Good cabin but not well equipped.

The cabin overall is secluded and nice except for the expressway nearby but that really didn’t bother us much. The biggest issue was cooking supplies. We visit the Red River Gorge to getaway. We usually cook at the cabin we rent. That was very difficult here, no baking sheets, no grill cooking utensils, scissors, spatulas, and several other things. Again, the cabin was nice but it’s not well stocked so plan ahead.

Loved this cabin!

This cabin was great! Comfy beds, close to things but still felt away from people. Hot tub was great! The kitchen supplies and grill were perfect for the foods we cooked! It was the best getaway!

Close to Everything

Haven at the Red was the perfect retreat for a long weekend. The space was great for the two of us. It was close to everything that we had planned. You definitely need the 4 wheel drive to get to the cabin, the road is steep. There is some minor road noise due to the proximity of the highway, but nothing that will keep you up at night.

Welcoming A Frame Cottage

The road to the cabin and the driveway are challengingly steep with sharp turns. Take your 4 wheel or all wheel drive, but once up the hill the cabin is neat, clean with a welcoming atmosphere.

Everything you read about the driveway is TRUE! It’s treacherous! Other than that, we enjoyed our weekend getaway! It was peaceful & cozy!

It was a cute cabin we did enjoy the hot tub and the cleanliness of the cabin and hot tub. We just felt it was nothing over the top and just an average stay. We also came after the ice, snow and felt that the property should have been maintained better with the porch being covered with ice and snow to get into the door and my husband actually fell down. Felt like communication about the snow and ice should have been communicated better instead of me asking and then arrive and it not just be parking issue but a issue leading into the cabin with all the snow and ice on the deck that you walk across to get in the door. Overall it was okay.

The stay was okay but there were some things that were broken and not working. When we arrived, the door handle was falling off/not fully screwed in. It took a little bit to finally figure out how to get in. It also smelled a little like pee once we got inside the property. Half the lights inside didn’t work, especially in the loft. The blinds were broken in the loft. Only half the jets in the hot tub worked as well. It was hard for two people to fully enjoy it. The hot surface light indicator on the oven was on during our entire stay. The door being broken was a big issue and we didn’t fully feel safe. After telling the property about the door when we arrived and all the issues when we leave, they just said “we hope you enjoy your stay”. No comment of we are so sorry to hear that or any other comments.

We never made it out to your property. Therefore, I cannot give it a rating at this time

A partial refund would be nice since there was no cleanup necessary since we never stayed

Trip cut short

The house is great in its set up and sleeping arrangements. Instructions for use of hot tub, fireplace and electronics would be helpful. We never were able to use the fireplace or the TVs Also lost internet as soon as the clouds and rain moved in. The driveway is an adventure in itself and tougher on wet pavement.

Miss Representation

Cabin was not what it appears in the photos. Multiple things did not work including TV, lights, stove, wifi. Cabin seems to be falling apart bathroom floor is slanted and rotting around the shower. Deck around the cabin was not in good shape as well. Overpriced for what it is. And is not secluded as pictures show. Disappointing would not book again.

Simple and sweet

This cabin is located in a great spot to explore everything the area has including the natural bridge, skylift, underground kayaking,Nada tunnel,Miguel’s,and so many hiking trails. There is no cable and the wifi comes in and out but we were looking to get away from that all so it worked out for us. We brought a lot of food with us in coolers from home but there are a few gas stations right by the cabin. The driveway is steep and we parked our van at the bottom of the driveway first day then backed up the driveway remaining days and it worked out fine. My family loved the simplicity and location of this cabin,no frills, just the basics but perfect for us. Bring paper plates if you don’t like washing dishes because there is no dishwasher and also no washer or dryer.

AC wasn’t working and tried to call and message management company and they never sent anybody. Hard to enjoy when it’s over 80 degrees in the cabin, could tell the cabin hasn’t really been cleaned, floors were showing signs of rot. Driveway and make road are in very and condition
