Felt like going to a friend's! Clean, rustic and overall great experience. We stayed with my wife, friends of the family and our dogs. The water was a bit too cold for humans but our dogs loved it! Plan on going back next year if possible!
What an amazing place. The lake view is phenomenal and the house is spacious and very clean. We went in the summer, so it was full of my favorite critters: Loons, frogs, fireflies, birds. The garden and plants around the property are so beautiful, it felt like I was in a Ghibli movie. There was some mosquitoes and black flies but it wasn’t too bad most nights, the screened in “gazebo” was perfect. I would love to come back again for a longer stay, I think it would be great at any time of the year.

Thank you very much, it was a pleasure having you. Hope to welcome you again!
We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful little cottage in the Laurentides with our two young adult kids. The cottage is cozy, well-maintained, and sits on a stunning lake that’s perfect for swimming, kayaking, and canoeing. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook family meals, and the beds were very comfortable. We also appreciated the board games for quiet evenings in and the solid internet connection — a lifesaver since I had no cell service but needed to do a bit of work during our stay.William and Nathalie were wonderful hosts — responsive, helpful, and easy to communicate with. The nearby town of La Minerve is charming and had everything we needed. Highly recommend this spot for a relaxing and fun family getaway!
The cottage is simply wonderful - well located and equipped, offering a perfect lakeside retreat. Both William and Nathalie are incredible and go out of their way to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. A visit to this lakeside paradise is now an annual tradition!
We just returned from a week at this cottage. Check-in was easy. The place was clean and fully stocked. The owners were available to answer any question’s we had. There was beach access, and kayaks. Look forward to returning next year!
Visited with our kids 6 and 9. They loved jumping into the water and swimming to the small beach (over and over). Kayaking was also great. The lake water is crystal clear. Very large chalet, with extensive garden. Exceeded expectations. Great trip.
My family had such a wonderful time at this charming home on a gorgeous lake. The house is lovely in every way and well-equipped. The views are spectacular. The hosts are warm, attentive people. There is plenty to do. We just returned from our summer trip and went out on kayaks each day - literally just steps outside the house and provided for the guests. Hiking is great in the area as well. And the garden is well-maintained and a perfect touch. This is such a great place to just slow down and spend time relaxing. Finally, there is plenty of wildlife to see all around. We spotted wild turkeys, humming birds, and beautiful butterflies. Our children loved the ducks. This is a fantastic home. We already miss it and are already planning to return.
Our stay was absolutely fantastic. The hosts Nathalie and William were incredible -- they answered every question very promptly and even went above and beyond to ensure that our drive up and arrival was a smooth one. The cottage itself was paradise. The setting on such a quiet road meant little worries of cars or noise and the garden was a delight. What isn't highlighted in the photos (but should be) were the two great entry points into the lake -- one small sandy area and another one with wooden steps. This made it very easy for our pup to get in and out (which she did often), not to mention for the humans as well. William and Nathalie even have the place equipped with dog life jackets! Pleasantly surprised by how many places there were around the property to lounge and the deck was close enough to keep a clear view on our dog in the lake, which was a bonus.
Everything from the extra care taken for check-in, to the bottle of wine kindly left for us, this was truly a wonderful experience thanks to Nathalie and William. Will absolutely stay there again!
Great time on the lake! We lucked out with beautify weather and enjoyed a swim every day. The cottage is rustic, but met all of our needs and more. It feels like a place that has really been lived in and loved for many years, which is really what we were looking for. Beds were comfortable and plentiful. Outdoor living space was great and indoor space was really comfortable but rarely needed. The garden is a joy with a little pond where our kids spent many trips to check the status of the frogs. We went kayaking and swimming daily off a little sandy beach. There wasn’t a space where I would feel comfortable diving into the water. The lake is a busy summer spot, so expect motor boats especially on weekends.Owners arranged an easy check-in with clean spaces. We walked in to jazz music playing on an Alexa for us and bottles of wine on the kitchen table. Kitchen is really quite well stocked (even a well seasoned cast iron skillet!) - only thing we didn’t see were any containers for leftovers. Plenty of towels and other necessities. If the lake isn't enough, the village of La Minerve is 15 min drive where there is a library, playground, pickle ball, and tennis as well as a bakery and patisserie, groceries, restaurant. 1km from the cottage is the entrance for a 5km round trip hike to a view point over Lac Maeve - so easy our 5 year old was able to do it all by herself! Plenty of ATV trails nearby as well so I had plenty of trail options for a jog. Would definitely recommend!
Hosts were phenomenal with communication and making sure we enjoyed our stay. From early check-in to late check-out, to treats awaiting us on arrival. Lots of amenities including everything for the bathroom, some first aid supplies, and many towels (beach and bathroom). The basement area is not pictured but it is excellent with two double beds and a bunk bed, tv, bathroom, and laundry facilities. In the extreme heat, our friends slept down there with their 3yo and dog and they stayed nice and cool. A portable a/c unit, fans, and air purifiers kept the main floor pretty cool during the day but there was a surprisingly cool breeze through the windows as soon as the sun went down. We stayed while it was 35-40 degree temps during the day and air quality advisories due to forest fires... and we're so happy we were at the cottage instead of in the city! We were quite comfortable! The screened deck was our primary dining room, with a nice breeze and protection from mosquitos and deer flies. We used the 2 kayaks every day and the canoe once (but it actually is in disrepair and probably shouldn't be used unless fixed). The lake is super calm and easy to explore and the sandy beach entry is great for getting out and swimming from shore... we made great use of the pool noodles!
Would not hesitate to recommend.
What a great place for a relaxing waterfront stay! The location is amazing! 2 of the bedrooms overlook the lake, which was a great view to wake up to. The patio off the living room is where we spent most of the time, from meals (we had to bring a larger table out for those) and morning coffee to quiet reading and afternoon cocktails. The view is simply amazing. We went out kayaking every day, the kid spent most of the day in the water with pool noodles, and some of the adults ventured out for a swim a few times.
We had our 2 cats with us, and both very much enjoyed exploring the property on a harness. There is a lot of wildlife, we were daily visited by chipmunks, birds and a groundhog came to say hi a few times. I would not recommend letting cats run loose. The main floor of the cottage is cat-safe, and we didn't let them go into the basement.
The cottage itself is clean, very well equipped. We only used the 3 bedrooms upstairs, but there's more room in the basement. WiFi quality is very good. The kitchen is rather small for a large group, but who wants to spend a lot of time in the kitchen on vacation anyway? The only recommendation I would make is adding a separate pantry in the mudroom. We were really struggling with space for all the food we brought for 9 days.
The gardens need a special mentioning - absolutely stunning.
William and Nathalie are great hosts, a pleasure to deal with. I had a million questions before the stay, and they were always quick to respond.
Overall, this is one of the best cottages we stayed at, and would definitely consider returning.
We had an amazing time at the cottage. The area is beautiful with great hiking, the garden and the view from the deck is amazing. The cottage is very comfortable and feels like home. It is equipped with everything you will need and the beds are very comfortable. The entire property is fenced, so amazing property for relaxing without worrying about your dog. The hosts go above and beyond to ensure you have a great stay. We had a great experience and loved every minute at cottage.
Everything as expected. Nathalie and William are fantastic hosts. Very quiet neighbours and large private lot. Great internet and lovely fenced garden. Couldn't ask for more. Will visit again.
We've come here multiple times now with our dog & various friends, and it's always a great time. The place is fully loaded with anything you could need, the location is peaceful, and the owners are great communicators! A+
Un endroit chaleureux , bien organisé pour cuisiner ou lire en regardant par la fenêtre pour admirer le lac tout proche.
On oublie nos soucis et on se sent bien.
Merci aux proprios!
Stayed here for 5 days with 2 cats and a toddler, they all had a great time. William, the host, was very friendly and helpful, and the instructions to all appliances and amenities of the property were very clearly logged in a manual. Best experience I've had, would recommend :)
Absolutely loved our time at the cottage! The cottage was fully stocked with everything we needed, and the fenced in yard was great for our four legged friend! Will definitely be back.
We rented for 5 weeks this summer. Beautiful perennial garden and fenced yard to keep the deer out. Did I mention lots of deer...
Place exactly as described. Internet is excellent, bed super comfortable and quiet neighbours. A piece of paradise by the water.
William and Nathalie were great hosts, followed up promptly but never felt too pushy. Cottage was well equipped with anything you could need.
Hiking from the cottage was good, with many trails including belvedere sentier trailhead just 300 metres away. Fantastic mountaintop view of the area (highly recommended).
The water fountain and pond were a highlight, as were the amazing sunrises. Our cat was definitely in his element.
Couldn't ask for more.
William and Nathalie were solicitous hosts, and lovely to deal with.
The cottage is well equipped and ideal for families. Lots of games, water sports equipment, and great wifi for the kids’ games.
Charming lake and we’ll situated near Mont Tremblant. Beautiful garden.

About the host
Hosted by William and Nathalie
Nathalie and I love to travel and experience different foods, wine and different cultures. Selecting a home or hotel to stay at is very important to us as it the place we call "home" for the short period we are in a different part of the world. The experience we have in our temporary "home" is a big part of the experience we take back with us from our travels. We bring all of these different experiences with us to our cottage - your "temporary home" as we hope to make your time in our home as great as the times we have had in others.
