Two bedroom cottage has a queen bed in each bedroom and a futon sleeper in the living room. Tastefully furnished in lodge log decor with a free standing gas fireplace stove in the living room. Dining table with seating for four. Full bathroom with shower only. Through the wall air conditioning, cable TV, and wifi for your comfort and relaxation. All bedding, linens, and towels are provided. The full size kitchen comes with a stove/range, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster. It is equipped for basic cooking and eating. Outside on the patio is a gas grill, picnic table, and patio chairs for your evening bar-b-q. The cottages set in a park like setting with mature trees, and lots of lush lawn. Just a short walk to the paved bike path or to the lake for some recreation.

Located by beautiful Canyon Lake in Rapid City just thirty minutes from Mt Rushmore. Easy access to all Black Hills area attractions. Most attractions including Mt Rushmore are 30 minutes or less.
Bring your bikes, walking shoes, or roller blades and enjoy the great paved bike trail that goes for miles along Rapid Creek. Trout fishing in both the Creek and the lake. Paddle boats are available for rent to mingle with the ducks and geese on the lake. Playgrounds for the kids and best of all, mosquitoes are not a problem. Bike rentals to enjoy the miles of paved bike paths around the lake and along the creek.

Family visit

We had a wonderful stay in cabin 14. It was so clean, cute, cozy and affordable. Everything we needed was there and the extra blankets, pillows and towels were a plus. We stayed there 10 years ago and were glad we returned. This stay was even better than the last!! We will stay again when visiting family in Rapid City.

The cottage with personality

It has been updated but retains that feel of another era. And it is surrounded by beautiful trees. The property is impeccably maintained. My friend and I can't wait to return!

Had to make last minute plans to stay in Rapid City. Were happy to have found this place. Plenty of room, good kitchen and even the sofa sleeper was comfortable. Clean and A/C worked great (it was over 100 degrees outside). Friendly owners. Nice, short walk to the park/lake.

Right in the middle of it all!

We picked this spot because of its central location to all the Black Hills destinations. We had planned to ride our motorcycles to the Badlands, Mt. Rushmore, Deadwood, Spearfish Canyon and out to Devil's Tower. This lovely cabin made the best home base for our adventure. After riding all day, it was great to come back "home" to relax, fix dinner and prepare for the next day. The beds were so comfy and the whole place felt warm. So much better than a hotel room. you can spread out, wander the park and explore the area. It seemed like it was quiet the whole time! We truly enjoyed our stay at Lake Park and would recommend it to anyone!

Great location!

My son is going to school in Rapid. We stayed here a little less than a week after he had surgery. It was perfect for our stay! It had great room for my son to get around. The kitchen was stocked well with everything we needed to be able to cook our meals in. I enjoyed my daily morning walks around the lake Park. Be sure to visit Chapel in the Hills,l. It's just up the road, which was a nice walk as well. With the cabin being just on the outside of town, everything we needed was close by. The lady in the office was very helpful and friendly. I didn't catch her name but hope to see her again. Thank you for the great stay! We look forward to visiting again when in Rapid for a Hardrocker football game!

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was clean and we really enjoyed the campground and location. The hot water heater was a problem, as it frequently would not turn on so that we could access hot water for washing dishes and showers. We shared our concern with the property manager; I’m hopeful this will be resolved for the next guests.

Great Experience

We had a great time staying here. The property was located close to a wide variety of places to eat, visit, and spend family time. The property was exceptionally clean and offered a good set of separate rooms for us at a reasonable rate. My only suggestion for improvement would be additional AC units in the rooms. It was hard to get the air from the AC unit in the living room down the hallway to the bedrooms, which meant we either had rooms at 80* (It was 95 - 105* outside) or the AC and fans had to run all day long (and are fairly loud). Outside of that, this was a great place to stay and I would definitely visit here again!

Great vacation in South Dakota

The property was extremely clean and well kept. The on demand water heater was a little temperamental. There were several times we had to wait for it to work properly for a warm or hot shower. Overall it was a wonderful stay. We love the Black Hills and will return in the future!!

Awesome property & location

We thoroughly enjoyed the area. There is a walking / bike path right next to it and a small nature park across the street too. Close proximity to everything we wanted to see and do.
