The unit is situated in a quiet and peaceful area but still only 15-20 mins from Ballarat. The owner was good to deal with and the accommodation was very clean and well presented.
Perfect for our needs. Responsive host. Lovely experience for our kids.

Stay at Jenny's Scarsdale property
Jenny did not appear, daughter polite but said she didn't know a whole lot about it. Floor dirty and kitchen area benches and dishes not very clean, preused dirty kitchen sponge supplied and old stale tea towels.Bath towels damp and unpleasant unfresh smell.RC aircon good heated space quickly, but when other unit used it at night it was noisey outside our bedroom. Also the hot water system stopped 5mins into my shower on last night and was still cold next morning.
A lovely place to stay - very clean, well appointed, beautiful scenery & a good home base while we did lots of driving & sightseeing. Thank you, Jenny!
Was a great place for our trip away to Victoria, was only a shortish drive to Ballarat, was in a great location to relax with each other and look at horses and watch some amazing sunsets. Would definitely come back for another stay.
Overall, the place was good, and very clean but I think that it was very hot in the first bedroom on arrival, it would have been better if the drapes were closed against the afternoon son, the air conditioner in the lounge did not reach the main bedroom so the bedroom did not cool down. As well one of the beds in the second bedroom squeaked every time the person in the bed moved, but I think it was good vale for the money..
Everyone is very friendly and there are always food items when we get there. Another fantastic stay, thanks again.

The property was very clean and spacious with all amenities to hand for a comfortable stay, including a smart TV and internet. Jenny was an excellent host and nothing was too much trouble; she made us feel both welcome and valued. Would certainly recommend.
We had a great stay at the picturesque property close to Ballarat. The kids loved patting the horses each day and I went running on the rail trail which is just down the road. Highly recommended. Thanks
Awesome accommodation for us. Nice an clean, had everything we needed for our stay. Cereals, bread milk etc - much appreciated. Great location small town just down the road, and safeway 10-15 mins away. Loved our stay thanks soo much.
Great location for those wanting to ride the Ballarat-Skipton Rail Trail. We were able to ride from the house to the trail easily. Jenny was very responsive to messages. The house was clean, comfortable and well-equipped and had good undercover parking for the bikes. My only complaint would be that the bed was a bit saggy, but overall it was a great experience.
A lovely country property that has a wonderful outlook over fenced paddocks. The house itself was clean and well appointed. Jenny was an excellent host. The local village had a small IGA and the pub served excellent food.
Jenny’s property was lovely and new, clean and quiet. Jenny made sure that I had all that I needed. Thank you for having me

About the host
Hosted by Jenny Smith
I am originally a Ballarat girl. Moved to Papua New Guinea for 16 years to work for a very large security company as their National Kennel Manager. I trained protection & detection dogs. In 2016 my husband, daughter (Jessica 11 years old at the time) & I had to leave PNG very abruptly after my husband of 23yrs was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. He passed away in 2017. I decided to stay in Australia at least until Jessica's schooling was completed but I could not cope being on a normal house block after having lived on large acreage all my life. As I am sure you all are aware, private schooling isn't cheap, especially for a single mum, so I started an import company and the BNB listings. I like meeting people & have had 10 yrs experience in hospitality, so hosting suits me perfectly.
Why they chose this property
Country area but close to city.
