Escape to this spacious, shingled three-story on the sandy spit of Pacific City, where you will enjoy sparkling ocean views from one end of the home and gorgeous Nestucca River views from the other! Located on a quiet side street but within easy walks to Cape Kiwanda or the restaurants and shops of downtown Pacific City, this versatile retreat is just two blocks from an easy, sandy beach access.

The views are enhanced by the home’s height and the location of the great room on the third floor, where you’ll enjoy lots of Pacific light and space to gather. The living room has high windows, contemporary furnishings, TV, and a woodstove for cozy evenings. A fully equipped galley kitchen has a breakfast bar to supplement the dining table seating for eight, and an outdoor deck with river views, seating and a barbecue to extend your dining options. All four bedrooms are located on the second floor, for excellent views and the space your guests appreciate for privacy and comfort. The lower level has a bonus room for lounging on sofas and watching the big-screen TV.

You’ll find plentiful outdoor activities right out your door, whether you choose to walk miles of sandy beach in Bob Straub State Park, kayak or fish the Nestucca River, surf at Cape Kiwanda, or enjoy award-winning beer from outdoor seating at the Pelican Pub. The kids will enjoy tide-pooling and riding horseback on the beach in the summer. Easy for Family Groups

Four families within a family, this worked great. Floor for living, floor for sleep, space for open roll-around play for grandchildren and late night movies on ground level. Kitchen easy for more than one cook, lots of storage for food for our five days including containers for leftovers, fridge tight but workable. We ate in-house since not many options out, which was perfect for us. Walkable to beautiful beach and cute small town. Highly recommend kayaking on the lovely river. Three Capes drive is glorious.

Great house for groups, very clean

My husband and I really enjoyed how clean and spacious the property was. Very close to the beach, and walkable to some lovely restaurants. Note that the balcony is on the inland side of the house, and check out requires laundry and self-cleaning. We will be back!

Amazing Property

Fun visit to the Beach

We had the best time at this VRBO. It was clean and cute- we had everything we needed for a great family time. Just a short walk to the beach. Great view of the lake on the porch and a view of the ocean out the windows. I look. forward to staying here again in the future.

Perfect updated home!

We loved staying here and would definitely stay again. It’s updated with clean furniture and greatly equipped with essentials and then more. We cooked every night and had everything we needed. The only room we didn’t use was the basement.

Wonderful getaway!

This was a lovely home, with everything we needed including a well-stocked kitchen. Our only complaint is that the cups and mugs did not get clean in the dishwasher; there may be something wrong with the top rack sprayer? But we re-washed them by hand, no big deal. Lovely views, nice big open living room to gather as a family, and super close to the beach. We had a great weekend!

Our New Favorite Place in Pacific City

We were so impressed by this house! We rent various beach houses up and down the Oregon Coast and this is definitely one of our favorites! The views of both the lake and the ocean were beautiful. Beach access is within a 3 minute walk. The kitchen is FULLY stocked with everything you could possibly need. The 3 levels were perfect for our entire group to have the space that they needed to relax. The kids and adults loved the closet of games. We always say that every house that we rent has a quirk...we couldn't find one with this house. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you for sharing your home with us for my daughter's birthday weekend.

Nice quiet place between Tillamook and Newport

Four bedrooms one flight up from garage/driveway and living areas one more flight up. This place was clean, comfortable and wonderfully located to beach access and “town” (rather, main intersection). Green Acres horse/camel back riding is practically next door. If you have bad knees or don’t like stairs, then this place might be problematic. Otherwise kitchen is well stocked, bedrooms and overheads are well lit (even bedside lights were good for reading), and all bathrooms and kitchens are well appointed. Note: if is windy, stack the deck chairs or you will hear ghosts all night.

This rating is based on the way that an unfortunate situation was handled during our stay for a family reunion. The house is as described and we understand that unforeseen issues with technology can occur, but I cannot recommend due to the way that the owners handled the issue. The WiFi was not usable during our entire stay. This caused a lot of problems as two of our family members needed to work during the stay and one ended up having to leave halfway through the visit. According to a technician who spent over an hour in the family room trying to fix it on the first night, it was faulty equipment that could not be replaced until after we finished our stay. I contacted the owner via the rental portal (they do not communicate directly with guests) and was told in writing that we would be refunded 30% of the nightly rate for each affected day. I responded that 30% was fair but that the refund amount quoted was only 30% of two nights, not the three we were staying. When they confirmed that we were in fact staying for three nights (I'm not sure why this wasn't clear based on our reservation), they said oh ok, they would check back with the owner. A couple hours later I was told sorry, the owners are refusing to refund the rest of the promised amount, there is nothing more we can do as it is up to their discretion. This is unacceptable, to make a fair offer that we took in good faith and then retract it.
