'Frankly My Dear' is a luxury oceanfront home offering all the amenities you could ever want for an unforgettable Outer Banks vacation. When you need a break from the beach, spend some time relaxing poolside, or soak in the hot tub under the stars.

The gourmet kitchen will provide the chef in your family with everything they need to prepare a memorable meal. Granite countertops, double ovens, 2 dishwashers, a Keurig coffee maker and breakfast and dining areas. The entire family will enjoy the entertainment amenities featuring a rec room with pool table, foosball table, wet bar, theatre room, satellite TV sports package, Wii game room, exercise room with recumbent bike, treadmill and elliptical machine with ocean views.

'Franky My Dear' is located just north of the Duck Research Pier and close to downtown Duck. The Town Park has a soundside boardwalk, a playground, gazebo, and picnic area. There is a path through the town for biking, walking, or inline skating. The quaint shops, art galleries, day spas, and fine seaside dining are some of the unique features of Duck.

Beautiful house next to the beach.

We loved the house...it was big, clean, and next to the beach with easy access. Since we came in February, it was cold and rainy but we enjoyed our vacation because of this house. The fireplace gave off great warmth and we sat by the huge picture windows looking out on the turbulent ocean waves. The kitchen and living rooms were our sanctuaries, and the kids enjoyed the foosball and pool tables downstairs. All in all, a great find and a wonderful house for our vacation.

Convenient and Perfect for all ages

All bedrooms have privacy, plenty of shared space and things to do on a rainy day. Easy short trip to set up on beach for the day. You can see your chairs from the top floor (kitchen/living room). Great to see where everyone/anyone is from beach to pool and inbetween. Rooftop birds nest deck is perfect for happy hour after a Long Beach day. This house met all needs.

Family stay

We had ourselves and our two daughters families with two young children. The location and the house were perfect for our group. We loved the kitchen! Our only issues were the downstairs refrigerator was not cooling and it was not fixed while we were there. The griddle and n the kitchen was not working and was not fixed during our stay and the WiFi was super slow. We got better speeds using 5G. I would remove all the technology for the TV’s and switch to smart TV’s and stream. Everyone has their own streaming these days. We never could get the tv in the movie room to work. We are probably going to rebook next year. The place was perfect for our family. Thanks for sharing your home.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What a pleasurable family vacation! Frankly My Dear was a perfect fit for our group of 13. The location was ideal with the beach not being too crowded and a great restaurant in walking distance (although a crosswalk would be nice). We rented beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. to be set up daily which helped us make ample use of the beach using the public path accessible from the side of the yard. We had great waves for swimming and surfing. Chasing the ghost crabs on the beach at night was hysterical! We saw dolphins daily.The house was beautifully decorated and spotless. The kitchen was exceptional. Beds were comfortable but the pillows were dead flat. The grill was subpar and unusable as the temp never got above 350. We would stay here again.

It was nice to have a game room and movie room since it was rainy and windy all but 5 hours of our week vacation. The house said it came with beach chairs so we did not bring ours, and then we could not find them. I called to ask and did not receive a call back for like 2 days, so we rented beach chairs hoping the sun would come out and it was a big waste of money since we could have just brought our own chairs if we had known.

Our family had an enjoyable stay. The only downside was the elevator was not working. That made navigating a three story house painful for one of our guests. Once that’s fixed, I’d highly recommend the house!

Maine level is a dream! Ocean views and access amazing! Can see beach activity from inside home and deck and crows nest is awesome! Pool and area is beautiful! All outdoor chairs on every level so comfy!!! Kitchen a chefs dream! Pots, pans and dishes and glassware anything you would need!! Bedrooms beautiful! We had 5 adults and 4 children and lots of room. One adult in wheelchair so the elevator and handicap accessible bathroom a huge plus! Like a 5 star hotel! This house was decorated like it was staged to sell! There are not enough words to say how much we enjoyed our stay!!

The location was great and having the pool and the beach so close was a must.The inside was beautifully decorated and clean. I was a little disappointed when we pulled up to check in the outside is in rough shape. The picture is deceiving from the booking site. The Paint was pealing on decks rails, shingles were primed and being repaired, it could be power washed more frequently, the decks and patio had dirt it and bugs on the house. I'm sure the salt air doesn't help, once we got unpacked we had a beautiful time with family!!

Great Property but house not being properly maintained

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've stay at the property the past two years. It is a beautiful location with great views and access to the beach. The home has great amenities and furnishings. However, it is not properly being maintained. TV's in theater, library and game room did not work properly. Maintenance gave up trying to fix Theater until we left. Dishwashers are not affixed to counter so that when racks with dishes weigh on door the entire unit tips forward. This was same issue as last year, you'd think it would have been fixed by now. The exterior of home hasn't been power washed and windows extremely dirty leaving views to beach hazy. Bottomline, great house and views but home needs more diligence maintaining this gem of a property.

Just a few items that need repair: The ice maker is running very hot, emitting heat through the top. It is not situated into the cabinetry. One of the dishwashers innards, to the right of the sink, falls out when you open it. We left a note to not use. The toilet paper holder in the pink room was not connected to the wall.

Some of the items were broke or were not working. Hot Tub, kitchen freezer, elevator all had outages during the week. Called service 2-3 times. This was the only downside.

Plenty of space for all, it was nice having our own master and bath. The pool and hot tub was thoroughly enjoyable too. Kitchen was terrific with everything one would need. The elevator as used frequently by all. The only downside was the lack of comfortable beach chairs and there was only one tipped pool cue. Would definitely recommend "Frankly My Dear" to anyone.

Peaceful retreat

The house is furnished and equipped with everything you need to relax and take a break.The views from the living area on the top floor were the highlight of our stay. After a full year of quarantine this house did not disappoint. Easy access to the beach, many different things to do inside the house, as we had few rainy days. Everything felt as comfortable as at home, and our week went so fast that did not get to do everything we planned. This house is highly recommended.
