About this property
Large luxury cottage with hot tub sauna high speed Internet near Mont-Tremblant
Whether you like to hit the mountain trails, enjoy the night sky or plunge into a pure clean lake after a nice soak in a hot tub and cleansing sauna or just quiet time our spacious home awaits you. Our home ("La Maison Jolie") is an oasis nestled in the aspens, hemlocks, great white pines and cedars. It is perfectly located for the enjoyment of all outdoor (and indoor) activities, summer and winter. Once you arrive you won't want to leave. Enjoy our well-appointed, bright home with comfortable seating and original art throughout. Relax in our hot tub and sauna and tranquil atmosphere overlooking crystal clear Lac Joly or by one of our 3 fireplaces (one wood-burning and two gas) or spend a romantic evening in one of our Jacuzzi tubs for two. Our gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with high-end appliances and every tool and utensil for the gourmet cook. The "open-concept" Great Room is where your group can play andrelax together. We have an outdoor, built-in, gas BBQ just off the kitchen which is covered from the weather. It has the living room, dining room, kitchen, bathrooms and laundry all on one floor for easy entertaining. All the rooms in the house with the exception of one bathroom have spectacular lake views. Imagine waking up and seeing the lake from your bed or making dinner while looking at the deer crossing the ice covered lake! There are also several balconies from which to sit outside and enjoy the spectacular views. Our lake water is crystal clear and pure but to add to your safety we have a Viqua UV drinking water purification system.
We have ultra-high-speed fibre optic internet service. When you phone is on wifi mode you will enjoy excellent cell phone service.
The lake is perfect for swimming, fishing, kayaking, and canoeing in the summer and for a nice stroll in the winter. There are two docks, and a small walk-in entrance to the water. There is dockside space for a motorboat (not provided). Games are provided for those inclement weather days. In the winter you can cross-country ski, snow shoe or toboggan on or near the property.
We care about our environment and your comfort and have installed a state of geothermal central air and heating system with air purification and humidity control. This has dramatically reduced our carbon footprint. For downhill skiers, the property is conveniently located a short drive from both Mont-Tremblant and Mont-Blanc. The Petit Train du Nord with its beautiful bike / cross country trails is a 3-minute drive away. There are many spectacular hiking trails but you can also enjoy bird watching right from your balcony. Our local grocery store (a 5 minute drive) stocks everything you need (with onsite bakery, butcher, fresh veggies and a beer/wine/liquor store) in the town of Labelle. We love this home and we are sure that you will too!
****Winter notice: You must have a vehicle with AWD or 4 wheel drive and snow tires to go down the driveway and park by the house. The number of the local tow truck service at the corner of rue Moulin and rue Lac Joly is Billy-Joe Provost +1 (819) 430-8809.**** Tell him Clive sent you.

About the host
Hosted by Clive Kessel
I am an urban planner by training and worked in construction and property management in Toronto, Canada. I am married and have four adult children. My passions include skiing, bicycling, my Vespas and Volvos. I love to cook. My favourite foods include oysters, anything with avocado, sushi, schnitzel, steak frites, Caprese salad and Niçoise. I love to travel and discover new places. I also like returning to the very special places I've visited and learning more about them. My favourite places to visit include mountains and the sea side and in particular Western Canada (Whistler, Rockies), Mont-Tremblant, Montreal, Prague, Paris, the Alps, south of France, Amalfi Coast and Croatia.
Why they chose this property
We were drawn to this property because of its beauty and the quality of the natural environment (lake and forest) that make up this area. The property is at the end of the road and therefore enjoys no traffic. The lake has only a few dwellings on it so it is relatively quiet. We are surrounded by woods, water and wondrous natural beauty yet we are close to everything that the Laurentians have to offer.
What makes this property unique
Amazing views, large rooms, comfortable beds, seclusion, proximity to swimming in summer, all sorts of outdoor activities (e.g., golf, water skiing, horseback riding, cycling and hiking) and snow sports in winter (22 minutes to Tremblant South Side). Low carbon footprint.
