Tucked high on Sea Grape Hill, Bon Bini Cottage is a peaceful retreat overlooking beautiful Coral Bay, St. John. The cottage boasts picturesque views, convenience to the town of Coral Bay and nearby beaches, and all of the amenities of home.

Bon Bini features a well-equipped kitchen, suitable for making meals during a relaxing evening in. The living area offers a cozy couch with views, air conditioning, an indoor dining table, and a private and spacious attached half bath. The kitchen, living room area, and half bathroom make up one building of Bon Bini Cottage.

The second building of the cottage is home to the private & quaint bedroom with attached full bathroom. Complete with a queen sized bed, it is outfitted with air conditioning to keep you cool after a day in the St. John sun. The attached bathroom offers an indoor shower, clothes washer/dryer and large vanity.

At Bon Bini Cottage, the private deck is the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning as the sun rises or listen to the enchanting sounds of tree frogs at night. Relaxing in the hot tub for two under the stars is a wonderful way to end the day. The outdoor shower showcases the view of Coral Bay while still being completely private. Lounging chairs to soak up the sun and an outdoor grill complete the space.

The cottage is also stocked with lots of beach gear, including: two beach chairs, four beach towels, a small cooler with ice packs, floats, and two inflatable stand-up paddleboards!

The property where Bon Bini Cottage is located is often visited by sheep, goats, donkeys, chickens, and tortoises. There is also lots of lizards/geckos and birds (thrashers, bananaquits, & hummingbirds) around at all times. Finally, it is important that we note to guests that a cat named Sebastian visits the cottage frequently and enjoys being pet. Sebastian has a comfortable home with plenty of food and water (he is not a stray cat!), but enjoys making his rounds at all the houses on the hillside. If you do not enjoy the company of roaming cats (or possibly other wildlife), Bon Bini Cottage may not be well-suited for your time on St. John.

The location of the cottage is the perfect mix of tranquility and convenience. A quick drive down the mountain leads you to the town of Coral Bay. Various restaurants (many with with live music), a grocery store, mini mart, and shops are all located within a five or ten minute drive. The beaches of the North Shore (including the notable Maho Bay and more secluded Francis Bay) are less than 15 minutes away. Visitors looking to enjoy the locals crowd on the beaches can venture to the East End of St. John or Salt Pond and Lameshur Bays in 20 minutes.

Please note that we have one NEST camera in the driveway/parking area. This camera records movement, but not sound.

This was our very first trip to St John and we are so happy we stayed in Coral Bay at Bon Bini cottage. The view was absolutely gorgeous. The cottage was very clean. Very convenient location to multiple restaurants, which Skinny Legs was our favorite. We were so thankful that Emily had so many beach necessities- dry bags, beach bag, paddle boards, beach floats, and coolers with ice packs. Most importantly, Emily was so fantastic to work with. The day before the trip, our flight got canceled. I texted Emily and told her about cancellation and asked if we could extend a day and how much it would be. Instead of charging us for another day, she just adjusted our dates. So grateful for her kindness as I know she could have easily charged us for another day. Between loving the cottage and how great it was to have Emily as the property manager, we will definitely be back to Bon Bini!

We had a great stay at Bon Bini. Bed was comfortable, AC kept us cool, plenty of cooking stuff in the kitchen, and the hot tub was great for evening star watching. We’d happily book here again!

The view is why we booked and we were not disappointed. Cottage was clean, everything worked, the hot tub was a nice way to relax in the evenings and the beach chairs came in handy.

Great location with beautiful view of Coral Bay. Close access to all the great beaches on East side as well as restaurants. Loved the hot tub and outdoor shower. Not a fan of the roosters who love to crow at odd times thru the night.

Paradise on Coral Bay!

Bon Bini is so worth the climb. We loved the privacy and beautiful view overlooking Coral Bay from our deck. Having the two cabins, outdoor shower and hot tub made our stay a fun little adventure. We look forward to a future stay Bon Bini.

Our stay at Bon Bini was absolutely Top Notch. We have always loved staying on the Coral Bay side of the island and generally have traveled with a larger group and stayed at a friends property. We took the chance on a new spot for just the two of us and everything was perfect. Property manager Emily did a phenomenal job and everything was as described. Highly recommend this property for a couple looking to relax on the best island in the world!

Anniversary Trip to the National Park

We wanted a place to stay for our two week trip to St. John for our anniversary. Bon Bini was perfect. The cabin and the view is just as amazing as the photos and description describe. It is perfect for two people and offers a great place to come home and relax together after a day of hiking, snorkeling, or enjoying the beach. Coral Bay is quieter and far less crowded than Cruz Bay, but still has some amazing restaurants and bars just a few minute drive from the cabin. The host was very easy to reach, and available if we needed anything.

Hard to beat view.

Bin Boni is very small but a beautiful clean well cared for place high on the hillside overlooking Coral Bay. We enjoyed the view from the deck watching the action in the harbor. The goats, chickens and birds were entertaining below our deck as well. Love the outdoor shower and the beautiful landscape around the place.

Bon Bini was everything and more! Pics don't do the view justice. We absolutely loved the location! Once you get the hang of the switch backs to get to cottage you are good to go. Divine, rain or shine

Cute, charming cottage…exactly as advertised and even better than the pictures. Great views of Coral Bay from the hot tub, the lounge chairs, or the covered bar stools. We happened to catch some really rainy days but Bon Bini was a very relaxing place to wait out the rain. Bedding was comfortable and bath towels were very soft. Having a washer/dryer on-site was a nice bonus. Emily is a great host and her advice made what could have been a challenging/confusing arrival, very easy. Would definitely recommend staying here or one of her other properties on the island.

Wonderful view of Coral Bay. Walk down the hill to Skinny Legs or Rhumb Lines or drive to the nearby grocery stores. In between our two favorite beaches, Maho and Salt Pond. Cottage had everything you need to make meals. Note that the bathroom is in a separate building than the bedroom- you may want to bring a robe for getting up to go to the bathroom in the night. Host provided excellent instructions, including a video of how to get to the cottage. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Holiday in Paradise

Absolutely amazing stay. Bon Bini (and St. John in general) exceeded our expectations. The cottage was in a fabulous location, just above Coral Bay, with stellar views and a very comfortable set up. It was a quick drive to Salt Pond Bay, for snorkeling with sea turtles and the Ram's Head hike, as well as several other beaches/bays part of VINP. Not as close to Cruz Bay, but we didn't mind as there were a few small shops for quick supplies close by, plus the drive was always a thrill! We enjoyed the kitchen, giving us the option to cook in (which was helpful over the holiday since many restaurants were closed). Addition of in-unit laundry was amazing. Bonus points for the outdoor shower! Emily was a responsive host, providing some great advice ahead of our stay. Overall, this is a highly recommended rental, and we'd love to come back sometime.
