About this property

Two storey elevated house beautifully appointed with large screened deck overlooking Iluka Bay located for easy access to the hotel, fishing coop, bike track and the beach. The house is ideal for family get togethers with two separate living areas. There are five bedrooms, three have queen beds, one single bed and one room with two king single beds. Upstairs is the main bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, there is also a sitting area in the main bedroom, great for a quiet reading area, and a cot. Next to the main bedroom is a small room with one single bed. Downstairs are three bedrooms, two with queen beds and one with two king single beds. There is a full bathroom with spa bath and separate toilet. The laundry is also located downstairs, there is a front loader washing machine, outside are two clothes lines one upstairs and one downstairs. There is a double garage and off street parking for three cars.

Great holiday house and location

We loved our stay. The house was really spacious and accommodating. Lovely views and great location, and the screened deck overlooking the river was such a bonus! Great communication from hosts too. Highly recommended!

About the host

Hosted by Carol Wright

Rod and I lived in Iluka before moving to a small acreage 20 minutes away eleven years ago. We both love gardening and my wish was to have a bigger yard to landscape and we both wanted to be able to grow more of our own produce. Rod also needed more room for his ever increasing boats and gear for his fishing business. I now spend most of my days in the garden and Rod is either fishing or working in the vegetable garden. Rod still loves to surf so we still spend a lot of time at the beach in Iluka. We also love to travel and have had many adventures both in Australia and overseas.

Why they chose this property

The high vaulted timber ceilings add an airy and relaxed feel to this house, a feature that we love. The deck has been extended and screened so that it can be used all year round, the views over the bay are beautiful and the sunsets are just magical. Being a large house there is plenty of room for a large family to relax in either of the lounge areas.

What makes this property unique

The house is located in a quiet area of Iluka. With the walking track, which runs from the beach to the passenger ferry wharf, just in front of the house most things are within walking distance. Iluka is renown for its beautiful beaches and they are all within a short drive. There is also a World Heritage bushwalk just a short distance from the house.
