, assume it had been throught the disherwasher and not checked, sauce pans not fully clean, place mats not wiped down. No bins/boxes for recycling, no yellow bag under sink for rubbish as stated, hence we had to dispose of our own recycling. Pile of dirty laundry on floor in wardrobe. Bath towels were very old and shabby, not what we would expect to find in a holiday home. All in all very disappointing for the money we paid.

Handy Location , nice outdoor areas

House is older Lockwood - a little creaky and noisy, Nicely fitted out with fire but reasonably basic. Nice deck and good outdoor areas - with pizza oven. Tidy and good coordination with property manager.

Enjoyable stay

Had quite a lovely time at the house. Everything was above average. However as mentioned in the listing there is quite a significant amount of creaking. Not only when walking around the house but at night spontaneous creaking happens. If you have kids with you just be mindful of this. They might get a little frightened. Other than that my family and I enjoyed our stay

Has everything you need, clean and warm (with heatpump on). Comfy and cost. Bit noisy as all timber and small.
