Thanks for the nice review Susan
The cleaners beat me to the house but advised you left the house spotless, thank you
Brian
P.S the neighbours have been very quiet 😊
The perfect beach shack for a relaxing holiday with the fam. Brian was awesome with communication and was very chill to deal with. Sunrises were amazing and the kayaks a perfect addition for exploring the creek. Just beautiful all round
Well equipped with everything you could need including kayaks and supps and outdoor cricket! A fantastic pick for families, located on the creek and only a short walk into town.
Brian’s place was set on the lagoon which was so beautiful to sit and watch over brekkie or chilling out on hols . The house was very generously equiped with kayaks , Sups and kitchen condiments not to mention amble gas for the outdoor heater. Beds were comfy and the neighbours were super friendly and loved being able to bring our dog. Thank you Brian
My husband and I (along with our Airedale Terrier) were in need of a real break and the Back Door property did not disappoint!! From waking up in the morning to the magnificent view, listening to all the birds, swimming in the estuary, afternoon sun bakes in the bean bags on the lawn it was such a lovely break. Brian was very responsive to deal with and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again.
We could not have been more delighted. We were visiting for a special family occasion and our stay was an added bonus. Brian and family should be very proud. The property, location, outlook, friendly service and all amenities were simply outstanding. We are looking forward to the chance of visiting again. Thank you very much for having us.

Unfortunately I missed Kreenah and her family by 5 minutes so I didnt get to meet them personally however, they were easy to communicate with and despite a full house, left everything clean and tidy and in great condition.
Happy to have Kreenah and her family back any time and recommend them to other hosts
The Reno was great, rooms are large, views beautiful, private, great sized fenced yard and lots of amenities.
Only thing I didn’t realise was that all the bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen were upstairs and downstairs is the laundry. There’s a pretty big flight of stairs not a problem just wasn’t prepared for the trips with all the luggage.
Thank you Brian, we made some beautiful family memories
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Brian was great to deal with - very accommodating and agreeable. With easy access to the water, the house is perfectly located for watersports such as kayaking and stand up paddleboarding. The house is well presented and well equipped. Our group of 4 adults appreciated the 3 double bedrooms and two good sized bathrooms. We loved that the house is tucked away from the main tourist area but within a short walk to it. We'll miss the tranquility of watching the birdlife and changing tides from the upstairs back deck.
We loved our stay at Brian’s house. Brian went out of his way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We were 2 families staying here and really enjoyed our stay. The backyard is huge for the kids to play with hammocks, swing chairs, bean bag chairs, kayaks and stand up paddle boards. Some of us went kayaking to the beach in the mornings otherwise we drove 2 mins to the beach which had easy all day parking. The back of Brian’s place is also perfect for fishing.
The kitchen was so well stocked with everything- cooking essentials, glad wrap, kitchen blender etc.
There was an electrical socket in the backyard which made it easy for us to charge our EV.
We would come back and stay for sure. We all had a great time.
My wife and I were born and raised on the Central Coast of NSW and continue to live on a small acerage at the back of Terrigal. I am a (mostly retired) landscape designer and my wife Karen runs a small bowel cancer charity. I am a mad keen surfer and spend as much time as possible in Crescent Head, my wife enjoys our main home and only occasionally joins me at the house.
Why they chose this property
As a surfer I enjoy the variety of surf breaks however, my main enjoyment is the relaxed coastal feel, the salty locals and complete lack of traffic lights.
What makes this property unique
With the exception of the caravan park, we are arguably the only waterfront short term rental in Crescent. The ability to walk out the gate and have access to the beautiful clear lagoon is special, even at low tide the sand is clean and its fantastic to walk out and explore. I feel very fortunate to have found all this and still have a 10 min flat walk into town.
