Perfect for our family (2 adults, 4 kids). It was very clean and the manager was very easy to communicate with. My only complaint was there is not many pans or baking sheets in kitchen.

Family Vacation

This cabin was perfect for our family of 10. 3 king bedrooms with bathrooms in each, and 2 sofa beds. Plenty of room for all of us. Loved the porch and rocking chairs. Dinning table perfect for family meals and game nights! We will definitely stay here again.

Our stay was a great getaway. Cabin was clean. Rooms were spacious. Kitchen fully stocked with everything you would need for cooking. Just had to pack my bags and go to grocery store.

Property is great, but not as secluded as we thought. Lots of houses around. Cute house and great for our family getaway. Owner needs to add to the eating utensils, not enough forks for 6 people. Would rent again.

Overall we had a great time at this VRBO. The location, House, and View were fantastic. A couple of suggestions: could use more utensils, hooks for towels, coasters for coffee mugs. Also there is a slight drip coming from the hot tub.

Everything was great! Great location and just what we were looking for. The only thing to maybe improve upon is the hot tub was not on when we got there and no directions to figure out how to work it. It would be nice to have better toilet paper. We really loved the place, and we would come again. The view could have been better, from both decks. The weeds growing in front of the deck block a good portion of the (beautiful Mountains) the lower deck has no view at all, the lighting in the game room not good at all in the evening (need to update the lighting)

Just like promised. No issues, clean, and everything worked. May be a bit smaller than pics appear, but great for up to 3 families. Granddaughter made a great school report on watching a bear feast in a neighbor’s trash. Yep, bears are real. Lock the trash bin. Thanks for a great weekend with kids and grandkids!!

Great Cabin

This is an awesome cabin. Practically everything was great. But the hot tub apparently leaked and we were only able to use it 2 times. And the arcade never worked. I followed the instructions which were on the wall next to it and it never functioned properly. It’s a shame because the hot tub and the arcade were advertised in the listing for the cabin and were big selling points in our decision to stay there.

Nice cabin. Really good view. Pool table is nice when you have teenagers. Video game a little hard to work but still nice. On the down side, the cabin just up the mountain is really close. We were lucky that it was empty until the end of our stay. Can hear people talking and walking on the deck inside the cabin. Cable TV but not much of a package. No on-screen guide. Still a really beautiful cabin and view.

Minor cleaning problem

The cabin was GREAT. It was exactly as listed. Small complaint: the blinds looked as if not cleaned in several months. The view of the mountains from balcony was limited because it appeared that the pruning of some close trees had not been done this year. Did not have a panaramic view.

Cabin was just ok. Beds were not comfortable at all and had minimal sheets and blankets. We got snowed in and the representative I spoke with was not helpful at all, as she could not let me know if our road would be plowed or not and basically just said to wait. I know that is not in her control but being rude is never the answer.

Poor response to snow removal

We arrived after 5:00 pm during a snowstorm. The roads were untreated and impassable to one of our guest’s front wheel drive vehicle. An “emergency “ phone call to Jackson Homes customer service was useless, as it was simply an after hours answering service . An “urgent” email was responded to after two days. Our party needed to park at the bottom of the hill in the overflow lot and carry their belongings 1/4 mile uphill in the snow. High Point Escape itself was a nice cabin: very clean and well stocked with all we needed. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of extra towels and blankets for our party of seven. Only minor complaint is that we could not figure out how to turn down the volume on the arcade game- it’s very loud. The hot tub thermometer must be off, as it said 109 degrees but felt much hotter - only tolerable for a short soak. We would stay here again if not for the poor customer service response to our weather concerns.

Awesome view from porch.

Kitchen was stocked well. The basement shower had no water pressure and the upstairs and main floor showers were not draining well. The hot tub worked the first night but would not heat back up again. Overall the cabin was nice and we had a great time.

Positive experience

Pretty view, cabin was very clean, quiet neighborhood. I appreciated the oscillating fans available in each bedroom. Dim lighting throughout the cabin. Hot tub didn’t seem to be working properly, we never used it. I wish there had been a yard of any kind for kids to play in… there is really no outdoor space beside balcony or the small/steep driveway. All things considered, a positive experience.
