About this property
Charming cottage
This cute cottage is filled with natural light and heritage character. A short walk from everything, it features water views, a beautiful rambling garden with a huge deck to enjoy it from and relaxed, cosy charm. It's the perfect base for a couple, a group of friends or a family looking to escape, unwind and explore Hobart.
This 1890s cottage has genuine heritage features and personal touches around every corner to make you feel at home. The spacious main bedroom features expansive water and garden views from the bed, while the second bedroom has a lovely pitched roof and a leafy aspect. They both have queen size beds. Both bedrooms are up a steep set of stairs which may not be suitable for older guests, young children or guests with mobility needs. The cosy lounge room features a roaring fire that keeps the whole house warm, and a big flat screen TV with Netflix. NBN wifi is available in every room of the house. There is a separate dining room with a library of books and games you are welcome to use during your stay. The kitchen has a gas stove and electric oven and is amply stocked with essentials including a spices and condiments, teas, coffee, cook books, and cooking appliances. Open the back door and a spacious garden unfolds, featuring a large deck with daybed and chairs under a leafy canopy, a paved area with a dining table, and a beautiful cottage garden filled with apple, plum, pear, kiwi, lemon and grapefruit plants that you are welcome to graze on when in season. The garden is completely private and provides you with a large, green sanctuary in which to enjoy your breakfast, soak in some sunshine, enjoy a book or recover from your sightseeing.
Guest access
You will have complete and private access to the entire home and garden for the duration of your stay.
Other things to note
My house shares an internal wall and external fence with my neighbours and they are very noise sensitive. They have been vocal about this with a few guests recently who were enjoying the outdoor space. If they hear you outside, even if your sound levels are entirely acceptable and reasonable, they might shout abuse at you over the back fence (you will only hear them not see them, it’s a high fence!) and attempt to harass you. So long as you are being reasonable and respectful in your noise levels I have no problem with you choosing to ignore this, but it's up to you to decide if that is something you are comfortable with as a potential experience during your stay, and whether the way you intend to use my house is likely to inflame this sort of response. If you think it might, you might wish to book somewhere else instead.
