The cottage was beautiful and stocked with everything you needed. The cottage is located in a perfect spot and so quiet. The men were catching musky every day so everyone was happy!
Took family to the cottage and had an amazing time. Made lots of memories. Was able to launch my Seadoo from the property. Great dock area to hang out. The lake connects to other lakes which was amazing for touring around. Host was outstanding.

so very glad we met and was able to exceed your vacation expectations
This property offers gorgeous old time Canadiana charm with modern conveniences.
My family and I spent Thanksgiving weekend here. We enjoyed the cozy fire, the nature, the open concept and the little historic bits and bobs the home is decorated with. The owners were easy to contact and very helpful. 100% recommend this beautiful rental.

I'm glad you had a lovely time at Rockfirehouse , your welcome back anytime
This a rustic, yet modern beautiful home. Situated on a quiet, private wooded lot with great views of the lake. Would stay again without hesitation. I have rented many Vrbo properties and Mike was one of the most attentive hosts I have dealt with. Thanks for a great week!
Mix of modern convenience with the charm of a an old log cabin
Great panoramic view of the lake, the property is so private and tastefully landscaped, we have truly enjoyed our stayed.
The cottage itself is decorated with plenty of antiques that blends beautifully with the old character of the log cabin. The two wood burning fireplaces were such big hit with the family we had them running all day.

Mike was a great host, quick to respond to questions and very accommodating to our needs with an elderly guest. The cottage is large; we didn’t even use the great room!
Enjoyed our stay very much. We understand it was a new cleaning crew before we arrived, and they did not do a particularly good job.
The property is beautiful, lake is quiet and very serene. Michael the owner was very obliging.
We would certainly make a return visit!

sorry the cleaners didn't clean the fridge 100%
they are a new local company I've hired , this was their first day at the property, and as you know it's a rather large property
I should of made a pre arrival inspection
hopefully the two bags of fire wood and the Rose wine I dropped off for you made up for the inconvenience of giving the fridge a a quick wipe down ,
Thanks, Mike. Your cottage was charming! The location is beautiful and peaceful and you thought of almost everything! Wonderful hospitality.
(The only thing we could do without is needing to take our garbage to town at the end of our stay ;-)

it was a pleasure to host you and your family
as for the Garbage , yea it's unfortunate we don't get municipal Garbage/ recycling pick up service even though we pay a ton of Property tax , I even have to pay for the Garbage passes that I gave you, but such is life , luckily the Dump is only a 5 minute drive , and by taking away your trash it eliminates the local yogi bears from visiting , and if your lucky on the Dump run you may see a few bears shopping in the dumpsters
anyways I am glad you had a lovely holiday at RockfireHouse
Every aspect of the stay exceeded expectations. Mike was super responsive, detailed and friendly in all our interactions. The cottage has everything imaginable and the lake and neighborhood are simply beautiful. Rockfirehouse won't disappoint!!

thank you for choosing Rockfirehouse
We were 5 adults and a 1.5 year old who enjoyed 5 days of relaxation and quality family time at this beautiful, historic place. We kayaked, paddle boarded, made some great meals and enjoyed the various places to lounge. The screen in porch, great room and pool table was a huge plus!! Kitchen was well stocked! We also enjoyed a day visit to bobcaygeon for Kawartha dairy ice cream and the sandy lake beach area where my toddler played in the sand for hours. Would book this place again!
Our stay was incredible. Mike was a great host. He met us at the property and gave us a very thorough tour of his hog home.. He treated us like friends and was texting me after he left with suggestions of things to do. Our three and five year old grand kids had a blast sledding down the slope to the lake. We had the fire-pit going which.made watching the kids and having a drink super fun. We would take walks in the woods and on the frozen lake and then roast marshmallows in Mike’s warming hut that has a wood stove. The home has two impressive stone fireplaces. Having those going while relaxing and playing pool made it the best stay we have experienced in a long time. Thank you Mike

I am very very happy your Family had a lovely Family Holiday at Rockfirehouse
and you were able to enjoy
and Thank you for choosing Rockfirehouse
You won’t be disappointed renting this cottage. There is more then enough room for 6 people inside and out. There is lots of history here and the owner Mike has done a great job bringing in more since he purchased it. He was always quick with responses and went above and beyond and educated us with info about many pieces found throughout the cottage. We would love to rent here again with Mike.
We very much enjoyed our stay. The house is very comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped. We enjoyed all of the different fireplaces / firepits both inside and out. The kids loved the separate bedroom area as well as the tire swing and kids' kayak. Rainy weather didn't matter as there was lots of space inside and activities to keep everyone busy. Thanks for having us.

thank you

Mike is a great host who takes pride in the home and grounds and it shows. He is very friendly and relaxed, a joy to speak with. The home has some history (not the evil spirits kind) askk Miek about it. The place was well maintained and clean. Spacious kitchen with a huge island, great for gathering around. All little things you need are there and well maintained. Two wood burning fireplaces are needed in March but so cozy once they get going. Muskoka room off the main room is also very cozy when the propane fireplace gets going, we really enjoyed that room. Thanks Mike your place is great!
This spacious and gorgeous log cottage will give you a wonderful getaway experience. From the generous hospitality of Host Mike to the well stocked supplies to the overall feel and comfort of this magical place, you will want to return to this beautiful cottage. Each room offers the guest a unique feeling because of the well thought out details. The picturesque lakeside setting only adds to the magic. We were all beyond impressed & pleased!

my pleasure your group were fabulous guests and thank you for the Host Gift and Card u left on the kitchen Island I will definitely enjoy
love to see u return
We stayed for six nights in January 2021. It was a great escape from being in the city throughout the pandemic. Great winter walking trails nearby. Lake was frozen and we were able to walk on it. Tobogganing for the kids on the property. The kids particularly loved the tire swing shaped like a horse! They also loved their "secret" bedroom upstairs. Comfortable beds.
The internet works well. My husband worked everyday with no issue.
Mike was there to show us around and give us tips upon our arrival. Great response for any questions we had. Recommend!
