This was such a lovely place to stay on our WA trip. The cottage was really cozy and everything was really well thought out. Staying close to Porongurup national Park was fabulous, we went on a few hikes starting only 15 min drive from the cottages. Mount Barker was also a 10-15 minute drive from us which had a large IGA and a few nice cafes and restaurants. Highly recommend staying with Gary and Maria.

Thank you so much for your kind review, we are very happy you enjoyed our place. Hope to see you again some day. Best regards, Gary and Maria
We are avid birdwatchers and stayed here to be close to the Porongurups. The cabin was spacious with all the facilities we wanted. It has a great verandah with a grand view of the Porongurups. We had Spotted Scrubwrens, Red-winged Fairywrens hopping around the cabin with many other species in the trees at the back. We had a great time.

Thank you for your positive review, We are happy you enjoyed your stay.
We hope to see you again one day.
Many Thanks.
We had a wonderful 2-night stay at Carnaby Cottage and everything was just perfect! We really appreciated the extra detail provided by the owners including fresh eggs, homemade bread, brewed coffee, crackers in the biscuit tin and even homemade soaps. The sticks and wood provided in different sizes made it the easiest fire burner to start and made the cottage very cosy.
Its such a beautiful area with so much to explore. We will be back!

My wife and I had an excellent stay for 6 nights in Carnaby over the new year. It was so peaceful with no man made noises intruding, only the plentiful bird life and the views were wonderful too. Gary was very helpful when we had car issues and they are perfect hosts really. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and had everything you could need. I recommend the Thai takeaway next door at weekends and Dukes vineyard on the other side for visits. Can’t wait to get back soon!

Wow, this was our first stay and wont be our last, we loved not just the charm of cottage with the freshly baked bread, jams and that amazing butter. But the views, enjoying the location, the wildlife, walks and seeing the mountains from the front door.
Come back to the cozy wood fire after the long hike up bluff knoll.
Thank you for making our stay at manyat peak cottages one to remember.

Hi my name is Gary, my wife Maria and I fell in love with this property when we saw it In November 2019, we purchased it in 2020. Our two cottages sit on our 125 acre farm in the south west region of WA, The block consists of natural vegetation and cleared paddocks. We have a small herd of Dexter cattle, We keep and breed our own Chickens and try to live from the farm as much as possible in an organic way, although not certified.
Why they chose this property
The cottages are located over 500 meters back from the road giving guests peace and quiet and a relaxing holiday, We are situated between the award winning Dukes winery to our west and the renowned Maleeya"s Thai café to the east. There are many boutique wineries in the area and an abundance of fresh locally grown food to sample. Manyat peak cottages sit at the base of the Porongurup Ranges and have spectacular views of the Ranges including Gibraltar rock (elephant rock) and Manyat peak (the last peak) and to the north the largest mountain range in Western Australia, the Sterling Range national park is a short 40 min drive
What makes this property unique
There are many walks and hikes in the area, and the spectacular Granite Skywalk is a must on the list of things to do. You are free to wander parts of the property, and meet our cows, (we can locate them for you) Please be aware some fences are electrified, gates are not. We have 3 dams on the property and must not be entered, Children to be supervised at all times.
