Designed by renowned modernist architect Bert Read, this elegant cedar home is nestled in bushland and a 200 metre flat walk to the beach. The house has an abundance of natural light with walls of glass, timber interior with vaulted ceilings and wrap-around ironbark deck made to soak up the sunshine while looking out over Saltwater Creek right at your back door.
The home features two large bedrooms both with ensuites, plus two more single beds on a mezzanine and access to another separate bathroom, accommodating up to six to sleep comfortably. It has underfloor heating/cooling, ceiling fans and a central brick fireplace. There is a modern, fully equipped kitchen and weber BBQ for entertaining. Full linen service is also provided for your convenience.
Plenty of places to relax - laze in the hammocks on the back deck or in the giant beanbag watching native birdlife, spend time unwinding in the main loungeroom or head up the beautiful timber spiral staircase to chill out on the mezzanine living area.
Rosedale beach is secluded and dog friendly. There are wonderful coastal and bush walks in the area and when you get back from the beach, the house has two hot/cold outdoor showers to wash away sand and saltwater. The NSW South Coast has stunning beaches, delicious fresh seafood, laid-back coastal vibes and world-famous surf breaks - the perfect place to unplug from busy lives and reconnect with nature.

Such a beautiful property so close to the beach. The home is architecturally stunning and set in amongst the trees and is so quiet and tranquil. Just a short stroll to a stunning beach with so much to explore. Great family getaway.
House was located a walking distance to the beach Check in was easy The house was very clean and there is everything you will need We had a great stay and would be happy to return for another visit I give five stars
We had a great time, so close to the beach and an amazing natural environment. The house had everything we needed and the huge deck at the back looks straight onto the creek
Great location (easy walk to the beach) amongst the bush and well-equipped set-up. House had everything that was needed for a week long stay. Easy comms with Gary and Claire. Would stay again!

Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Had to clean the dishwasher before use. Ants in nearly every room including power points. Outside needed a good clean. It was a very relaxing holiday.

Hi Erica - surprised and sorry to hear that but thanks for your feedback. We have passed on to the cleaner and also done an ant treatment through the house. All the best, Gary and Claire
Reads at Rosedale is a comfortable, well equipped holiday house very close to South Rosedale Beach. We have stayed twice, in both winter and summer, and would happily return.
Stunning house a stones throw from the beach. Great facilities - particularly appreciated the AC and the easy to use coffee machine on a hot weekend which was perfect for hanging out inside.
We had a lovely three days at this beautifully designed house. It is perfect for a family get together in winter and also, I imagine, summer. The house is well appointed with a very well equipped kitchen and lovely spaces for relaxing. There were lots of games for children which were useful as it rained quite a bit. Despite that we were able to visit the local area which is stunning (the beach is five minutes away) and also visit Mogo Zoo. There are picturesque walks nearby too.
We had a great time at Rosedale. It is a beautiful property. Close access to the beach.
Thanks Claire and Gary. We had a lovely family holiday and were so grateful to be able to bring our dogs along. The house is just beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Thanks Andrea, we’re so glad you enjoyed the house and your holiday!
Backing onto the river, and a short walk to the Beach down the road, Reads is situated perfectly for a relaxing summer break. The house is well equipped and comfortable. My doggo loved exploring the wild yard and near by beaches. Also, a short drive to other south coast beaches and towns to visit. Love it. Would stay again.
Great bed and coffee machine, hot showers, well kitted out kitchen, laundry and short walk to a wonderful beach that is dog friendly 247 until the end of October. Heaven!
The house had a lovely inviting feel about it. Great lay out and very picturesque. The beach is just a hope skip away with easy access. Great stay, thanks.
The house, facilities, location and tranquility were perfect. Great set up for family (including fur babies) to be together, but also spaces for us to be able to do our own thing as well. Would highly recommend to others.
