The location was easy to find using google maps. It was very nice and we enjoyed our stay very much. It's a short distance to downtown Durango. It had everything we needed. Friendly owner and easy process. Beautiful view. Will definitely be coming back.
The place would be great if they finish the remodel. It needs better furniture. The place was a little hard to find because there is nothing showing the house numbers. It was a cute quant place and quite.
Everything went well. This is an excellent place to stay. Highly recommended.

Great stay and hospitable host
This place was perfect for what we needed. Pet friendly location with a good amount of space for the 4 of us, we needed a home base for exploring Durango and a kitchen with the basic essentials to cook most our meals. The location is remote which was desirable for our group to getaway for the long weekend, and we did have some cell service. The host was incredibly responsive and very helpful and answered all my calls and emails. The views are absolutely incredible and the drive there is beautiful, it's just out of town but not too far from everything (about 12 minute drive back to town). Plenty of clean towels and blankets. Overall the place was great for our family of 4 plus the dog and the host was very friendly and helpful. Thanks for a great stay!

Smells like ammonia
The bedrooms smelled strongly of what I’m assuming was cat urine. Everything looked dirty. It was a really uncomfortable stay. We wouldn’t have stayed the first night if we had anywhere else to go. It was so uncomfortable we didn’t get any sleep. We did not stay our second night.

Rustic stay
The area is beautiful. The property owner, very nice. Lives above rental. Very quiet. Need to bring all necessities for stay. Nothing is included. Bring toilet paper, dish soap, hand soap, Kleenex, paper towels, body wash, hair dryer, coffee, no washer or dryer available in rental. Very large for 4 people and clean. Just needs a little tender care. Front room needs a couch or more furniture. No Wi-Fi available.

Vacated
This place was abandoned, trash everywhere in the yard and weeds taller than the window on our car. Had to find another place to stay which ended up cutting our trip short due to the additional costs. Tried to call the number associated with the property but it was not accepting calls. What a frustrating time and made the last days of our trip not enjoyable.

Hi Jennifer, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- The property is on 3 acres of land and does not include regular yard maintenance. While the grounds are primarily a grass mix, I understand that the natural look might not align with everyone’s preferences.
- We acknowledge there are some items related to the on-site excavation company, but I take your feedback seriously and will reassess how this is presented to ensure it doesn’t detract from guests’ experiences.
- I understand how important communication is to guests before and during their stay. I regret that you couldn’t reach me during your visit, and will review the contact details provided to ensure future guests can easily get in touch.
Thanks for letting us know about your stay!
The yard of this property was like a scene from the movie Deliverance - a complete junk yard- nothing like the picture shown on vrbo site .
No shelves in the freezer of the fridge & one shelve in the fridge part.
The yard is very unkept - this property is way way below VRBO standards & should not even be offered on the vrbo.
When we arrived we thought we were in the wrong place. It didn't look anything like the pictures because there was no more snow cover. There was junk everywhere on the surrounding property. The inside was not clean, there were barely any essentials provided, and there was no security since the lock didn't work. The "road" to the house was barely passable. We were supposed to stay two nights but left early the next morning. I called the owner but he never returned my call. I guess we paid dearly for the beautiful mountains around the property. I can't believe that VRBO is even associated with this place! What a disappointment!
I was thinking it was a cabin all by it self! It’s more of a place to stay when you go out hunting! Nice and cozy but not much for a family oriented place! Beautiful view and nice an quiet!

Very Nice
My daughter and I and her little friend all went out there to stay for four nights. We had a great time! this place has an amazing view , you literally have the view of three mountains around you it’s insane and absolutely gorgeous ! I was out there every morning having my warm cup of coffee it felt like I was in heaven. No lie. It’s just beautiful and very serene . The place looks like a little cottage on the outside and when you go in it’s very clean and spacious. We didn’t use the second room even though it was nice and clean. We used the first room because it had a double bed and a single bed (bunkbeds) so we all stayed in there. There were plenty of linens, pillows and more than enough towels. The kitchen was fully stocked the bathroom has brand new flooring and light fixtures. There is dish satellite so plenty of TV to watch. Everything worked, there were no problems with the water pressure coming from the tub or the sinks if anything it came out a lot LOL I was so nervous after reading the reviews on this place and I wasted a lot of negative energy before getting there…. for no reason whatsoever. I don’t think I will ever go by the reviews again. The owner was cool and had no problem helping me out in finding great places to take the kids. We really enjoyed our stay and cannot wait until our next trip out there.
