Douglas Lake Log Cabin - 10 Person House - Great Mountain Views All Seasons

This elegant log cabin is nestled in the East Kootenay mountains and is great for single or multi-family retreats. Enjoy the peaceful isolation and stunning mountain setting all seasons of the year. This rental is apart of the Bull River Guest Ranch here in Bull River. This cabin does not have cell signal, but does have Satelite TV and WIFI.

To access this home in the winter months, it is a must that all parties have all wheel drive, studded winter tires, and possibly chains. Main road (who maintains our road) sometimes does not get to us too quickly due to our back country location. We are located 16 km on a gravel road.

We are 45-50 minutes to both Cranbrook and Fernie.

Sled trip 2024

Great house and a beautiful location. Owners were great to deal with and very responsive to any questions. House had lots of beds making it perfect for a group of guys on a snowmobile trip. Only downside was the access road. 15km of gravel that was in poor shape because of the logging traffic and warm weather conditions.

Amazing mountain cabin retreat

The perfect mountain getaway for a large group wanting to relax with a view and go skiing. A beautiful cabin in a remote location with plenty of room for everyone. Perfect for those that want to go skiing, go on a nature walk, or relax by the fire. There is plenty of seating to kick your feet up, read, feast, or play some board games. We’re already thinking about coming back next winter!

We had an incredible weekend at the cabin! The remote location provided tranquility, making it a perfect escape for our families. The hospitality was outstanding, and the cabin, with its almost luxurious feel, exceeded our expectations. Spacious interiors and thoughtful extras made it a delightful stay for both adults and children. Highly recommend this hidden gem for a relaxing getaway with friends and family.

Douglas Lake Cabin

Stayed here for a weekend while skiing at Fernie. The cabin was set up great. Did not feel crammed even with 10 people staying here. Bit of a trek from Fernie, but worth it! Would definitely stay here again. Communication with host was great and very helpful. Highly recommend.
